Diner Reviews
  • "We both had seafood and it was excellent. Catch of the day was Halibut and the other dish was lobster tagalitelle. Yummy"

  • "Palace Cafe has definitely upped their game since last we visited. Food was superb!"

  • "I love Palace Cafe so much, that I drove my husband from Dallas for him to experience it! Of course we were going to be in town anyway for the Michael Buble concert, but I made sure we would fit in this fabulous restaurant! The food is always perfect and the service was top notch! Our sweet waitress thought it took a long time to get our food (we didn't think so at all) so she brought me another duck bento. I was raving to her how great it was, so she brought me another! That is service! Always great, wonderful and worth the drive!"

  • "The food was very good as always. However, we had to wait a long time for our desert. It was worth it, but just seemed to be a long time. Also, this was form my 60th birthday, which the restaurant knew, so it would have been nice to have had something - even something very small - thrown in for the birthday. We always go here for special occassions."

  • "The brunch is very good, service is pretty good but the comfort level is not that good. There are lots of seats crammed into a small area so I hop yhou like your neighbors conversation."

  • "Palace never disappoints! The food is fresh and the chef prepares wonderful combinations of tastes. Creme Brûlée is best."
    Dined on 7/25/2014
  • "My wife and I love the Palace Café. The food is always got a special interest to the Menu and in general you find something fresh seasonal and with a twist. We love the variety. Good wine selection. We love trying new restaurants but fell quilty for not just coming back to the PC."

  • "Excellent dinner menu. Prepared perfectly and outstanding presentation plus super service. Across the board... always Outstanding!"

  • "I was extremely impressed with the menu- our group tried some small appetizers and 3 different entrees. The brisket burger and scallop linguine were absolutely delicious. The scallops were the best I have ever eaten. I would definitely recommend Palace Cafe as a great Tulsa treasure."

  • "They have a fun brunch selection including brunch cocktails that go beyond mimosas and bloody marys. My husband had a cocktail with tamarind shrub which was delicious and I had the "champagne dream." Our server was incredibly friendly and I could overhear other servers also being really nice and chatting, including recommending other similar restaurants in the area, which you don't always see and as a visitor to Tulsa was really nice. My only complaint was that the tortilla strips in my migas were pretty much undetectable - but they were still very tasty and fresh."

  • "We had the privilege of dining for dinner on Friday night before wicked. The food was wonderful...great presentation. It had been a long time since we had been to the Palace, but will certainly add that to our favorites list for the future. The waitress was very attentive and was efficient to all our needs. I had grouper over greens and green fried tomatoes. Yummy!"

  • "Excellent menu. Very reasonably priced. Lunch was fabulous! Very accommodating staff. Big crowd, but service was excellent. We were not rushed and given plenty of time to enjoy."

  • "We had a very nice brunch. Delicious fresh food & great drinks! Good service! Would highly recommend!"
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "We love the bentos and always get the full selection to try them all! The scallops linguini were cooked to perfection, four huge divers scallops, and the beef medallion with blue scalloped potatoes was cooked to exactly as ordered and melt in your mouth. Then the recommendation by our waiter, Dustin, of the beignet with wild blueberries really topped off our meal. Excellent night!"
    Dined on 6/13/2014
  • "We were allowed to eat leisurely without pressure to order and move along too quickly. We felt very comfortable taking out time, visiting, letting our palates rest between courses. It was a very enjoyable evening"

  • "Food is always good. New decor is just an added plus."

  • "There were 3 of us and we all enjoyed our food immensely! I had the Beef Tenderloin and it was perfect! the Blue potato thing was good but way too salty. The girls had seafood and loved it. This is about the 6th time I've been here and it is wonderful each time!!!"

  • "I was my first time in and I was not disappointed. Palace Cafe came highly recomended to me by a friend so when we were in Tulsa and had to stop by. The food was amazing and our waitress was great! She recomended her favorites and they were all spot on. "

  • "I avoid chain restaurants, so I patronize good local restaurants like Palace Cafe. Food for six of us was very good. Only negative was that my seafood risotto had way too much lemon...probably just a careless mistake. All else was extremely tasty and well prepared. Service was tops. Will go back often. Should have told them about the risotto problem!"

  • "The Palace is a nice place. The clientele was a mix of trendy 30-40 somethings and a few older people. The restaurant is lovely and our booth was very comfortable. The noise level was a little high but the booth design helped muffle the sound. The wine list was nice and the food was well presented. The price range is a little on the high end and some of our food was not as warm as it should have been. "

  • "Nice and comfortable restaurant with parking. Nice wine selection."

