PaciarinoFresh PastaPaciarino prepared our meal with fresh ingredients and the food was excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend giving this Portland restaurant a try.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMBeen many times, prices areBeen many times, prices are going up. Food has been better. Bread can use more oil.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMPasta perfectionMy husband and I chose Paciarino for its incredible menu and because it had long been on my list of highly recommended restaurants to check out. It lived up to all I had heard regarding the amazing authentic cuisine - it was what I would imagine Italy has in abundance and that we are sometimes lucky enough to import here. We started with the caprese appetizer - so fresh and just enough for two - followed by the lasagna and the ravioli Milan. Each was melt in your mouth perfection. The service was wonderful - we had the quiet corner table out front which left us slightly removed from the action, but our server was never gone too long. An all around lovely experience, it made our celebration truly memorable.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat food, friendly serviceThis was our second time here. The food was delicious (clean plates all around) and our waitress was excellent. It's not inexpensive, but it's very reasonable for what you get. We'll be back.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother delicious meal at PaciarinoDinner is always a treat at Paciarino. The pasta is some of the best I've ever had anywhere and it is so light and fresh tasting. I had the goat cheese and sage ravioli with a red sauce and it was incredible. It was one of those dishes where every ingredient has its own significant taste but all the tastes meld together to make one want to lick their plate. My husband had lasagna which was also as tasty. The only reason I didn't give everything a five star rating is because I feel that the wine list is limited and I would like to see some dishes with veal, pork or chicken. If you are strictly there for pasta then I think you would have a hard time finding any better anywhere incuding Italy.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome again! One of our fav places in Portland. It is one of our favorite pasta restaurant. The staff is friendly, and the small wine list is reasonable, and goes perfectly with the meals. I would highly recommend this charming restaurant.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMEating in Maine, what it should be!This restaurant is a wonderful tribute to Italian homemade dishes! Table service was excellent, personalized and attentive throughout the meal. The quality of every dish was also excellent, appropriate sized portions, and an excellent matched wine.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, simple foodBasic pastas, specials such as seafood ravioli, and wholesome salads were a delight.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA little bit of Umbria in your lifeI visited Umbria two summers ago and this was very much like those dining experiiences. The kitchen is in view and the experience is high quality food seved on Italian pottry in a someahat sparce setting. Great reasonable wine list, cocsisting of smaller less known vineyards enhanced the meal.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAs visitors to Portland, weAs visitors to Portland, we went to Paciarino on the advice of friends, and were not disappointed. We ate there twice, in fact, because the food and wine were excellent and the informal setting suited our casual mood. At both meals the service was attentive but not intrusive and the servers' advice was perfect.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe arrived on time for ourWe arrived on time for our reservation, but they appeared to be a bit backed up and had to wait for about fifteen to twenty minutes. The hostess offered us glasses of wine on the house. Great food, worth the wait!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMy fiancée and I had a greatMy fiancée and I had a great experience at Paciarino, one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. I had a special, the four-meat ravioli, and it was the best ravioli I have ever had and one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. My fiancée had the goat cheese ravioli. She said it was good but was not quite as enthusiastic as I was. We shared the caprese appetizer, which was also quite good, as was the bread. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere, at least more casual than we expected. Our server was great. We will definitely be back.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMIf you like home made pasta,If you like home made pasta, than this is the place. Excellent ravioli and spaghetti with bolagnase sauce. Good salads and cheese plate.
But, there is only pasta dishes for the main course, so if you are not a pasta lover this is not for you.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMPortlands own taste if Little ItlayThis was our fourth visit to Paciarino. The food is outstanding every time. Because of our Italian heritage, we are especially critical of the preparation and execution of menu items claiming to be Italian. Paciarino matches the flavors of Little Itlay of both Boston and New York. Highly recommended for Italian cuisine the way it should be prepared.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMVery attentive service, allowingVery attentive service, allowing us to linger and enjoy our conversation and meal. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. And the wine list was fantastic, with a long list of choices with reasonable prices, as well as a shorter list of special selections, also priced very nicely. We picked from that list, after getting complementary tastes, and the wines were excellent. Last, but not least, the meal was delicious.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect place for familiesPerfect place for families who enjoy good food, it was delicious. The waitstaff was beyond friendly and knowledgeable. We will go back!4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMMy second visit to PaciarinoMy second visit to Paciarino and was just as pleased with this visit. The food is delicious and very authentic Italian. Specials were original. Great dinner. Felt a little rushed but know that there is a desire to move guests through to allow others to enjoy.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMPaciarino is an unsung heroPaciarino is an unsung hero of a terrific food neighborhood. As accessible to the Old Port as many heralded Portland restaurants but quiet, delicious, and very layed-back.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPasta entrees only -- veryPasta entrees only -- very delicious and authentic. Good wine list with reasonable prices.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMI've now dined at this restaurantI've now dined at this restaurant 3 times and have yet to have a sub-par experience. The salami and pecorino appetizer platter is amazing and any of the specialty ravioli more than fit the bill. Great joint!4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest italian RestaurantThis is the best Italian restaurant I have been to outside of Italy (many visits over the years). The food is perfect: authentic, fresh, prepared with love. The staff really knows what they are doing; they can give you great recommendations. The wine list is wonderful. Reservations, which is recommended, can be done online.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMPaciarino is my favorite ItalianPaciarino is my favorite Italian restaurant in town. I would describe it as upscale casual. They specialize in homemade pastas, sauces, and simple Italian preparations. This is a place that stands on the merits of perfectly executed food paired with wise wine choices over any trendy fad. The ambiance is quaint, open, and nice. The servers are always nice and knowledgeable. It is the type of restaurant Harding Lee Smith wants to create, but doesn't have the palette to pull off. No hype, just quality food.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great. Ambiance wasFood was great. Ambiance was lovely. My only beef was with the note on the table about needing to vacate in 90 minutes. That works if food is served in a timely manner -- which seems a little hard with your approach to great food. I was embarrassed because it really irked my friend's husband -- and I was the one who chose the place. It kind of put a damper on the evening. We had three courses and felt silly as time ticked by and we knew we were expected to leave. I loved the food, but would think twice with that scolding note on the table...I would recommend the food any day -- with a warning to diners about the silly note they may find on their table.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMreally excellent. very simplereally excellent. very simple menu.. very delicious. excellent service. really really good.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistentI have been eating at this restaurant since it opened. The food is consistently good but as they have become much more popular through various promotions in the past year some of the attention to small details has diminished. The cost of success I suppose and that will certainly not prevent me from returning again and again...and again.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I have been thereMy wife and I have been there twice now it it is outstanding great wine selection we tryed the Negroamaro copertino reserva 2005 wow... good as it gets for 30$ thanks3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA consistent gemConsistently good food with great specials, always fabulous service, not too loud - a great local restaurant3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMA Portland FavoriteCan always count for Paciarino for a delicious meal. You can taste the difference in their freshly homemade pastas. Had the special, the pesto ravioli, which was outstanding. And the restaurant itself has the most darling ambiance; perfectly homey but not too cutesy. I've been many times and will be back many times again!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMSix of us had a very niceSix of us had a very nice dinner this past week.
