Every table has wondful views of the Pacific coast of Big Sur. the food was excellent and was artistically placed on the plates. The receptionist helped us find a table ith the best view. The service was fine although the waiter was somewhat intrusive. It is woefully overpriced, and while the food is very good, it does not warrant such prices. However, the view is incredible, and the service is very good. One qualm is that I made a reservation quite in advance, and requested a table by the window, and that request was not honored. I really didn't need a reservation, considering there were plenty of tables available - just not one of the ones that would have made my 70-year old mother's birthday celebration what it should have been. Other than that minor issue, the evening was lovely, the staff was experienced and friendly, and the ambiance cannot be captured in words - it is spectacular.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWow. I'm sure it is stunning at sunset (we were there on a cloudy evening) but we enjoyed watching a storm come and go as well as bats later in the night.
The food is very good but not great.
