  • "Can't get any closer to the beach. Awesome views. Good menu lot to offer. Very big portions. I was impressed and will go back. "

  • "We'd always liked Charlies and the Beach House, but with the latter gone wanted to try something new. We invited friends and had an excellent meal. The place was very lively for a Thursday night, and the noise level was pretty high as we'd been warned."

  • "Great view, very comfortable even though we were outside in the evening, the food was great, especially the Bacon Wrapped Asparagus!"

  • "Our group of five fully enjoyed our lunch. The service, food, and view of the ocean were excellent. We plan to return😎"

  • "loved, loved loved. Went for breakfast and loved it so much, went back the next night for dinner. Atmosphere is great, view even better and the staff could not have been more lovely, welcoming and kind. Food was great."

  • "This was my first time dining at the new PCG location on the beach. I frequented the original location a few times each month for many years. With the relocation they seemed to have changed the formula of what set them apart. We were barely greeted by a pair of non-expressive teenage hostesses, then led to a table with one chair facing the bartender's work space behind the bar. We asked to be reseated. Our server was attentive at first, though became distracted mid-dinner, conversing with other servers and the table next to ours (yes, we were that close) making it feel like we were at a diner and not a nice restaurant. PCG has omitted their complimentary warm artisan bread and rosemary butter. Too bad. Great location. Mediocre experience."

  • "You can't beat the beach front location of PCG and the food and service are excellent too! Try the shrimp dumplings, the sauce is to die for!"

  • "We celebrated our friends Birthday there. The food was outstanding but felt we were pushed to turn over the table. I will definitely recommend the restaurant ."

  • "Right on the beach, with great ourdoor dining areas - on a sunny day - Pacific Coast Grill is a great place to be. Probably wouldn't recommend the fish & chips, but everything else I've tried there has been great. Wait staff is extremely attentive as well. If you're time limited for lunch, suggest parking next door at the beach parking area, as you can end waiting for quite awhile due to offsite valet parking on crowded days."

  • "Spectacular ocean view, and the service was the best ever! Our server Blake was attentive, informative and naturally charming. Oh yes...and the food was very good! The menu is varied, and my wild salmon was perfectly cooked, although for my taste it was perhaps a tad over-embellished with mango. My companions loved their halibut (one of the specials that evening). I will go back and next may try their short ribs."

  • "My wife and I took our kids there (ages 10 and 7), and were very pleased. Very good food, excellent service, great view, good wine list. Very enjoyable evening."

  • "When we can get away for a day, our place of choice is the Pacific Coast Grill. It's a vacation all by itself. I love sitting on the upper deck or downstairs outside where you feel like you are having a classy picnic on the beach. The food is excellent and the drinks are creative and delicious. Service is great, what more could you want?"

  • "I have dined at PCG 3 or 4 times for lunch and dinner. I've never been disappointed. My most recent visit was on a Friday night with an older friend. It was difficult to hear what she said over the loud voices around us, but she LOVED the energy and being so close to the ocean. The crab cakes and Paella were delicious, the service was great, and we were seated right on time. Will definitely return!"

  • "I have never ordered anything from PCG that has not been fantastic. You can sit right on the beach and the view is spectacular. I had a blood orange mimosa that was outstanding along with a wonderful brunch menu with choices like a filet mignon breakfast burrito, to truffle fries, to a surf and turf sushi roll. This is the place to introduce people to coastal living. I highly recommend it!"

  • "This is my favorite restaurant in Southern Cal. I love the sunsets and the food is excellent."

  • "My husband and I drove here for an early dinner from the Inland Empire in Cali. OMG soooo worth the drive. Great food, great service and an amazing view of the beautiful Pacific. I can hardly wait to go back. We had calamari for starters....it had just the right amount of heat. So fresh and delicious. My husband wasn't too impressed with the Caesar salad but I thought it was OK to good. We'll probably skip it on our next visit. We shared sea bass. It was good sitting atop some creamy whipped potatoes but I think texturally it could have been a little crisper. This is the kind of restaurant you want to linger at. If we hadn't had nearly a 2 hr drive back home we would have!"

  • "My daughter chose PCG for her birthday and we had an early reservation to plan to be there for sunset. Sunset magnificent and so was our experience. Adam was our server and from the start with drink suggestions through appetizers and dinner, his knowledge and descriptions made the experience top notch. Our dog was also welcome on outdoor patio! We would definately return."

