A word from Painters' Art Food Bar

Off of the southern state at exit 57 south, PAINTERS' RESTAURANT, 10,000sq. ft of fun & the avant garde of restaurants. The walls are packed with art from ceiling to floor with the work of local and NYC artists; all for sale.

The menu rivals the creativity on the walls with offerings… from the "GENIUS" burgers (everybody loves the "andy warhol burger" even though its not a burger) to chef Luis Marin's latin twist on the san francisco seafood classic "cioppino" or seseme crusted ahi tuna. The menu is eclectic to say the least. We have our own version of "tapas" we call YUM with ASIAGO GARLIC BREAD, 5 KINDS OF NACHOS, SUSHI TUNA, FRENCH ONION SOUP...it goes on.

We also offer a SAT AND SUN BRUNCH 11-4 (tip: THE CAJUN BAYOU BREAKFAST has eggs shrimp and grits). But its our atmosphere of art (lots of our local artists are often inhabiting the bar), community and fun that makes PAINTERS' the suffolk county place to be. Continued

"Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Love all the unique art on the wall and the vibrant energy of the place. Was especially excited to find an expert balloon artist and magician, which made our 8 year old guest very happy. Everything we ordered was outstanding. I will definitely be back!"

"I've eaten here quite often and have planned this type of dinner before. My spouse and my daughter's birthdays fall around Easter every year, so I plan one night out to celebrate them all. I was unhappy that they seated 11 us at a high bar top table, the waiter was so monotone and inattentive that I was so unhappy that I had to pay the 20% included gratuity. Never again."

"I found this place through a web search for 'kid-friendly' restaurants (we have four, including 6 month old twins). It's part restaurant, part art gallery. My wife is a bit of a foodie, so I checked out the menu before hand and it offered a variety of interesting sounding dishes, so we gave it a shot. We were a party of 8 total and I had made a reservation through Open Table, but at 5pm on this particular Sunday it wasn't necessary. We were seated right away and our server was right there for a drink order as soon as we got settled. The service was friendly and prompt. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back. Also, my girls loved the art displayed around and the fact they could draw on the tables."

"Unfortunately my friends were disappointed they had to spend twice the amount of money for the food they purchased. I felt the same but had a good time and you can't put s price on a good time. Dint know if I'll ever come back for more than an appetizer and a drink."
