Padri RestaurantSince we were introduced toSince we were introduced to Padri last year, it has become one of our favorite restaurants. This was our first time dining there mid-week (Tuesday). We had only been there on Friday or Saturday when it was booked to capacity; so, it was a shock to see it only 1/3 full. Actually, that was nice, in that the four of us could talk without raising our voices. As always, the food was excellent and the lighting and seating were relaxing. This time we opted for a lighter dinner -- a bowl of soup (we had two different soups; both were delicious) and then a selection of meats, cheeses and accompaniments. It was wonderful -- the highest quality antipasto I have seen anywhere. When my girlfriends and I arrived (we had a reservation), I believe the woman that was at the front, she is either the manager or the owners wife, barely acknowledged our party. We are all in our 30's so it wasn't like we were a group of really young girls that just showed up.
Once we were seated, the service was OK. But then as the evening went on, it started slipping. We had empty plates on our tables for about 20 min, our water was not filled up once and they left us sitting there for a long time with nothing on our tables. No dessert menu, bill, extra drink order, nothing.
