Had an okay experience. It is exceptionally loud. Hard to hear the only other person at my table. Not very conducive to conversation. And the chairs were uncomfortable. The garlic/parsley fries are amazing!! The tostada espanola appetizer (I think it was called) was okay. The sauce improved it but that was a bit on the spicy side for us. The salmon was cooked to perfection, but didn't have much flavor. We salted it, squirted lemon on it, and finally resorted to dipping it in the sauce left over from the appetizer. It was also more pricey than I expected.

Palermo Viejo is one of my favorite restaurants on Bardstown Road, which is saying a lot. I have taken a variety of friends there, and they have each and every one been impressed with the ambience and especially the FOOD!

I love Palermo. It's one of my faves in all of Louisville. I get the same thing every time, La Parillada (sp) and it is always good. I was a little disappointed that they no longer comes with the fries covered in chimchurri sauce. I'm a meat and potatoes kind of girl.

Very clean environment. Thought the food was just OK. Don't go on a cold night as the front door has no protection from the elements.
You certainly know when anyone comes in and it was a moderate night.
