Diner Reviews
  • "All apps came out but one. We had to remind her that 1 out of 4 apps never came out. Food was tasty although 2 shrimp dishes were over cooked and rubbery. My husband's surf n turf was great and so was my daughters steak."

  • "The filet and crab is always delicious . The filet was cooked perfectly and the bernaise sauce is wonderful. The cheesecake in a bananas foster sauce is one of the best desserts around. The service was particularly slow this visit, we sat for 10 minutes with empty plates before our waitress came to our table and then another 10 before she was back to take our dessert order."

  • "We enjoyed our first time eating there. The food was very tasty with a nice variety. We chose to eat in the bar area because you could have your choice of menus. The only complaint was the service. The wait was long before we were recognized and to get our check. It was explained that the staff was down by one and there was a convention in town, but it didn't seem that crowded to us. We will try it again but we will sit in the dining room next time."

  • "I love fine dining, but dislike how some restaurants / chefs won't alter the menu at all -- such was NOT the case at Oyster Bay. They were very accommodating and allowed us to really get the sides we wanted (even if it was two of the same!). Calamari was fresh and wonderfully tempura battered. The lamb was excellent quality. My only concern with noting is that the food was heavier than expected (cheese on the lamb, sour cream mixed in the potatoes, etc.). So just be aware. Otherwise, great experience."

  • "We ate dinner on Friday night and it was wonderful, as usual. I went with 2 ladies who had never been and they were so impressed with the food. I am sure they will return as will I. Jane Dougherty"

  • "I had the seafood pot pie and my wife had the strip steak with shrimp....both were outstanding meals from salad to dessert. This will be a definite go to place whenever in Cape May."

  • "We have eaten here before and always had a nice meal with great service. They have a nice bar with wine list, excellent service, outstanding meal. I had the seafood pot pie and it was delicious, as well as the spinach salad with brie cheese--I'd come back just for this! My husband had the oysters rockefeller and grouper as his entree--both excellent. We will be back! Thanks for a lovely dinner."

  • "My wife and I are not foodies. We favor plain simple fare and often have to scour the menu for an entree we will enjoy. Not so at Oyster Bay. Although there is an ample selection of "haute cuisine" for the more daring palates; there is a nice selection of well made simpler dishes. The atmosphere was very nice, the room did not seem at all crowded and the conversation was muted enough to enjoy Frank Sinatra. Although unable to enjoy the wine cellar, Oyster Bay seemed well stocked with well known domestic labels of popular varieties, many by the glass. I was delighted to find they served Buckler, one of the better non-alcoholic beers. If we visit Cape May again we will definitely return."

  • "We enjoyed a cocktail at the beautiful bar before being seated for dinner. Our dinner experience. My steak was ordered to be medium, it came out well. Typically when I've ordered steak, the waitress or waiter would wait for me to cut onto the steak to check on how it was prepared. The rest if our meals where fine. Thank you! Mr.Micklus"
