We had been wanting to try Pago for a while and it was worth the wait! Our 3 course meal was very memorable and fantastic. We started with the Cheese Plate, I had the Duck, girlfriend the lamb, and finished with a chocolate pie and banana cakes. We enjoyed all the food, although we did feel the banana cake was just ok. Our server Jeff was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and professional and offered us to try a bit of wine before getting a glass. It was refreshing to have a caring server who knows what he's doing. All together, we would definitely come back to Pago.

My boyfriend and I celebrated an anniversary here this weekend. Both of us had never been before, and I was surprising him with a fun overnight stay downtown Salt Lake City. Pago was very easy to find (9th and 9th is a popular Salt Lake location). I was a little surprised by the size of the resturant (fairly small), which led to overcrowded tables. This made it a little hard for the intimate, romantic night out I was after, but the place still won us over. Our servers were delightful and very attentive. The waitress was extremely knowledgable and gave us pointers on nice plates to order on our first visit. Michael and I decided on the Steamers (clams in a rich, Alfredo sauce, I'm assuming) as our starter, a glass of their Pinot Grigio...

Pago was a good time, once we got there. Don't try getting a table for weekend brunch without a reservation (our first time there we were told there was a 2 hour wait, the second time we made a reservation and were seated immediately). Remember that in Utah you can't get alcohol before 11:30am, so forget about getting a mimosa if you arrive at 11am when they open. Locally sourced foods a plus. The eggs benedict and trout were great, potatoes could have been a bit crispier and better seasoned. The water/beverage guy seemed to hover, but on the plus side, my water glass was never empty. We'll be back for sure.

Great food. I originally made reservations through open table for the night before but they called to let me know that the reservation had assigned us a table on the patio. (It snowed that day0 They were able to accommodate us the next night. Food was spectacular although my spouse felt portions were small. However I thought they were perfect as we had room for 1 dessert each. Jeff our waiter was excellent and we all had a great time.

We enjoyed our dinner at Pago. I ordered the gnocchi, which was delicious. The bottle of wine we ordered was also amazing! They have a small wine list, but our waiter made a great recommendation. In general the food was great, but the portions were very small! Definitely a meal where you have plenty of room for dessert at the end. The waiter forgot to bring us the coffee we ordered with our dessert, but he realized it at the last minute, deducted it from our check, and also gave us a small credit. Overall I was happy with the experience - just know that you should go elsewhere if you're really hungry!

Pago is a go to for that romantic, not-over-the-top, just-need-a-great-place-to-connect sorta night. I took my beautiful wife to Pago for our anniversary the other night. It was a perfect evening of food, wine, ambiance and service. Our waiter was "elegant" with his demeanor and it went over quite well with everything else that evening. I sometimes felt like he was a "tour guide" through some amazing dishes... We shared everything, from the starter dish of delicious yellowtail and simple but strikingly tasty salad, to the main entrees of pan-seared gnocchi and a lamb I just might be willing to kill for :) We paired the meal with a wine we brought from home (Brewer-Clifton Pinot from Santa Rita Hills). The night was perfect!

Very noise otherwise great food. Need to expand a little. Lots of people waiting inside small area for a table Very distracting and it made it feel like they were on top of you. I love the freshness of the food.
