Palace Arms at the Brown Palace
A history of good foodI enjoyed dining at Palace Arms and would recommend it to anyone! The food was good, but the service and ambiance were fantastic! I especially enjoyed their preparation of Caesar salad at my table...and that's saying a lot...since I don't really like Caesar salad...I guess I've just never had it prepared fresh. I didn't find out until I got there, but apparently Brown Palace has a long history behind it. They offered some information on the Brown Palace history to read if you wished. It was interesting. This is definitely a restaurant to go see.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMBest place I have ever eatenThis is my far the best place I have ever eaten. The entire staff did a perfect job making our evening memorable. If you want the best Caesar’s Salad and Bananas Foster you've ever had, both of which are prepared tableside, this is the place.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been before for specialWe've been before for special occasions (anniversary; birthdays). Great place, but it is NOT inexpensive.
We had halibut and scallops - both were very good, not overdone at all. Knowledgable sommelier.
Service was great. These folks are pros, not always coming back and asking how everything is, which is VERY annoying.
Tableside preparations are always fun; try the Caesar for two or the bananas Foster.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific experience. TheTerrific experience. The food and service were excellent. I would highly recommend for a special occasion.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMA really fine, deluxe restaurantA really fine, deluxe restaurant with excellent food. Incredible wine list, and a very helpful wine steward, even if you are only having wine by the glass.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding experience. DefinitelyOutstanding experience. Definitely the best restaurant in Denver. The staff was friendly, attentive but not intrusive. The Somolier was knowledgeable about the wines and the winery's and steered us to a perfect bottle. While the price point may not be for everyone as it is an expensive restaurant but well worth the price.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent continental cuisine,Excellent continental cuisine, truly exceptional service, a special occasion type of place with old world charm.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOur special evening of diningOur special evening of dining was everything we hoped it would be. We opted for the 4-course meal and included one wine pairing. The food was divine and the wine pairings were superb. The price is not unreasonable if you know in advance that you want to delight your senses with food. The service was simply outstanding. This was a memorable dining experience!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMNothing better!Nothing could be better than the pleasure of dinner at the Palace Arms. Nothing. It compares favorably with some of the world's most outstanding restaurants. We love everything about it and have returned time after time.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMService was second to none!Service was second to none! Great experience, highly recommend!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I celebratedMy husband and I celebrated my 40th birthday and our 10th wedding anniversary here and it was just as great as we'd hoped. The staff is friendly and helpful, recommendations are spot on, and there's a lack of pretension that we appreciated. I had the foie gras torchon, which was on a circle of brioche with kumquot marmalade and pickled shallots. It was delicious. It was my first time eating foie gras and it exceeded my expectations. The star attraction with out meal was the "Rossini" with the 7oz bison. It was phenomenal. All day today I walked around and remembered how delicious that course was - perhaps the most memorable dish I've ever had.
I'd highly recommend this dining experience!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMPalace Arms was chosen atPalace Arms was chosen at the request of my (picky) fellow diner. She was most pleased. Yes, it was expensive, but the food was outstanding. The crab cake was delicious, the bison specialty was superb and we loved the table-side preparation of bananas foster. This was the perfect place for a special occasion.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMStill a great place to DineI love dining in this room. And what is great about the palace arms is how they have been able to continuously update and modernize the menu while maintaining the traditional entrees and table side preparation we as a family love. The waitstaff makes you feel like they really enjoy taking care of you without being intrusive or stuffy. The entrees were perfectly prepared and tasty and our girls loved the Caesar salad. The waitstaff told us that if there is a particular entree we would like next time to call ahead and they will have it ready. The Palace arms is THE place to eat in Denver.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful restaurant toA wonderful restaurant to celebrate a special occasion (or anytime for that matter). Servers were dressed formally and very attentive to our needs. They were all very friendly and represented an international compliment. The food was great as were the wine and drinks.1/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAppreciated the gluten-freeAppreciated the gluten-free accommodations and substitutes. However, when we ordered dessert, it was improperly listed on the menu and indeed had gluten, yet the server didn't alert us to that fact. It was listed as pudding but instead was actually bread pudding. Kind of a huge misstep.1/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
