A word from Packard's New American Kitchen
Packard’s New American Kitchen is steeped in the heritage of Oklahoma City’s historic Packard Building. Through the build out process of the restaurant we were able to restore several elements of the original Packard dealership that really bring the history of the space to life. Be sure to check out the craftsmanship uncovered in the tile that originally served as the show room floor.

Our menu is a modern take on classic American favorites using locally sourced ingredients and features house-made breads & pastas.

This restaurant has not only delicious food, but wonderful servers, a beautiful rooftop, and a great vibe. My wife and I have made this our new date night spot. Every time we go, they have a new appetizer and entree special that are wonderful. Cannot say enough great things about Packard's!

Enjoyed the food and the 'fresh' approach. our server was most excellent and attentive, though our early dining time and the resultant lack of crowding likely helped. Overall good experience.

Decided to try Packards upon rec from a young friend. Only reservation was 8:30 so we went early to have drinks on rooftop. Rooftop had fun atmosphere but limited appetizers. Our dip was frothy and we later noticed a date 5 days previous. Yuk! Downstairs had nice, hip atmosphere but seating was somewhat limited. I was told we had a window table but we were seated in a small booth barely big enough for 6. We requested a move and they moved us to a high table by window. All chairs in restaurant were metal - not too comfy. Food was mediocre- my pasta was very bland, lasagna was great and steak and redfish were pretty good. So, if you're just looking for a fun, hip place to hang out with the younger crowds for the night this is your place:)

The campechana was nothing more than chips and salsa. Lots of chips with a ramekin salsa. $13 The spinach salad was very small and fulll of stems for $10. Nothing more than a plain side salad with very little Quinoa, Strawberrys, grapes, etc. A puney salad full of stems for $10. On the grilled salmon white rice was requested instead of the white beans. The rice was mixed with the Kale making the total rice kale protion about 1/2 cup. Each piece of Kale included a big stem. The Eggplant Caponata amounted to 1/4 cup. The Salmon was over grilled with deep black grill marks. A beautiful piece of fish burned. :( We will not be returning to Packards.

We went to Packard's last fall. That night there was a limited menu (due to a gas line disruption) so that's not a fair test. This try the menu was much better but we were still not impressed with the service. Our waitress was fine, it was more the timing of the dishes. Our appetizer came well before our drinks. We were almost done with it when our drinks finally arrived. The salad arrived on the heels of the appetizer and entrees too soon after that. When you pay $100 for two I have an expectation that timing courses is included in the price. Food was good. My wife loved her burger. Salad was a touch dry. Desert sundae wasn't that great. Loved the building tough, which is why we went back. Maybe we will try again but OKC has lots of places.

Asked for steak prepared "Pittsburg style". This is cooked with butter on outside, very hot pan, and rare inside. Server said yes it could be done. Was served medium inside. For a $30 steak I returned it. New steak came out. Looked like it was thrown on grill then on plate within a minute. Very little care was taken in preparation. It was nice that they brought back the sides to be eaten while the rest of the table had their food. Everything else was very nice.

I can't get enough of Packard's. It combines the best of all that OKC has to offer; amazing mimosa brunch on the weekends with a great variety of spreads, great lunch and dinner choices. For a fun night out in the town there's their rooftop with one of the best views of Oklahoma City.

We recently ate dinner at Packards with a group of 8. There was water dripping from the ceiling due to an air conditioning problem. We asked several times to move since the water was dripping into our food and drinks! After talking to a manager, they still would not move us. We should have left but we didn't. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service

Third time still not a charm, host and service always strange seem disorganized and spacey. Great thought out menu and food, little week on portion to value. Seems pricy for local organic vibe they are trying to sell. Love the infusion of Cajun creaol hope this comes out more in new dishes. All though I wouldn't pay $28 for Red fish

My husband and I went to Packard's this weekend, had a 930 reservation, and it was packed! Quite noisy and the service was slow (probably because the restaurant was very busy). However, our smoked salmon appetizer was amazing. My filet was very good. And the wine selection and our sides were very good. My husband's ribeye was mediocre. The atmosphere is very neat. Overall we had a grear experience and will be back!

Waitress was nice enough but the food was poor. Between the four of us we had BBQ chicken sandwich, fettuccini, boar and ribeye. Bland food and extremely overpriced. All four entrees lacked flavor. Cold fries and onion rings and ribeye had virtually no flavor. There are much better choices that are all in the same area.