  • "The Palace is aptly named. I have never had a bad meal there - or even a mediocre one. James is an exquisite chef and I recommend him highly. I have been eating his food wherever he is since 1997."

  • "I brought my work team to Palace Cafe for a couple of drinks and dinner. We were there from 5:30 to 8pm, I was surprised that the restaurant wasn't busier than it was at that time. The restaurant was highly touted, and I had not been there before. The food was pretty good and unique but not as good as the expectations and unfortunately the service was lacking which always makes the entire experience worse. We decided to stay and order dessert. The sea bass special was dry and the Risotto was bitter. The chocolate cake was dry and tasted like it was three days old. Most likely, I'll give the restaurant another try sometime but I won't be recommending it until I find a reason to. "

  • "I don't go out much, but the Palace is the place I love to visit when I do. This was the second year in a row I've taken my mother there for Mother's Day. We were both excited to go again this year, and we were not disappointed. "

  • "There aren't a lot of restaurants in Tulsa with special food. This place has very nice menu with good vegetarian options. "
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "Freshly prepared local food. The Chef always has great inspired dishes."
    Dined on 5/10/2014
  • "A fun variety of brunch style cocktails, and very good food. The tenderloin hash with poached eggs was cooked perfect and tasted wonderful. "
    Dined on 5/4/2014
  • "Palace was obvious choice for our special occasion. One of us enjoyed scallops w/linguini, the other the daily catch which was halibut served on spinach with a mildly spicy sauce and two roasted veggies -- "jerusalem artichokes" and cauliflower -- as sides. A moderately priced Italian Pinot Grigio was good for both of us. The new layout of the expanded Palace gives lots of privacy to diners even if there is activity in the bar area. Portions were a perfect size for us so had no problem splitting a piece of chocolate layer cake for dessert. A wonderful celebratory evening. Chef James has never let us down!"

  • "The fantastic "spring risotto" alone is worth the visit to The Palace. Salmon was also excellent - tasted freshly-caught & was grilled to perfection. Berry sorbet outstanding, too. And we always order - & love - the grilled romaine salad. Wonderful dinner, as usual."

  • "Magnificent little taste treats that elevated wonderful food to another level..yummy sweet tomato jam juxtaposed with salty goat cheese appetizer, preserved lemon peel in great fresh kale salad, huge lamb chops on bed of scrumptious succotash, Harissa chicken with sriracha sauce. And the Lemon Drop Tart with fresh berries and spun sugar was perfect ending to great meal. Service was excellent--not hovering but returning at appropriate intervals to see how things were going. Booths with high backs give privacy. We were there early in evening and the only negative was a small child crying at times and fussy. "

  • "We had an early reservation for Easter Brunch and even though we were a little early they were ready for us. The service was excellent. The waiter was very attentive without "hovering." The food was superb! My over-medium eggs were even perfect which almost never happens."

  • "I'm not from Tulsa, but I'm fortunate that my family comes to visit often. On their last trip, I thought it would be nice to try Palace for a Friday night dinner...and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we've had in town. We started out with appetizers, but the one that stood out the most was the sun chokes. They were amazing! I've tried them in a few other restaurants around town since, but no one else has come close to preparing them as well. I ordered lamb for my main course. It was far better than anything I've had in town. The temperature, seasoning, and sauce were all perfect (literally). We also ordered the daily catch, which was very good as well. All around, it was an incredible meal! Looking forward to coming back soon."

  • "We have dined several times at The Palace and keep coming back for the fresh, inventive take on bistro food. Locally sourced when possible, the food changes seasonally to keep the menu fresh and worth returning for. The booths insure a private dinner for your party. Overall a great experience."

  • "Creative Sunday brunch options. The "Green Eggs and Ham" choice was delicious."

  • "Great Bloody Mary's and our food was great last Sunday."

  • "I always look to The Palace when I have a business lunch with out of towners. I know the food will be consistently good and there's enough variety that everyone can be satisfied. Their soups are always yummy and pair well with their heartier salads (available in half portions)."

  • "Nice little restaurant and bar to celebrate a birthday. Luke, the bartender makes a great original Sidecar with a sugar rim. A little too much orange juice added for my liking but overall a good drink. Never tasted 10 cane Rum, which Luke selected in lieu of the standard Bacardi label. Dinner was great, from the salad (1/2 Caesar-partially grilled) to the fresh Halibut-tasty. Beautiful presentation. Wait staff cordial, friendly and attentive. This was our second time here, will come again. If you get a chance to seat by a window facing Peoria do so. Watching the traffic go by close reminded us of eating in NYC."
