The cuts of the meat were smaller than what I expected. On the menu it stated that the sashimi consisted of 5 pieces of meat. I received 4 fairly small pieces. My wife asked me how much that was and when I told her $22 she just stared at me dumbfounded. It was good but not worth the price. However all of the rolls we ate were good. Full feature bar in the front is available while you wait for your table or just waiting for your party to arrive. The wait staff is friendly, everything you would expect from an upscale restaurant.
The food is, in one word, wow. We ordered the Yamabuki (Uni Rissoto), Benijake (Sockeye Salmon), oysters, Bison and Tontoro (pork jowls). The Tontoro and Yamabuki had to be my favorite dishes of the evening...simply melts in your mouth. The other dishes were very good too, just these two in particular were that much better.

Nothing quite like it montreal. People told me SF has a good restaurant scene, I was skeptical this put my doubts to rest.
The waiter recommended a few of the daily specials, as well as the spicy tuna and another starter. His suggestions couldn't have been better (spicy tuna is a must have).
The sake menu is just crazy. More sake's on their list than calories in a big mac.
Was given a glass of wine after one spilled. Got 6 pieces of sashimi instead of 5.

This seems a paramount challenge at most restaurants but not Ozumo. Not only did the waiter and chef go out of their way to ensure our dining delight but we were made to feel at home. It was money well spent because it was not just food, wine, sake and tea, it was an experience.
The experience flowed smoothly and professionally the entire evening and our server helped guide us through the extensive sashimi, sushi and beef menu. She was at our table when we needed her and away when when we didn't need her. She made suggestions and got to know our sashimi palate so that what she brought to the table perfectly matched our desires and was beautifully presented.
This was truly the most delicious and freshest fish I have ever eaten and even the soy sauce used to dip was extraordinary.

The waiter was very knowledgable and helpful. I told him what I typically liked, and his suggestions were spot on. The fish was very fresh, but it was a bit pricey. It was close to $180 for two of us, one drink each, and I had to order a bowl of rice at the end so I wouldn't leave hungry.