  • "We love eating here. We always recommend PCG to those coming from out of town, as well as treating friends and family to the wonderful food, view, and overall ambiance."

  • "You really can't go wrong with a trip to PCG either for lunch or dinner. The fabulous sweeping view of the ocean and coast provides a wonderful, relaxing ambiance. The menu is extensive, prices are reasonable, and the service is prompt and professional. We love to take our out of town guests there for a real southern California coastal dining experience, and it is also a place where special events can be celebrated in style. Just wonderful!"

  • "We celebrated my husband's 73rd birthday watching the sunset from the warmth of the dining room. We both enjoyed the Seafood Paella. Our server was able to recommend a delightful Chardonnay to accompany the meal .This was our third visit and have always had a pleasant experience. We will definitely be back in the summer to enjoy the outdoor patio."

  • "Our group of five was very happy with the menu, specials and service...However, even though it was a weeknight, we had a long wait past our reservation time...finished our glasses of wine and still not seated so I would venture to say the booking system needs tweaking. The setting at the ocean's edge is outstanding, but it was too chilly that evening even in the indoor bar area..."

  • "Lobster tacos were very good, but could have used a bit of spice. Bag o Bones - cute and delicious, crab cake appetizer delicious. Service was outstanding! Only complaint is restaurant is very loud and with a party of 5 at a booth, it was difficult to hear everyone."

  • "One of the few places in N. county that's ON the water with a fabulous view. We had a range of appetites and everyone had choices as they have full entrees as well as lots of hot and cold appetizers. I had the lobster/shrimp chowder and a Kobe beef roll. The chowder was yummy and the roll was savory and flavorful without being a lot of food. It will be an expensive dinner. Especially if you go all out with wine, dessert, and coffee. I have to say, the waiter cracked us up a couple times. First, when we sat down, our friends asked for San Pelligrino. He said they had pinot grigio. Uh, hello? Sparkling water? There was also a comment which clearly showed he thought we were tourists and not local. Maybe you could ask, hey you guys live here?"

  • "The new location, right on the sand with view up and down the coast on the second floor balcony, is lovely. The food is just ok, but this is the norm for beach view restaurants, which are always so crowded that the cooking staff must just give up after a while. However, the food is no worse than at Jake's down the road, or 99% of our few beach located restaurants, and the vibe is pleasant, the interior nice, and everything is edible--just not terribly healthy. There isn't anything farm to table about PCG, but the lobster tacos we had were yummy. I wish the calamari was equally good; it is deeply breaded and fried. I wish they would improve this dish, which is such a mainstay up and down the coast, and much better elsewhere."

  • "Had a great birthday dinner for my daughter here. They were attentive to our reservation for 2 vegetarians and birthday occasion and brought the appropriate menus and birthday dessert! We enjoyed the beautiful view and were pleased with food choices and service. The parking was valet so we didn't have to hunt for parking. Food portions were generous and tasty. Our party had the scallops, baby back ribs, tofu dish and veggie quesadillas. The desserts were amazing and very generous, the coconut cheesecake and chocolate cake especially good!"

  • "My husband and I were given a gift card to this restaurant. We were immediately sat by a window seat overlooking the water. It was a beautiful day. The food was amazing!! I had the seafood pasta and it was a large portion. The bread with the garlic butter was excellent. My husband also enjoyed his meal as well. We also had a few of their different signature cocktails and they were tasty! We will be back here again!"

  • "We had an incredible dinner at Pacific Coast Grill this past weekend. We wanted to try so many different things that we decided to just do a few apps and everything was amazing. We ordered the crab cakes, Coconut Shrimp Roll (wow!), Arugula Salad & white truflle fries. The service was great and it was a very fun, vibrant scene with breathtaking views (right on the beach)."

  • "Great view. Outside dining very noisy and chilly for early Spring. Good selection of interesting sounding foods. Had the quinoa veggie burger and got heartburn. $4 for hot tea, Really? No offer to refill hot water. Coffee ordered by one quest and it arrived tepid. If the waitress was not feeling well, then she needs a refresher on customer service. Because of the Million dollar view, would give it one more try. Valet staff terrific. THEY know customer service with a smile."
