A word from Packard's New American Kitchen
Packard’s New American Kitchen is steeped in the heritage of Oklahoma City’s historic Packard Building. Through the build out process of the restaurant we were able to restore several elements of the original Packard dealership that really bring the history of the space to life. Be sure to check out the craftsmanship uncovered in the tile that originally served as the show room floor.

Our menu is a modern take on classic American favorites using locally sourced ingredients and features house-made breads & pastas.

Diner Reviews
  • "My friends and I came in for a nice dinner before Packard's rooftop party upstairs. We had a wonderful meal! Our server was very attentive and greeted us right away. We started with the campechana - very fresh and tasty. For my meal, I ordered the chimicurri sirloin, and my friend ordered the pea pesto pappardelle. My steak was cooked just the way I asked, and her pasta was so fresh and yummy. Packard's makes their pasta in house so it's very fresh. We had cocktails - the Lemon Lime Thyme, a refreshing, chilled spring cocktail; my friend had the Stemless Pear. Both were very, very good. We had their new banana pudding for dessert - wow. So yummy! We had a great experience, and I'd recommend this restaurant to all of my friends!"

  • "We enjoyed everything about our dining experience at Packard's. We are anxious to try the Brunch. The food was very good, as well as the service."

  • "The staff at Packards could use a little more training. I asked a hostess a question in regards to their "neighborhood night" and I was told to google that or facebook it b/c she had no idea what it was about. Our server was nice but he did seem a little confused about the menu. The staff should be better trained before sending them out to serve guests."

  • "This was my second visit so I brought my wife for her birthday and first visit. First visit was an A, this visit was a D-. We showed up at 8 for our RSVP and were sat right away. The hostess said Happy Birthday to my wife (that was the highlight of the night). At 8pm the waiters first words were listing off what they were out of... no lamb no duck mac one special no bacon manhattan, etc... ITS 8 PM on a SATURDAY! The service was non attentive, no refills on drinks (alcoholic or waters), dropped food and never came back, ribeye was horribly overcooked. We were here to dine for 3-4 hours and drink wine and have a good time, and we left in 1.5 hours very unhappy, and NO ONE seemed to care or even ask. We were ghosts."

  • "Waiter was nice but not very attentive to our needs. I ordered a filet medium rare, and when our food finally came, it was well done and had to be sent back. Finally waiter game back after nearly everyone at our table had finished eating to tell us that the second steak was also too done. Told him to forget it. He then cane back with a steak that was ok, but by that time we were ready to go. That should never happen if you are as good as you proclaim to be. My party has no interest in returning to this Restaurant. I left hungry!!!Also, even though our waiter was nice, service was very slow. If you are going to have grass fed steaks on the menu, the chef needs to learn how to cook them. They cook differently."

  • "Excellent quality of food, innovative techniques and flavors, good variety, and great drink menu. Staff was knowledgeable and responsive, and the restaurant has a welcome hipster/Indie feel amongst the stuffy steakhouses of OKC (but they still serve excellent steak as well)."

  • "This was the 5th time that I made reservations at Packard. The first four times, I was thoroughly pleased. This time, was a work lunch. Unfortunately, six of the eight individuals didn't leave happy. In defense of the restaurant, half of the group asked for their burgers well done. Not very bright on their part. However, one other issue was that the food took over 45 minutes to arrive. Packard is still at 80% in my book. I'll give them another shot."

  • "It was a different experience. The restaurant's noise level at lunch time made it difficult to have conversation. The food is excellent. The service was almost a lil over the top. We were interrupted 5 times total. I would probably continue eating the food from there but mainly on a takeout basis."

  • "Food was outstanding. Grassfed beef on the menu a big plus!"

  • "Great spot for a nice meal with friends or a date! Great drink selection, and the menu is a lot better. One complaint, the waiter was a little too eager to get us out the door. Also had to send my steak back b/c it was way undercooked. BUT overall it was great!"

  • "It was our first time dining at Packard's. The restaurant atmosphere and 5 course dinner were fantastic! We had a wonderful, romantic evening!"

  • "This was our first time to Packards and it exceeded our expectations. From the food, drinks and our waiter, everything was amazing! Cool vibe, can't wait to go again! P.s. Duck Mac is to die for!!"

  • "The ambiance is nice and the service is great but the food lacks in flavor. We tried the rack of lamb which looked great and then disappointed us. The pear poached in wine was awful, the pear was still hard and the goat cheese disintegrated into the wine causing this very unappetizing pink mixture. We did not think the meal justified the price."

  • "We made reservations on Open Table for four, but later called the restaurant to change it to six. The staff person we spoke with was very willing to help us make this work. The food was great and the service was even better. We sat in the bar area in a six-person booth that was very comfortable. One of the bartenders was our waiter and not only did he do a great job, but he provided us with wonderful drinks. What we like most about this restaurant is the rooftop bar. It is beautiful and has a great view of downtown. We hope that more food options will be provided on the rooftop this spring, summer, and fall."

