  • "Went for brunch to celebrate my mom and aunts birthday. The Brussels sprouts were fabulous! All our food was delicious. Service was great. The noise level inside is high and makes it harder to hold a conversation. We did request outdoor seating but did not get it. We will keep trying."

  • "This could be such a great spot if it wasn't for the extreme noise level. 3/5 of our group left with headaches! Food was good but difficult to enjoy because of the uncomfortable noise. Our waiter was really nice and personable when we saw him which wasn't often!"

  • "Awesome place, we started going here a little over a year ago and have loved it every time. The coffee is amazing, and the new dinner menu is a must check out. The tuna is amazing.. One thing that surprised me is the place is decently kid friendly, I have a 2 year old daughter and we go usually once a week for breakfast and usually see quite a few other kids her age."

  • "Brunch was great with my family. We eat the French Toast and omelette which were very good."

  • "I had the chicken pailard and fries and was a bit disappointed because it was very salty tasting. However, the waiter was very attentive and I found the place quite interesting."

  • "I have had lunch at Oxford 3 or 4 times now and this particular time we visited for my birthday lunch. Food was good, my husbands ice tea came out wrong but was corrected after a while. The thing that bothers me was the service, our waiter was horrible. Not very friendly, don't think he smiled the whole time, and didn't even check on us once our food came out. We had to flag him down to correct the iced tea mistake and to get a to go container for food and drink (which he made us box and pour ourself) as well as asking for our check. Super disappointed in the service once again. :("

  • "This place is hidden gem. I loved the assorted teas and the burger was wonderful. My friend enjoyed their food as well."

  • "Food is always on par and the surroundings are unlike anything in Tampa, very New York style. I wish it weren't so busy, a lot of hustle & bustle. But it was really good food in a beautiful setting."

  • "What a great place! Stopped for lunch. Great service! The food was fantastic! The building has an interesting history. It reminded me of a European Café. Had the Taco. Not your every day taco. The symphony of flavors made it the best taco I've ever had! I highly recommend Oxford Exchange."

  • "This is our favorite spot for mother-daughter lunches. On our last visit, we had a table in the lovely atrium. My daughter and I shared the grilled chicken paillard. Our wonderful server Tyler split the dish onto two separate plates. It was light, tasty, and beautifully plated - just perfect! The ice tea was delicious, too. I gave the ambience 4 stars instead of 5 because the noise level is quite high, and we were there around 12:30pm which meant bright sun beating down on half of our table. Not a big issue, if you can speak loudly and your companions don't mind your wearing sunglasses during part of your meal. I still prefer to sit in the atrium."

  • "Server too busy to meet our needs. But decor and food was great!"

  • "The atmosphere is chaotic an the noise level is uncomfortably high. The decor is charming and the food was very good. Once we finally got seated, the service was above average, but the servers seemed overwhelmed. The tea selection was excellent."

  • "I was so excited about a brunch with my family at Oxford Exchange. I had heard so many good things about it and couldn't wait. However, when I got there, there wasn't even ONE option for kids that wasn't too exotic. I would recommend a very simply 1 or 2 choice breakfast/lunch option for kids that wouldn't be too difficult such as eggs/plain pancakes (which I know you have pancakes but Sunday 7/20, you ran out) and maybe a pizza/quesadilla for lunch?? I think that would be very pleasing for families. Otherwise, my waiter was AMAZING and the food was delicious. Also, with a full restaurant, it was VERY noisy and difficult to carry on a conversation."

  • "We usually meet with family and friends every Sunday morning. We always ask for Joey as our server...he makes a good experience...great. The food is excellent and fits all dietary challenges. Makes Sunday mornings special...without the high price of buffets that have mediocre food and lackluster service."

  • "Food was horrible service was extremely terrible. Took over 45 minutes to get our food. My intentional cold food was so cold it was hard and the salmon was over cooked a second time after it was "determines to be over cooked and redone" which was why it took so long. Didn't get to speak to manager till all things had already happens. After speaking to him, he apologized, and handled the situation as a good manager would. Will try again."

  • "This was my first visit to Oxford Exchange. I love the atmosphere --- book store, coffee bar, a little shopping, restaurant. It doesn't feel like Tampa at all...which is a good thing! It has an artsy, bigger city feel! Lunch was excellent -- pork tacos outstanding."

  • "Oxford Exchange is mainly a lunch place - and their lunch is AWESOME. We went for their dinner - supper, as they call - one of these days. They are open for dinner only on Thursdays and Sundays, by the way. The food was decent overall - the appetizers were fantastic, and they make the best Brussels sprout (seriously). The wine list is decent. Main course was excellent, especially the halibut; but the only vegetarian item on the menu was exceptionally bland. The service was average. While I will definitely visit this place for lunch, my dinner choices will be Edison food+Lab, or Mise en Place, which are close by."

  • "OE just started offering dinner hours/ menu Thursdays and Sundays. Outstanding start (for dinner)! Excellent quality food! Great presentation; very solid, helpful wait staff. Love this place for any time of day... breakfast, lunch or (now) dinner!"

