  • "My wife had the chicken burger. I had the pork belly & blue burger. Both were quite acceptable with tasty sauces. Our waitress brought extra paper napkins for my burger as she deemed it "messy" to eat. She was correct. The Buddy Brew lattes were delicious and well presented. Staff were attentive. We were at the end of a banquette with a great view of the University of Tampa. We have enjoyed seating in the atrium in the past. "

  • "My two gal pals and I had lunch at OE earlier this week. It is a cool spot with the retail shop, coffee bar and bookstore. We first ordered kale chips, out of sheer curiosity. We are no longer curious. Yikes. Our lunches- 2 salads and a fish sandwich- were all tasty and well portioned. I will definitely eat at OE again."

  • "Our reservation was specified as Afternoon Tea. There was no communication between the online reservation, the restaurant and the staff to specify that the tea is only available after 3pm. We made an additional reservation over the phone and the same problem was encountered. We received confirmation of our reservations for 1pm, the tables were set with our large group all together despite the need to make 3 different reservations. The staff was apologetic for the mis communication and offered us additional pastries for the group. It was a delicious meal and the setting is very family/group friendly. We will definitely return. Our hope is that our experience will highlight the restaurant staff's need for better training and communication."

  • "Surprised to find that no live person for reservations - were disconnected with a 'good bye' twice....a little painful. Touted as being a trendy place that two offspring of a major Florida family had started, it seemed that no one was really watching the details - dirty floors, many tables kept from wobbling with sugar packs, rocks....(ok temporary fix but come on....) unkempt plants (looks like nothing touched since planted when they opened), fountain - either water low or the inside waterproofing was too high....all took away from a 'good feel' - started to wonder about the kitchen. Wine - VERY short pour in very tiny glasses. Wow - $12 for 2 ounces. We run a retail store w/attention to detail.....owners need to pay more attention."

  • "Charming, quaint and utterly refined boutique, cafe, tea and coffee pastry bookstore. Brilliant in every direction. Haute cuisine with tea from all over the world, especially great British blends. And understated yet crisp scones with a touch of clotted cream. Or, lunch with a chicken burger, house specialty! And that's just the food. The entire place is worth getting there way early or plan to stay afterwards and browse the bookstore and boutique. Truly refined Tampa at it's best. Classic stories to local focus. Charming child gifts. And they have offices for rent upstairs. Conference rooms with big screens, business facility with faxes, phones and copy machines."

  • "We had a small group there to celebrate a birthday and made reservations in advance. I had a last minute change on the reservation -- party of 4 to 6 -- staff was very pleasant and still seated us on time. The server was very nice. The food seemed to take longer than i previously remember but it was very good and worth the wait. We capped off the brunch with a cupcake -- devils food with buttercream frosting - and that where the the food does not receive the 5 stars. The buttercream tasted like straight butter. My girls mentioned something to the server when she came back to check but the dessert was not removed from the ticket until i requested it be removed. Overall Love the ambiance and the prices and food are great."

  • "This was my 5th and last trip to OE. The service we received on Saturday was HORRENDOUS. Our server was short with us, never ever came back except to take our order, and bring our check. WE were never asked for drink refills, whether or not we had received the correct orders, how our meals were, etc. . I had asked a friend to join me there for lunch - it was her first visit to OE. I was so embarrassed. For the price we paid for our meal, we expected service about the level of a fast food chain. I will NEVER go back and will not recommend OE anymore. Also, be careful of up charges. We asked for an english muffin instead of toast and were not told there would be a $3.00 charge."

  • "I brought two friends of mine who had never been as I had ranted and raved numerous times about OE. Initially, they were as charmed as I had been. The service was quick and very friendly...until after we got our food. It did start to get very busy as the lunch crowd was coming in, but all the more reason to continue quick service! We waited almost 20 minutes after we had finished to get boxes and a check. We ended up having to rush back to work and did not have time to grab a coffee or shop as we had intended. It's not a good first impression on new guests when you have to run out of the shop because you ran out of time due to slow service."

  • "We arrived on time and were escorted by the hostess to a table. Menu was dirty and was replaced. Table was dirty, had to ask for it to be cleaned. Lots of staff standing around but our waiter arrived in about 10 minutes. He was good once he finally arrived. Food was good but overpriced. Omelet was okay. Husband's ham scramble thin and barely warm. Side potatoes were cold. I will try again but quantity of customers does not guarantee quality of food or service. Needs better quality control and more direct management. Very disappointed."

  • "OE was amazing! We sat in the foyer area, next to the fountain. It has an open air feel and it was very comfortable. For a small corking fee, you can BYOB of champagne. Their fresh squeezed orange juice was perfect for mimosas. Healthy food options and delictable plates. Obviously, their coffee was amazing too! Very unique atmosphere and ambiance. Can't wait to go again for Sunday funday."

  • "What an uber chic establishment! We were impressed with the modern decor, the swanky lounges, and the dapperly dressed employees. The cuisine was just as titillating as the environment. The elements within each plate was crisp, unprocessed, and fresh. We had guests with us from Washington DC and they fell as madly in love with this gem as we did! Overall experience is incomparable and offers award winning brunch dishes and first rate service!"