We were a party of 11 at lunch. Our group usually consists of some VERY picky ladies, but not time! No one complained about the food. Everyone was very pleased. The in-house 'ketchup' was delicious and the ingredients were so fresh. I love to cook at home with local ingredients and their food tasted like something I would have cooked (if I actually knew what I was doing!). All in all, we were pleased and everyone was looking forward to coming back another time.

We used to really enjoy eating here. We ate here for Sunday brunch almost weekly from March-June. The sourdough pancakes used to be spectacular with a nice crispy edge. Now they taste like regular pancakes. Eggs are nearly always over-cooked. Berry crusted French toast was blackened this past Sunday. Salad was good, but tiny!! Service has been slow and takes forever to get our check. I don't think we will give this place another chance. We've had enough.

Reservation worked good. Service was sporadic and the waiter did not get the orders clear. Had a drink order that never showed up. After an hour and needing to make It to a play (that I told the waiter about 20 min earlier), had to flag the manager. She was very professional and went in the kitchen and SHE brought our food out not our waiter. She also brought my check as I requested and had kindly reduced the bill drastically. We had to Woolf our food in 5 min as we had to get tot the play. We missed the first few minutes if introduction. Didn't have time to enjoy food but it was probably better had we had time to enjoy.

Tried Packards for the first time. Great table, great service, wonderful food. My partner had salmon, which had to go back - it was a bit undercooked. I had ribeye which was really good, and the sides on both plates were imaginative, well prepared, and delicious. Desserts were spectacular: the Peach Skillet Cobbler and the Cracked Caramel Sundae. Wines were good. Waiter was knowledgeable and informative; other staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a really good dining experience. Will definitely return.

We were greeted by a friendly hostess and our group of 8 were shown to our table. It was downhill from there. Our server was very soft spoken in a noisy environment and we didn't see much of him. We were waiting for our entire party to arrive to order our drinks. Even after everyone was seated it took awhile for our drink order to be taken, half of the table was ignored. The food was worth the trip. I would like to see some additional training for servers. We won't be back to see if the training happens. There are too many other restaurants that want to take care of their patrons.

We LOVE Packard's! The food is imaginative and amazingly delicious! The staff is friendly and the ambiance is great. If you like coffee, especially iced coffee, you owe it to yourself to try the cold brewed coffee (I like the sweet and creamy, though it's not overly sweet). My fried chicken biscuit blew my mind! My husband had the duck confit hash which was just amazing, and my son had the steak and eggs which was also great. Oh, and who doesn't love $2 mimosas? Seriously, try it. You'll be glad you did. :)

Sometimes Packard's can be a bit noisy for me but today at brunch it was perfect. We sat at a table on the far east side next to the window. It was a beautiful Sunday morning with the light streaming in. Our waitress was very attentive and even apologized for a short delay that we hadn't noticed. The food is fun (the way it's described), tasty and plentiful. Packard's is one of those restaurants that makes me feel like I'm not in Oklahoma. It's hip, it's cool and we'll be back again and again.

I have to say that Packard's was an absolute delight! We went there on a whim as an old friend posted something on Facebook so we really didn't have any expectations. WOW!! That's all I can say! The pork chop I had as well as our appetizer was some of the best food I've eaten in months. I regularly travel and hit as much fine dining as I can put my mouth on, so these statements are not lightly made. My date had about the same reaction to her food as well.....so it wasn't a fluke. Highly recommended.

Not much I can say. It's kind of "new" hipster, trendy, great food. It can get pricey if you drink a lot though. But any restaurant is pricey with a lot of booze. I like that this place changes its menu between the summer and winter. I'm vegetarian and had the red lentil curry. It was spicy as hell and wonderful.

This restaurant is very nice and there are some outstanding food and drink items, but service is significantly slow. The staff appears rather young and possibly inexperienced. Drinks take a very long time, even for a simply glass of wine. Unfortunately they promote craft cocktails and old fashoned drinks, but with only the support of one bartender. After dinner our group migrated to the rooftop only to find they were closing down due to a very distant threat of a storm (possibly heat lightening) that never fully developed in the area.

Packard's has always been one of our favorites in downtown OKC, the burger was amazing, and we loved the crispy fingerling potatoes as a side. We were very disappointed with this visit that they've gotten rid of the fingerling potatoes and (according to our waitress) "simplified the mustard" that was on the burger - translated - now it's just basic yellow mustard. I'll try again and ask for no mustard, or something else so I don't get a dry burger, overall we were disappointed with the small changes in the menu.
