Great Spot in SLCIt was a great choice. My assistant choose this restaurant and we were very satisfied with her choice.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent dinner! We haveExcellent dinner! We have never had a disappointing meal here.....5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFresh, Gently Seasoned DishesWe think that this restaurant is quite good. The ambiance is somewhat rustic with candlelight for dinner hours. Our chilled rhubarb soup was refreshing and interesting. Our lamb and pork were cooked precisely to order with a lovely wine pairing. We ended the meal with delicious ginger cheesecake and pressed coffee. Destiny, our waitress, was attentive with excellent communication skills. Bravo!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious and authentic! So wonderful! Great customer service and their food is just exquisite. I had the gnocchi and it was like comfort food to me. My father had the soup of the day and it tasted so fresh, not full of sodium. Their tea selection was impressive as well! Just to top it off Pago is a local business and purchases their food from local farms, etc. So worth the time!!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat superlatives are left?!!This is my favorite restaurant. The quality is fabulous and while they don't have two dozen entree choices, every one of them we've had was memorable. Wine list is another plus with the 3 and 5 oz pours available for almost everything. Top all this off with excellent service and access to reservations through Open Table. Pago is a great little neighborhood restaurant that can hold it's own against any in the valley.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMNeat little place. Not theNeat little place. Not the most extensive menu but very tasty and great vibe4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMAs good as it gets! CraftsmenAs good as it gets! Craftsmen (and women) at their best.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFresh, Flavorful Food & a homelessThe kale salad and ravioli appetizers were delicious - I didn't want the starters to end, and will order them again. Loved the pork tenderloin and side of succotash (fava beans and rock shrimp in coconut sauce), less impressed with the lamb ... though the side (artichoke heart and vegetables) was flavorful and satisfying. Had the bread pudding dessert - very sweet (ice-cream and caramel), perhaps too sweet for us. Next time we'll try the flour-less chocolate cake. One drawback: a homeless man came in the restaurant and approached us for money. I was a bit shocked that the service staff just watched and did nothing to kindly intervene and escort the man from our table even after making eye contact with them. Knowledgeable server.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome Food. Especially theAwesome Food. Especially the Salted Caramel Bread Pudding4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Burger and AmbianceHands down one of the best burgers in town. Really like the vibe of this restaurant. This place is great for 2-4 people and great for brunch or dinner.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMPago, as usual, was outstandingPago, as usual, was outstanding -- one of our favorite restaurants in Salt Lake. Our server, Jeff, was attentive and friendly, and the sommelier, Evan, was knowledgeable and professional. Both were very fun to talk with, and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening's service and excellent food. If you haven't been to Pago, you're missing out on a great meal and incredible experience!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBest burger in town, and theBest burger in town, and the Croque Monsieur is crazy good!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe wine selection and theThe wine selection and the open discussion about the origin and personal connection the owner has with the grower was quite interesting and the result was an exquisite bottle of red. The sides were wonderful and the use of locally grown products did add a fresh quality to our dinning experience.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place is always great! This place is always great! I have been a handful of times and I am yet to have anything less than outstanding. I would eat there all the time if I could. We had the beet salad, bacon wrapped pork tenderloin and duck breast. Delicious! The staff was extremely friendly, not annoying, knowledgeable about all of the menu and wine list as well. They are wonderful at Pago!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went based on review inWe went based on review in Salt Lake City magazine that said they used local artisans & suppliers, and were not disappointed. It was a great place to catch up with friends in a quiet atmosphere. Food was creative, well-prepared, and carnivore & vegetarian friendly. Waiter was well-versed on the food, & friendly, but not intrusive. Although the meals were priced okay, the wines by the bottle were expensive; we preferred to order by the glass.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA little piece of heaven!Fresh and delicious! Love a restaurant that values ingredients to create a whole piece that is tasteful down to the last bite!! Wonderful service, knowledgeable about menu and eager to serve. We enjoyed the ambience, small and quaint!!! We will be back!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFood Great; Seating not so Great.Food as always outstanding.. however sitting at a small by the door definitely was not what we bargained for. We have been celebrating our anniversary for the last three years at Pago, and this year we unfortunately were seated by the door at a 2 person table, on a weekday night. This experience was such a let down from our prior experiences when we were seated in their adjacent dining area. I would encourage you to make sure you have the dining area seating, not the front kitchen area seating, when you make reservations for two, especially if it is special occasion.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMMy second time to Pago. FoodMy second time to Pago. Food was even better this time around. Would not hesitate to return.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWow'd in SLCWe didn't expect much from the dining scene in Salt Lake City, but wow - were we wrong! This place was amazing. Friendly staff greeted us at the door. The ample wine list had great variety in style, region, and price (although mostly on the higher end of the price spectrum). Our server, after providing some assistance in this area then proceeded to bring over the sommelier without even being asked to do so - and he, a former assistant wine maker at Quivira, brought over 2 bottles that were similar to our initial choice and allowed us to refine our choice even more. Perfect. The food (Trout and Lamb, and a side of "Squash Hash") was excellent - inventive and perfectly prepared. Nice sized portions, too. We'll be back.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly recommended!Great food, service, & atmosphere! Waiter was professional and fun. Love the varietal menu.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMReservation was honored withoutReservation was honored without wait, seating was intimate and comfortable, and service staff were very helpful with things like suggesting wine pairings with different dishes.
The entrees were wonderful, the wine accented them well, and the ambiance added to the experience.
All around, a fantastic dining experience I would highly recommend.2/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
