"Not for special occasions. The place is nice and the food is OK. But, I took my wife for her birthday and they didn't even offer a candle on a cupcake even though I had told them in advance *and* made sure the Maitre D knew about it when we arrived! For such high prices a gesture -any gesture- should be the norm."

"After having three very good evening meals at Palacio, my family decided to try it for brunch on Easter. Our table of ten was against a wall, where the acoustical reverberation was so bad that even the younger people couldn't hear each other. Only one of our group really enjoyed his meal, the Omelette de Jardin. The Chilaquiles were dominated by chips, and the Huevos Ahogados had good flavor, but the chewy Serrano Ham made them difficult to eat. My classic Margarita was great, but the Bloody Marys disappointed. Our waitress did go to lengths to provide good options for our 91-year-old mother, which we appreciated very much. From now on we will stick with dinner, in small groups only, when we dine at Palacio."

"This was not our first or second visit to Palacio, but it will be our last. The service was awful, and the food was bland. We were a party of 12, and our reservation was at 5;00 on Easter; they did not have macaroni and cheese for the kids (bad planning on a holiday especially early in the evening)! Our waiter had to be asked multiple times for simple items; literally waited 30 minutes for chips and salsa. Drinks, salads and entrees took forever and were given to the wrong people. We were there 2.5 hours, the bill was close to $500, and we all agreed it was awful. RIdiculous."

"The decor/1ambiance was really nice. Our server was full of energy, playful and informative about the selections. The food was ok but rather skimpy and bland for the price. Great place to go in LG for location if willing to compromise on the food."
