  • "I found the restaurant was off-point in a couple areas you should never struggle at this price point. First, took 3 attempts to cook our steak as ordered. Second, they re-plated a side dish when protein was brought back out. Third, brought out wine with a collection of sediment in the bottom of the glass. Lastly, (and this is a minor thing) we ordered a chopped wedge salad to split, and the wait staff dropped the bowl off on the side of the table and left. Most fine dining restaurants we've encountered, will split and plate at the table for the customer (may be a communication issue between the front and back of the restaurant.)"

  • "Very pleasant and attentive service staff served an excellent carpaccio, and linguini with clams. Wine list is somewhat limited, and a Domaine Drouhin 2011 pinot was not available, while a 2012 was only fair. The EnRoute Pinot Noir from Far Niente 2012 was exceptional. Desserts were also very good. Will return."

  • "We absolutely adored our server and had great service at the table however two people were seated before us because the hostess mistook our table for two for theirs. There was no mention or apology for this as we were seated. The hospitality area is a bit small if you are going to have a wait just to consider how to make the area a little bit more welcoming. The valet service was really nice as we had another event that same evening. It is prudent of the hostesses to ask if you would prefer a seat away from bar. Being parallel, right next to the bar, we could smell the peoples food and hear their conversation that was somewhat of a distraction for our meal. Albacore was great,dessert with smell of curly fries not as appetizing."

  • "Seattle to Newberg trip. Tacoma , our second stop. Dinner at this restaurant was worth it. Great selections of small plates and entrees. Fresh seafood and food was prepared with right temperatures. Oysters from Washington was mouth watering , petite lobster was cooked correctly. Salads were also fresh. Overall, it is worth dining here."

  • "Pacific Grill was once one of my fav's. This past Friday night was a disappointment. The food was not up to par. There was a sense of over done fussiness that resulted in unpleasantness. The "sweet potato salad" was a gloppy mess and much too sweet. The shrimp cocktail was pedestrian and would have been better with a simpler "cocktail sauce". It is a simple dish which should stick to the basics. Maybe my palette is looking for fresher and simpler combinations. Like roasted cauliflower with herbs or pan seared carrots with spices/herbs."

  • "It was my husband and I's first time to Pacific grill and i have to say that we were impressed. I got off work late that night so we were about a half hour late to our reservation and they were still able to take us. The service was superb, we had the most friendly and helpful (but not over the top) waiter. The happy hour menu is a great deal with many half priced options. The margarita i had was good (I am VERY picky about them), we also ordered the onion rings which were incredible... more like a deep fried onion donut although they came with a strange jam like sauce. They also had a good amount of vegan options on the menu which i really appreciated. It would be really awesome if they could do a vegan burger!"

  • "The Pacific Grill is a restaurant, we had wanted to visit for weeks. I initially tried for reservations for Valentines day and nothing was available. The sea food selection was quite nice. I had an Albacore steak over rice. The flavor was wonderful and the presentation well done. My wife had a mac and cheese dish. Once again the flavor was very good. The waiter was quite attentive without over doing it and the valet parking service was really appreciated. We will definitely be back."

Portion size of entree was a bit lacking. Broccoli was over cooked and flavorless! Waitress was helpful and attentive. Overall a good dinner experience."

The have a good selection of appetizers and definitely recommend the potatoes with Romesco sauce when they carry it. Great food and service!!!"

  • "Our plan was to try P.G. during their infamous happy hour on a Friday night. This was our first visit and we went with moderate expectations since a few friends and colleagues spoke highly of P.G. during happy hour (50% off all food minus entrees / 11am - 11pm). My wife and I could not decide on food because everything sounded amazing! March is oyster month and they offered a good selection so we started there with a half dozen of raw oysters. They were plump, tasty and extremely fresh, so far so good. At this point we were left wanting more. Next round, Fish street tacos. Two friendly patrons recommended different items fried risotto, BBQ drums, duck sausage sliders, salad wedge with bacon. You can't go wrong with ANYTHING on this menu!"

  • "Great food and a beautiful ambiance right down on historic Pacific Avenue . The Pacific Grill did not disappoint . When it came to their culinary masterpieces, my favorite thus far was the filet minion with scalloped sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli. I also had the single best wedge salad I have EVER had here at the Pac. Grill. The things they do with bacon are simply to die for. My husband had the duck and loved it as well. For desert we had their bread pudding which takes you back to the good old days. It was simply delicious! We also tried the brownie sundae which was also amazing! We haven't had a bad entree since we started eating here and would recommend it to everyone . Bon appetite!!"

  • "Maybe my expectations were too high. I thought that Pacific Grill was merely okay. My meal (cassoulet) was good, but my husband's Ceasar Salad was soggy and bland. He liked the mushroom risotto that he ordered, but I tasted it and thought the texture was gluey. There is no sound barrier between the bar and the rest of the restaurant, so the noise level was a little too high for intimate dinner table conversation. The bright shining star was the service. The restaurant is amply staffed and our servers were polished and attentive."

  • "I really enjoyed the restaurant vibe walking into this place. Better than that was the taste and quality of the food. I dined with two other guests. Once guest ordered the claims and beet salad and said it was just great. My other guest ordered the pork chop and chopped wedge salad, he claimed it was one of the best he had had. I ordered the scallops and chopped wedge salad. The salad bursts with flavor with the blue cheese dressing and bits of thick bacon. The scallops were seared to perfection with a light curry sauce that complemented the delicate flavors of the scallops. We enjoyed a local bottle of wine (feather) was just perfect. Great place, prepare to pay for parking and deal with the high noise level. Overall a great place!"

Everything was well executed--we had appetizers, salad, smoked sweet potatoes and entrees (one from the fresh sheet and one from the regular menu). Sean clearly explained the fresh sheet item so there would be no surprise when it arrived. We selected a wine which turned out to be out of stock. He returned with a suggestion of a lower priced wine which was very enjoyable. We felt like he was interested in our experience. Impressed that he knew the name of the winemaker of the bottle we selected. He explained to us how to claim the value of the dinner on our Rewards card which we forgot to bring. We will see you again!"

  • "We planned our dinner 3 weeks in advance and our best friends came with us, we did not know that you had a special Valentines dinner menu, My friend was very upset that she could not order the items that she usually orders at your restaurant, but the people in the bar were able to get these items, It made no sense to us that we were sitting 10 feet away from the bar area and we could watch them eating the food that we wanted to order. We watched as most everyone that was seated after us got up and either left or went in to the bar. I have eaten at Pacific Grill before and the food is always delicious but our Valentines Day was pretty much ruined because my Husband and my best friend were not happy with the meal choices they had."

  • "I've heard good things from some friends and have wanted to try Pacific Grill for some time now. Based on the positive word of mouth I took my fiance here for Valentine's Day dinner. I was a bit disappointed when they presented a limited selection menu for dinner. What was most frustrating was the lack of attention from our waiter and the rest of the staff. I understand that it's a very busy night. Still, it's unacceptable to have our empty plates sit in front of us for >10 minutes. I bought a nice bordeaux that I had them decant, which we ended up pouring ourselves until the very last glass, when it was closing time and most of the restaurant was empty. Maybe it was an off night so we'll give them another chance. They have a lot to prove.."

  • "We went to Pacific Grill for Valentine's Day. We had never been there, but always wanted to. We were a little surprised and disappointed that the advertised dress code was not enforced. It was actually much more casual than we though. The food was excellent, though. And, service great. At the end of the night, the valet parking took FOREVER to bring our car, which was a little disappointing. Overall, very great Valentine's Day dinner."