  • "Since it's opening in September of 2012, I have been "shocked with pleasure" by the Oxford Exchange. This is a world-class enterprise at the leading edge of all that Tampa aspries to become. The restaurant is extraordinary, the Commerce Club redefines "premium" is every aspect of its offerings, the coffee, tea, retail, and book offerings are simply classy to the maximum. Tampa needs to offer every conceivable bit of support to this extraordinary concepts in "premium everything." The cherry on top of the hot fudge sundae that is Oxford, is simply it's location across from UT and the copious free parking behind the restaurant. Oxford is a Tampa jewel and the food is consistently of true gourmet quality. Go often and be amazed (as I am)!!"

  • "My home and office are within a mile of OE. Been going once a month or so since it opened. Food is good, not great. Lately service has improved but food seems to be declining in quality slightly. Salads have gotten smaller and the tea is less perfect than it once was. Or maybe I was just too distracted at first by the absolutely gorgeous interior design of the space. :) It's not an expensive choice but it's definitely over-priced. It's a "must try"."

  • "I treated my friend to lunch for her birthday. She had not been to Oxford Exchange. From the architecture, library/store entry, to the food and service, we had a delightful time. I had a wonderful salad and she had the chicken and biscuit. All was delicious and our server very attentive and friendly. The hostess was most accommodating to our table request. Thanks!"

  • "In need of a brunch spot that offered an enticing selection of breakfast and lunch dishes, I also wanted a location that was more than just another dining room setting. Oxford Exchange is so different and the food so delicious that it proved to be the perfect choice. Fortunately my group had reservations because the wait time when we arrived was two hours. There was a slight delay that required us to be seated about 15 minutes after our reserved time but we wanted to sit in the glass-ceilinged atrium and the wait was well worthwhile. Service was seamless and seemed perfectly timed to suit our timetable."

  • "Great ambience, decor and pure cool chic! Love this place. Food is generally good, but can be better. The 'Green Chilly Pork Taco' had no chilly, while the Quinoa Falafel came with guacamole, which tasted odd and surely a bad combination. Good to have ethnic dishes, but the chef is afraid of bolder ethnic flavors. Contemporary urban clients (even in the backwaters of Tampa) are more used to seasonings, spices and herbs. So traditional 'play it safe' conservative bland approach makes the food boring and so yesterday. The kitchen needs to be more bold and crank up the flavor notch."

  • "The scene and ambiance is what makes this place so popular. Great food, but you can get something just as good for half the price. Everyone needs to try it at leat once. Great for foodies and groups--bad for allergies or picky eaters."

  • "I used Open Table for my reservation and the restaurant didn't have it/couldn't find it (I even had the email confirmation to show them)."

  • "I've eaten at Oxford Exchange 4-5 times only for brunch. I've had great service every time except for last. Our mimosas almost came out at the same time the food did. We had to call over the waiter almost every single time he was needed. Either you couldn't handle the volume or it was a poor hire. I will come back without a doubt but I just hope I don't get this experience again. Also for noise level, the max lvl you can choose should be "too loud". It was very noisy that day which is usually great but it was too much."

  • "Fabulous spot for lunch, especially if you are not in a hurry. Nothing else like it in the area. A little old fashioned and modern at the same time. The fried chicken bisquit with honey was pure bliss and melted in my mouth. The entire entree was gone before I knew it and the portion sizes are great. The tea/coffee selection is fabulous and is a great way to start or end your dining experience."

  • "A beautiful place with a lot of character and good food, but a bit noisy in the dining room."

  • "The food was inconsistent. ..I raved about the Brussel sprouts and brought a group to eat them and they were different than what I previously had and descrived. Waitress did not describe the teas nor say no refills and we got our drinks after the food. I like the atmosphere, the shopping and the coffee shop! I would try a different meal again but would not tell friends because of the inconsistency and poor service. It's also very pricy for lunch. I would not be comfortable recommending to coworkers or friends for food..but would say go for the experience of the shop."

  • "Expecting something wonderful, it was just mediocre. Service was very poor. Basically it is a bookstore with an expensive restaurant attached to it. All side items for breakfast are extra. The charge for even butter and jelly. (toast, bacon, butter, jelly, potatoes, etc). Trying to recreate the ambiance of a French Bistro, but falls short. It is a lot of hoopla for nothing espectacular."

  • "A few years ago I read an article regarding Oxford Exchange. Wanting to visit the restaurant, I made a reservation via Open Table. My husband and I are still raving about the food and the service. The locally sourced organic food is amazing. I wouldn't recommend Oxford Exchange as a kid friendly resturant unless the kids are real foodies. My husband and I enjoyed our lunch, the gluten free cupcake and the overall dining/shopping experience."

  • "Found this while perusing Open Table for a place to go for mid-day meal that was not a buffet. What a great find! Plan on going back! Food was excellent, Buttermilk pancake short stack was absolutely delicious. Only issue is parking...but that issue can certainly be overlooked for this gem. Drop off guests who can't walk far and find parking (as I did around the corner) on the street."

  • "Whether you are having a business or social breakfast, this is a great way to start your day. The ambience out in the atrium is fantastic and takes you to a place of serenity and relaxation. The food and beverage selection is unmatched and all aspects of your dining experience at the Oxford Exchange are treated as special making this a favorite of mine. I also bring people here for lunch and am so happy they are starting to offer dinner service! I'll be back for that soon!"
