Ozumo - San FranciscoSupreme Service and TasteCelebrating Mother's day at Ozumo turned out to be fantastic. My wife and I are not only vegetarian but gluten free as well. This seems a paramount challenge at most restaurants but not Ozumo. Not only did the waiter and chef go out of their way to ensure our dining delight but we were made to feel at home. Thank you all at Ozumo for helping cap off a wonderful Mothers day for my wife.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our "go to" sushiThis is our "go to" sushi restaurant with my importand client and partner, and we are never disappointed. This last time we had an assortment of small plates and rolls. Everything was delicious. The only downside to the meal...the price. You definately get what you pay for, though.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Food ExperienceWe had an amazing meal at Ozumo for 2 people that cost $300. It was money well spent because it was not just food, wine, sake and tea, it was an experience.
The experience flowed smoothly and professionally the entire evening and our server helped guide us through the extensive sashimi, sushi and beef menu. She was at our table when we needed her and away when when we didn't need her. She made suggestions and got to know our sashimi palate so that what she brought to the table perfectly matched our desires and was beautifully presented.
This was truly the most delicious and freshest fish I have ever eaten and even the soy sauce used to dip was extraordinary.

I usually eat and drink in the bar and am always impressed with every aspect of the experience. This time, I brought a group of friends and ate in the main dining area. Once again, blown away by both food and service. The server was very knowledgable and helped us pick appetizers and the perfect Sake from a huge selection. Ozumo continues to be my favorite eating and drinking spot no matter where I stay in San Francisco.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my first time toThis was my first time to Ozumo, and I enjoyed my meal. The waiter was very knowledgable and helpful. I told him what I typically liked, and his suggestions were spot on. The fish was very fresh, but it was a bit pricey. It was close to $180 for two of us, one drink each, and I had to order a bowl of rice at the end so I wouldn't leave hungry. Good for special occasion.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food - well done.Amazing food - well done. One of the only good sushi restaurants in SF. Get a seat by the window and you'll have a beautiful view of the bay too! Thank you again for another memorable food night!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOur table overlooked the BayOur table overlooked the Bay Bridge which was beautifully lit with LED lights. The service was excellent. My son speaks Japanese, and he mentioned that the staff mispronounced the Japanese greetings as we came and left. On my own, I never would have known that.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional high end JapaneseOzumo is an exceptional, very hi end Japanese restaurant. The food, as is the case on every visit I have ever made, is outstanding. There is quite a bar scene that you have to snake your way through to get to the more peaceful but still energetic dining room. Service is very polished.2/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMixed feelingsAlthough the food is very good we tried to have the chef's menu but were told they weren't serving it that night which was quite a let down. Their sake kist is the most extensive I have ever seen and tha waiter was very helpuful in heloing me decide which one. Their sushi was outstanding but our very las plate, the unagi (eel) was the worst we have ever had. Don't know what happened here.12/31/2012 12:00:00 AM
