This was our first time here and will not be our last. We were amazed at the the quality of the 'Buck a Shuck' local (Noank) oysters. Along wtih half price beer and wine at the bar during happy hour it was a most unexpected pleasure. When were shown to our table for dinner, we were just as impressed with the food and service. What a wonderful find!

We liked the restaurant but were turned away because we arrived before 12 even though we had a reservation. We had both driven a long distance and were trying this place for the first time. Fortunately, the food and ambiance were very good which helped us overcome our initial impression.

Wowweee, wow, wow: they just keep getting better! We didn't think it possible. We come here whenever we visit Mystic. This night I had flounder fit for a King. Even the strangers at the tables around us were saying OMG you have to get the flounder, the meatloaf, the pasta. Hello! This food is inventive, fresh & local, delicious. What more can you ask for?

We spent the night in Mystic on our way to Bar Harbor and were thrilled with the Oyster Club for dinner. We enjoyed the uniqueness of the daily menu and the freshness of each dish. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the local Mystic area but especially to people who appreciate seafood-to-table dining.

Oyster Club is by far the best restaurant in Southeastern CT. In fact it might be the best in the whole state and even New England. I live in Mystic and my parent's visited for the weekend. I took them to the Oyster Club. First, the bread was fresh baked and amazing. Second, we ordered the mussels to share. They were fantastic and the broth they came in was outstanding. I wanted to drink it. It was perfect for dipping the bread in. My mom ordered the catch of the day (I believe it was haddock). My mom is the slowest eater in the world and never finishes her meal. She inhaled it! She let me taste it and it was fresh and very tasty. My dad and I had the pasta with ragu sauce. It was better than most Italian places I've been too.

I have enjoyed dining at the Oyster Club ever since they opened. The past two times, however, I have found the food excessively salty. Yesterday morning, in fact, my eyes were all puffy from the salt I ingested the night before. The high quality ingredients they use food do not require a lot of salt.

Happy hour has oyster for $1 each. They were great! We sat @ the bar for drinks & oyster. Then, we went to the dinning room for dinner. there, it was a different story. My RI chowder was very salty. My wife's NE chowder was good; light & creamy, but a lot of potatoes. My pasta was so salty I didn't eat it. My wife's shrimp & grits was also very salty. No one tastes want they prepare. They gave us a free desserts; big deal! We been there before & had a good experience, but time it was poor.

We had an excellent meal at Oyster Club this past Saturday. We were quickly seated and well looked after by the staff, for the entire meal. The Oyster selection were local as they fully embrace the farm to table concept. We settled on a mix of 2 dozen oysters with cocktails to wash them down. The apps that followed were excellant. Love the meatballs! We ordered a range of entrees and they were all delicious. This is a unique restaurant and with their ever changing menu, it remains exciting. Make a reservation and spend time with friends sampling their fare! You will be pleased. I know we were! Thanks Oyster Club!

My wife and i visited the Oyster Club for our 14th-anniversary-night-out, and found it to be wonderful. Lovely setting, nicely designed, very warm staff. The highlight, as it should be, was the food. We've eaten at a handful of Michelin-star restaurants, but found the food here topped them all, absolutely fantastic. We elected to go with 5 'First courses', rather than entrees, and were glad we did. From the local oysters, through the chowder, smoked bluefish pate, mussels in broth, heirloom tomato salad, and shrimp + grits; one course was better than the next. Just about perfect, highly recommended.

Foodies might not like the portions, but the food is delicious, including the desserts. Fish was very fresh. My entrée was a tad salty. Had good choice of wines. Bar area seemed like it was lively, but we weren't there for drinks (work night). If you want, salad and sides are a la cart. Service was a little slow. Took awhile to get dinner entrees (maybe b/c we didn't order apps). Ginger cake dessert is quite delicious if it's on the menu when you go.

We love everything about the Oyster Club! The food is spectacular and the service is great and the staff so friendly! You also don't have to wait long for the food to arrive! We have never been for lunch or brunch, that will be another time. One of my favorite dishes are the clams in the cilantro coconut broth. I also had the seared Tuna on lentils with a peanut sauce and it was outstanding. My husband loves to start with the Bloody Mary with the Oyster on top then a dozen oysters. He says it's the best oysters he's ever had and he's had a lot! Our friends that joined us had a chicken dish and a pasta dish. They loved all the different flavors! The atmosphere is very nice. The lights are dimmed but not to dark, candles and fresh flowers!!!!

It was my Bday & the last night of weekend getaway & I was traveling solo. They gave me a lovely table by a window & the magic began. The bread was amazing. My server was lovely & offered her input on which oysters to go with. The menu changes daily & is farm to table at it's best. The oysters & seafood was caught earlier that day & tasted it. The Watch Hills Oysters were like BUDDA. The black fish was OUTSTANDING. Local wine - delicious. They brought out my dessert with a candle & comped my dessert & tea as a Happy Bday. Truly one of the best meals I've ever had. Brilliant choice by me. I WILL BE BACK!!!

Obnoxious woman bartender. I had to ask to be served a cocktail. Seemed putout because I had to ask. No smile, just a sourpuss. Next issue were patrons wearing gimme caps in this expensive restaurant. Waitress unwilling do do anything. Next time......I'll just walk out. If I want to dine with gimme caps, I'll find a Hooter's Restaurant. I have been to Oyster Club numerous times and have truly enjoyed the experience. This time was a bit different, but I will go back. We have eaten at Oyster Club several times. The food and service are always both very good. On this night (very busy night on holiday weekend) it took us 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated; luckily, the weather was pleasant and they have nice chairs outside to wait in, so not a huge deal. The tree top bar is also a fun place to have a cocktail.

Excellent food- mussels and duck egg on toast for appetizers were amazing. I had the black fish and my boyfriend ordered the steak - both very good - couldn't go wrong with either choice. Dessert? Out of this world - we shared the coconut and lavender cake which I was a bit hesitant, however I couldn't put my fork down. The service was excellent and at no time did we feel rushed. Afterwards we had a drink out front on the adirondack chairs while waiting for friends, than moved upstairs to the treehouse which is just beautiful and relaxing on a nice summer evening. Wil return and recommend to all.

Visited oyster bar two weeks ago with family for the first time and had a wonderful dinner: all six of us. Took some friends back this past weekend and was very disappointed. I ordered same dinner i had the first time fried tofu. It was terrible.. Tofu was hard and difficult to chew. I think they might have changed recipe from two weeks ago. It was entirely different and not great. Of our oarty of five only two thought their dinners( steak) was good. Service was fine .. And we will have to try it one more time but it just wasnt great. Chowder was not hot coming to the table and oysters were ok.

We've been to the Oyster Club a handful of times and find that you don't know what to expect. Part of that has to do with their use of local ingredients and basing their offerings on what is available, so that can impact the menu offerings. But even taking that into account the food we've eaten has ranged from awesome to just okay. We'll be back but we're also looking for some consistency in their offerings. As an example, during this most recent visit we ordered the Quahog Chowder. It arrived without any quahogs, and I was told that was because the quahogs are added to the base chowder at serving and were forgotten to be added to my order.

Stellar farm/sea to table menu from a kitchen that knows how to cook. Interesting and eclectic daily changing menu. Goat ragout was to die for. Yellow fin tuna super. I like a lot of food and did not find portions at all stingy. Only rec I would make is to add a few more lower priced reds to menu like the nice price range selection of whites
