I had a special, the four-meat ravioli, and it was the best ravioli I have ever had and one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. My fiancée had the goat cheese ravioli. She said it was good but was not quite as enthusiastic as I was. We shared the caprese appetizer, which was also quite good, as was the bread. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere, at least more casual than we expected. Our server was great. The food is outstanding every time. Because of our Italian heritage, we are especially critical of the preparation and execution of menu items claiming to be Italian. Paciarino matches the flavors of Little Itlay of both Boston and New York. They specialize in homemade pastas, sauces, and simple Italian preparations. This is a place that stands on the merits of perfectly executed food paired with wise wine choices over any trendy fad. The ambiance is quaint, open, and nice. The servers are always nice and knowledgeable. It is the type of restaurant Harding Lee Smith wants to create, but doesn't have the palette to pull off. That works if food is served in a timely manner -- which seems a little hard with your approach to great food. I was embarrassed because it really irked my friend's husband -- and I was the one who chose the place. It kind of put a damper on the evening. We had three courses and felt silly as time ticked by and we knew we were expected to leave.
