A word from Packard's New American Kitchen
Packard’s New American Kitchen is steeped in the heritage of Oklahoma City’s historic Packard Building. Through the build out process of the restaurant we were able to restore several elements of the original Packard dealership that really bring the history of the space to life. Be sure to check out the craftsmanship uncovered in the tile that originally served as the show room floor.

Our menu is a modern take on classic American favorites using locally sourced ingredients and features house-made breads & pastas.

I've been to Packard's several times to dine on the roof or late night drinks and I have always loved the food and atmosphere. I've always had exceptional service as well. This occasion the service was sub-par, which was unfortunate. We had a group for brunch and were expecting to keep the drinks coming . It was a task just to get the waiter to our table to order anything from food to drinks. All in all I would recommend Packard's, but this was a disappointing occasion on the service.

We took a friend to Packard's for her birthday. The waiter was just like we like--there when we needed him and responsive but not interrupting our conversation inappropriately and intrusively. The food was very good. A nice evening and we would go back.

As always, Packard's never fails to impress on all fronts. I can always trust our server to recommend something interesting to try, and can always count on the kitchen to have whipped up something special and new every time we visit. The new Fall menu is spectacular – you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't get the fried Brussels sprouts!

My husband and I are not "fancy" people but we really wanted to try Packard's because of all the good reviews from friends. We hit up Packard's at 7pm on a Thursday and it was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't TOO fancy but still offered unique foods and excellent service. We had the steak and the duck. Next time I want to try the pork chops, because I love grits! The weather was great so I wish the patio had been open but other than that...perfect.

We've been wanting to try Packard's for a while, but never had the opportunity. When we couldn't get into Cattleman's because of the crowd, we decided that this was the perfect opportunity. My husband ordered the ribeye steak and I ordered the hamburger. Both were great and cooked just perfect. Service also was excellent and the atmosphere was very comfortable. We'd definitely recommend to anyone considering giving Packard's a chance because it was definitely worth the trip downtown. We'll also be going back ourselves.

This was our second trip to Packards, this time for my partner's birthday. We met a friend there for dinner and everything was great. I love that the menu changes somewhat with the seasons. Between the three of us we had the pork chop, Cornish game hen and Red Curry with chicken and they were all great. Their selection of beers for my partner is great and he branched out into a bourbon that was recommended by our waiter, our friend and I each had a glass of wine, one chardonnay and one rose', both very good. It was a lovely evening, we'll definitely be heading back to Packard's and so should you.

I feel insanely lucky to live so close to Packard's. I have never failed to have a spectacular experience, and am consistently impressed every time my lady and I visit (every other week at this point). I've never had the same entrée twice, so I consider being wowed regularly a considerable feat; one which the Packard's team handles with aplomb. The hosts are warm and considerate without fail. Each staff member we have dined with remembers us and says hello, regardless of whether or not they are serving us that night. The manager always comes by to ensure we are having a great time. Our last server Caleb recommended some drinks I normally wouldn't consider, but he nailed it, of course! As a customer I couldn't feel more valued and welcome.

I went with my girlfriend and her parents on a Sunday brunch. The food was good, the service was sub par. Our server took his time with every aspect of the meal, not in a good way. Drinks were slow, he was slow. Honestly that was the worst part. He was nice but the service wasn't the best. And the divider between tables was covered in dust. No bueno.

Decided to try Packards upon rec from a young friend. Only reservation was 8:30 so we went early to have drinks on rooftop. Rooftop had fun atmosphere but limited appetizers. Our dip was frothy and we later noticed a date 5 days previous. Yuk! Downstairs had nice, hip atmosphere but seating was somewhat limited. I was told we had a window table but we were seated in a small booth barely big enough for 6. We requested a move and they moved us to a high table by window. All chairs in restaurant were metal - not too comfy. Food was mediocre- my pasta was very bland, lasagna was great and steak and redfish were pretty good. So, if you're just looking for a fun, hip place to hang out with the younger crowds for the night this is your place:)

The campechana was nothing more than chips and salsa. Lots of chips with a ramekin salsa. $13 The spinach salad was very small and fulll of stems for $10. Nothing more than a plain side salad with very little Quinoa, Strawberrys, grapes, etc. A puney salad full of stems for $10. On the grilled salmon white rice was requested instead of the white beans. The rice was mixed with the Kale making the total rice kale protion about 1/2 cup. Each piece of Kale included a big stem. The Eggplant Caponata amounted to 1/4 cup. The Salmon was over grilled with deep black grill marks. A beautiful piece of fish burned. :( We will not be returning to Packards.

We went to Packard's last fall. That night there was a limited menu (due to a gas line disruption) so that's not a fair test. This try the menu was much better but we were still not impressed with the service. Our waitress was fine, it was more the timing of the dishes. Our appetizer came well before our drinks. We were almost done with it when our drinks finally arrived. The salad arrived on the heels of the appetizer and entrees too soon after that. When you pay $100 for two I have an expectation that timing courses is included in the price. Food was good. My wife loved her burger. Salad was a touch dry. Desert sundae wasn't that great. Loved the building tough, which is why we went back. Maybe we will try again but OKC has lots of places.

Asked for steak prepared "Pittsburg style". This is cooked with butter on outside, very hot pan, and rare inside. Server said yes it could be done. Was served medium inside. For a $30 steak I returned it. New steak came out. Looked like it was thrown on grill then on plate within a minute. Very little care was taken in preparation. It was nice that they brought back the sides to be eaten while the rest of the table had their food. Everything else was very nice.

We recently ate dinner at Packards with a group of 8. There was water dripping from the ceiling due to an air conditioning problem. Third time still not a charm, host and service always strange seem disorganized and spacey. Great thought out menu and food, little week on portion to value. Seems pricy for local organic vibe they are trying to sell. Love the infusion of Cajun creaol hope this comes out more in new dishes. All though I wouldn't pay $28 for Red fish

My husband and I went to Packard's this weekend, had a 930 reservation, and it was packed! Quite noisy and the service was slow (probably because the restaurant was very busy). However, our smoked salmon appetizer was amazing. My filet was very good. And the wine selection and our sides were very good. My husband's ribeye was mediocre. The atmosphere is very neat. Overall we had a grear experience and will be back!

Waitress was nice enough but the food was poor. Between the four of us we had BBQ chicken sandwich, fettuccini, boar and ribeye. Bland food and extremely overpriced. All four entrees lacked flavor. Cold fries and onion rings and ribeye had virtually no flavor. There are much better choices that are all in the same area.
