The food was very good, the ambiance was excellent, and it was family friendly (traveling with a 12 & 18 year old). If my little guy plays in this tournament next year we will return."

  • "We really enjoyed our visit. Everything we ordered was very good and was served very promptly. I would recommend not ordering anything until you are ready for it because the kitchen was putting out food within minutes of ordering. We had the ropa vieja for an appetizer, my wife had lamb stew for her entree while I had the roasted mojo pork. The flavors were great. Combine this with a very expansive drink menu and it made for a great evening. We will definitely be back. A friend of mine recommended Paladar for brunch, so that may be the next box to check."

  • "Paladar features fantastic mojitos, the best fish tacos anywhere, and an abundance of Cuban food to satisfy any of your cravings. This night, however, we diverged on our usual and I had the rum glazed pork with coconut-mango rice and my friend the roasted pork tacos al pastor. My food was made to perfection; my friend's tacos were too spicy for her on the first couple of bites, but her taste buds settled into the spice and said she enjoyed them, although I noticed she didn't eat much. The spicy guac and chips were delicious, and the Mexican chocolate cake was divine. I only wish this restaurant wasn't so noisy. When we told the waitress we wanted to split a dessert she left and came back with two checks; even they can't hear!"

  • "If you need to meet friends off of 50 and it happens to be 97 degrees out in the shade, then this is your place. Convenient, easy access. But don't go for the food. Mango chicken salad had not yet ripened mango. Guac and chips was decent. The waitress was very nice."

  • "I had the Shrimp and Grits. I havent tried them here and our server, Angie, highly recommended them. Wow, excellent. The shrimp was nicley seasoned, the roasted corn grits a flavorful twist and the veggies a nice addition. Definately try this one. Ask for Angie as your server. She took great care of us."

This visit we sat outside on the patio and the second hand smoke coming from smokers by the front entrance was undesirable. I hope that this concern will be addressed so that patio customers don't have to deal with the second hand smoke."

  • "I went to the restaurant with my wife and three year old daughter for a Mother's Day dinner. I was excited to go, but my wife and I found our meals to be too salty. I had mixed ceviche and it was a shock how salty it was. I also had the Ropa Vieja and that was good. My wife had the Rum Braised Pork and it tasted as if a shot of rum was thrown into the pork, not what she or I expected. We will not return."

  • "I made reservation on Open Table and ended up adding two more the day off with no problem. The table was ready when we arrived and the waitress was prompt to appear to take our drink orders. The restaurant is loud and the diners are very close. During the course of the evening, the waitress said at least 3 times - "sorry for the delay, I'm just really busy". Luckily the food was delivered by others and came piping hot, beautifully presented and delicious. We got a free flan as a birthday treat, however, it took a long time to arrive. We also ordered the Tres Leches and it was horrid - like a large stale doughnut (very dried out and hard) with some whipped cream on top. Overall, a positive dining experience."

Fruit ceviche also tasted overly salty and sour inedible. " bottomless mimosas" were hard to come by long wait for 2nd for clean glasses. Some tables received a carafe but not us. Don't recommend for brunch."

  • "Paladar is the only place in Annapolis to get most of the dishes on their menu. They are unique in this area. The food is also very good, very tasty. We started with the mixed seafood ceviche. Their ceviche is great, every time. We always get one of them to start. For dinner, my wife had the braised beef ropa vieja, and I had a crispy beef jalapeno stir fry special. Everything we've had there every time we've been there has been so tasty. Even the coffee drinks after dinner were delicious. We do have one complaint about this visit, which is that they brought our entrees just before we finished our appetizer. I'd like a few minutes after the appetizer before the main course. Even with that little problem, we'll be back."

  • "My husband and I treated an out-of-town guest to drinks and a very pleasant meal here. the margaritas and mojitos were both well made. I had the braised beef ropa vieja and it was fabulous. You CAN eat lightly too - our guest had one of the two chicken salads offered on the menu - can't recall which one, but she said it was great. It was a Sunday evening, so it wasn't crowded, but I pass by this place all the time and see that it can get very busy. There is a patio area that we will try when the weather permits."

  • "Well, I had written a mediocre (perhaps even poor) review of the restaurant on this site. Shortly afterwards I was contacted by a manager who apologized for the experience and offered me a gift card for a return visit. Went back this past weekend and wow what a difference. They had obviously flagged me for special treatment and they did a splendid job. Everything we ordered was good and the Braised Beef Ropa Vieja was excellent. The service was fantastic and they sent over a complimentary Cuban Bread Pudding that was to die for. Looking around the restaurant all seemed to be enjoying and although we certainly benefited from the special treatment, I'd say this place has gotten it act together and I highly recommend."

  • "I've been to Paladar for Happy Hour numerous times and it is always a fantastic experience. Everything is delicious, especially the creative selection of mojitos and margaritas. This time, we went for a family dinner. There were 5 of us and we all tried different things and everyone was incredibly happy. Service was good, Lindsay was knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. The only thing we waited a bit for were the drinks, and I just assumed it was because the bartender got backed up."
