Food was perfect, flavourful and memerable. At our 2nd time, we were hoping for a similar experience, especially with the food. I ordered the same thing, truffle meatballs for an appi, and the pork chop for the main. The meatballs this time were awful, which is so too bad, as the first time, they were great. They were hard, dry and burnt. I sent them back. My main was good, but the chop wasn't seasoned, so it couldn't stand on its own. This pailed in comparison to the first time I ate it, which was flavourfully balanced. My husband's dinner was good and out desserts to follow were yummy. When I made the reservation I received a call to be sure we would not stay beyond 1:45 hrs. I confirmed that was no problem and let the hostess know we were celebrating a birthday. When we arrived the hostess was on the telephone and I received the pointer finger 1 moment jester. We waited several minutes as she continued taking calls rather than seating us. When we were seated we again waited several minutes to be greeted by a server and offered water. The server was very friendly and attentive to the table over from us, apparently my wallet did not look as fat as theirs. We had the sea bass dinner and scallops and shrimp dinner. Both were amazing! Good portion sizes for a nice restaurant. It's fairly pricy so for most budgets this is a special occasion restaurant, however it was totally worth it. The service was fantastic - prompt and there when you needed but not overly chatty either. The menu can accommodate both adventurous and 'tried and true' tastes. The Herbed Goat Cheese Bruschetta was really great! Both the Candy Cane Beet salad and the roasted red pepper soup were very also top notch. Our entrees were amazing- the plating appearance was great and they had an amazing and surprising combination of flavors. We shared the bruchetta to start and it was delicious. I had the beef tenderloin and I was completely blown away, it was pertty far up on the list of the best things I've ever eaten. My boyfriend had the chilean seabass, which was fairly good but he was lees impressed with it than I was with my meal. By the end we were far too full for dessert. I ordered the pizza which was alright but with all the other choices I would skip the pizza next time. The creme brulee was the best I had ever tasted. This most recent trip and for the very first time one of my guests had to return the halibut, twice and it never did meet satisfaction. It was just too dry. We allowed lots of time to chat and eat and it was just right. The food was delicious, we were going to have dinner but got carried away with wine & appetizers, so we got a bit too full to try one of the fabulous looking entrees.