  • "It was my first time to eat at Packards when we went. We took some friends who had just moved here. The Duck Mac is great. I'd suggest it. The menu is a new American style. I thought it was refreshing. I had the grass fed Filt also, it was good. Not the best in OKC but good. The 8oz seemed a bit small but that's about the only issue. This is a great spot for weekends and dates I'd say."

  • "They called me the morning of to confirm my 6:30 reservation. I mentioned that we had theatre tickets and that the time should allow us to be out by 8. She said she would note it. On arrival, we were sat immediately and our server mentioned our needing to be out my 7:45 or so and that he would do his best to make that happen. The only flaw in an otherwise outstanding dining experience is that my steak was slightly undercooked (ordered medium well, cooked medium), but not to the point of needing to be sent back. Other than that, the food was terrific! With our appetizer and entrees, we we able to get out in plenty of time. Our waiter was attentive, but not obnoxious, so we left him a top of over 20%. We will return and recommend to others."

  • "was a beautiful setting as we entered we were greeted by the host with a rose for my wife, seated right away since we had a reservation. Our server was with us fast and took drink order while showing the menu and what the special was for the night. Once we order the food was with us fast and was set up as a 5 course meal, over all the food was great and the service was perfect for the setting. would recommend to anyone..."

  • "Met friends to celebrate Valentines the day after V Day and had a great time. Food was good, (I had the cod which was fairly mild) my wife had scallops and our friends had salmon and chicken. Best treat was the Carmel sundae dessert: very well presented and delicious. Very cool place."

  • "Our dinner here was wonderful! We arrived here for our reservation, but we're seated promptly and at one of their best tables by the corner windows. The service was prompt, and the staff were very friendly and courteous. The food was simple, but elegantly presented and very delicious. From our appetizer through dessert, everything was great. We will definitely return! Remember to try the Cracked Caramel Sundae. :)"

  • "Last minute Valentine's dinner, and what a great decision! 5 course meal- outstanding service and lively atmosphere. We'll definitely return to see what else they can impress us with. We would like to see a more comprehensive wine list, but we were not disappointed with our choices."

  • "I dined at Packard's for the first time and was very impressed. It was a chilly evening and we were seated near the front door. We were hit with a frigid blast of air every time the door opened. We saw some empty tables further away and asked to be reseated. The staff was very gracious in accommodating our request. Amy, one of the managers, even gave us a complimentary dessert which we did not expect. My date and I both had the seafood specials which were excellent. I plan to return to this restaurant again!"

  • "We had an early dinner on a Friday evening. The crowd was sparse. That might account for the low noise level. The food was excellent. This is our new favorite place."

  • "Mixed Results We decided to give Packard's another try this weekend after a terrible dining experience there last year. Service was sketchy, but management was very apologetic and accomodating. My kale and fig salad was outstanding as was my rack of lamb. Perfectly prepared, generous portions even impressed my dining partner who does not usually care at all for lamb. We tried the cod dish on the server's recommendation but it arrived dry. The smoked salmon appetizer was delicious with fried capers: a nice and novel touch to an old classic. Given how well MOST of the meal went, we will be up for another adventure there soon."

  • "Enjoyed a business lunch with 2 fellow colleagues at this trendy downtown restaurant. Food was great; fish tacos were great! Light, tasty and filling, the cabbage topping added crunch to the taco. I also had chicken tortilla soup, it was OK. Not bad -- just OK. One of my lunch companions had the BLT and E (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Egg); it looked yummy and hearty! Enjoyed the atmosphere although it was a bit noise for a working lunch. I look forward to returning in the summer time and trying out the roof top outdoor area."

  • "I dined with a group of people twice in the past two weeks. Both times everyone loved their food. I was pleased they had a yummy vegetarian dish. The appetizer of hummus and grilled vegetables had wonderful flavor but I wish the veggies had been a little less well done. Overall it was a great experience."

  • "This is the 4th time here in the last 6 or so weeks. I brought some friends with me and their son. The three of them really enjoyed it. My friend loved the fried lasagna! He literally couldn't stop eating. His wife had the salmon and said it was the best she's ever had."

  • "We will not return. The food and service from waitress were good but we had made a reservation well in advance and we were 6 crammed into a booth which was a generous 4 but a very crowed six especially since it was very cold and my friend had a full length fur she did not want on the hanger which was only 4 feet from the floor. We asked to be moved to seating that would have been roomier and no sliding (we are all over 70) and although there was some available our request was not honored. There are plenty of customer friendly restaurants in OKC that serve good food. This was our second visit and we had recommended it to our friends so we were embarrassed as well. You are welcome to share these comments with the restaurant."

  • "I just visited Sunday for brunch. It was a fantastic experience and I will be going back this weekend for brunch. The Bloody Mary's are out of this world and so was the Croque Madame. The service was great I wish I could remember the servers name so I can give him all the credit he deserves. Thank you for creating such a wonderful restaurant."

  • "Held our table for us as we had gotten stuck in traffic. Everything is a la carte. They don't even give you a piece of bread while you are waiting for your meal. Sea bass special was delicious but came with just one side."
