"Whenever we're on the Big island we go to Pahu i'a and this last visit, March 2012 was the best yet....exquisite and delectable food, outstanding service and picturesque setting. We were a table of 6, shared several appetizers (tuna poke is a must) and all had fish for entrees. Not a single wrong note. Just as we were about to order our desserts, rain and wind picked up and started to get perilously close to our table. The waitstaff immediately ushered us into the lounge area, which was further back under the roof but still afforded a great spot to watch the thunderstorm. We ended with souffles, mousse and after dinner drinks.....were ready to go back the next night!"

"VerY good. The hapu (Hawaiian sea bass) was the best fish I have ever had. It was also the most expensive dinner for two we haw a had since being married, which is about 5 days now."

"This place was top notch all the way. Great service and food was excellent. We sat out on the patio overlooking the ocean and watched the sunset while we ate dinner. After the sun went down, they lit tiki torches and had lights shining out on the ocean so you could still see the waves crashing on the sand. One of the better dinners I can recall having when taking everything into consideration. Definitely on the pricy side."
