Oxford ExchangeI love the ambience, the decorI love the ambience, the decor and the food. We had a muffin with coffee before our meal arrived and it was out of this world. Great place!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's in the detailsVery nice restaurant with great attention to detail. From the atmosphere and menu to presentation and great food, OE does it all well. Unlike some restaurants where the food might be impeccable, but other aspects, like the beverages or service become an after-thought, OE has thought of it all with great attention to detail.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMJessica's Birthday BrunchExcellent service, European atmosphere, lovely seating choices, and tasty food. A place one enjoys spending a long morning with a friend over cups of hot tea/coffee and delicious brunch entrees. Thanks for helping make my birthday extra special!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA+Tried this place for lunch with a friend and is was fantastic, the ambiance, the little touches. Like receiving the bill in the pages of an old book, beverage menu to include loose leaf tea bar and barista style coffee... Fantastic6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFrisco styleVery San Francisco -excellent food and great decor. Will return as often as we can.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOxford Exchange LoveI loved Oxford Exchange! It had tasty good and great service and I will definitely go back another time and try something new! The tea and coffee options were awesome too and I hope to try more of those as well!6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWife's Birthday BrunchMy name is Phil. I am a Tampa native and have been to many a brunch over the years. I recently took my wife for brunch on her birthday to The Oxford Exchange. The food was amazing, the price was fair, and the experience was one that will keep us coming back. Jackson's brunch is over priced, and buffet style isn't the best when it comes to quality... Oxford's food is all organic, and you can taste the difference!! I recommend the fries! They're amazing, simple as that. My wife had a great time, so for certain we will be back in the future. I recommend going early so that you can see the book store and shop. Overall terrific experience.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMBig city ambianceDelicious food and beverages. Unique/swanky big city ambiance6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's an ExperienceDining at Oxford Exchange is about more than just the food: the architecture, the historical nature of the building and its fixtures, and the lovely book store - it is worth lingering to ensure that you take it all in. And if you love either coffee or tea, this is your place with separate coffee and tea bars featuring a wide variety of beverages. The food is very good. It's a relatively limited menu, but easy to find something that strikes your fancy.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthdayMy friend and I celebrated our birthdays together at OE on june 8. The food was great, the waiter was exceptional (can't remember his name). The manager visited our table and when we told him it was our birthdays he had our waiter serve us 2 complementary desserts with birthday candles. The desserts were fabulous. Excellent client service! This was my 2nd visit to OE and I recommend OE to everyone. I'm from New York and it so reminds me of SOHO in NY. Great place! I'll be back soon. Thank you.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restaurant, great food.Great restaurant, great food. Drinks are over-priced, with no refills. Noise level is bearable, but takes away from dining experience.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for business or with friendsAttentive staff, flavorful food, wonderful tea selection. Always look forward to the next visit. Try the grilled cheese with goat cheese and pear. The kale Caesar salad is delicious as well.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat ambiance, good foodThe place is gorgeous and enormous. Beautiful layout and takes you back to the great Gatsby. Food was good, simple, and clean. Coffee and tea bar was incredible.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMINCREDIBLE EXPERIENCEUnbelievable dining experience. Best place to eat in all of the Tampa Bay area. Off the charts5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMOh Dear.........Great food and amazing atmosphere, but early 20 something waiter called me "dear". I'm 55 ( my 23 yo daughter felt it was tacky too). Big tacky no-no. Talk to staff.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMMenu is good but not as goodMenu is good but not as good as when first opened. Needs a few changes. Service was nice although slow. Prices are arbitrary and a little high.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time at Oxford ExchangeFirst time at Oxford Exchange and thought it was great. Loved the indoor-outdoor courtyard area. Both food and service were very good.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Food, Service a Bit SpottyWe ate at the Oxford Exchange for brunch. We were seated right away, but it took several minutes for anyone to greet us and take our drink order--A real red flag. The server finally arrived and apologized for the delay, and things settled in from there. Menu was decidedly yuppy but the food was very good. Omelets were excellent and one person in our party had a chicken burger, which was topped with jalapenos, spicy mayo, and avocado, and was excellent. The hummus appetizer was just so-so, with the hummus having no noticable garlic, lemon, or salt flavors, which we enjoy. Fun menu of coffee and tea drinks. Would recommend it.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat brunchSome great choices and you can mix and match off the a la carte section to make your own bfast combination.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMUniqueOxford Exchange offered a quaint but posh atmosphere. Food selections were very unique -- pork belly omelet and pancakes were fantastic. I really enjoyed my visit and look forward to another.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMfood great....service excellent....food great....service excellent......a class place5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Vibe and cool eatsWas in Tampa visiting our daughter who took us here for brunch. A cool, trendy pace with a great vibe. Had a hard time deciding whether to eat breakfast or lunch, there were so many great things on the menu. Decided to go with breakfast and it was awesome. Fresh, different and just plain good. I had the salmon bagel and fruit parfeit. We liked it so much we went back a couple of days later to have lunch. This trip I had the yummy lobster BLT with the most delicious sweet potato fries. Looking forward to our next visit so we can try more things on the menu.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMLadies who lunchOur table of four had a lovely lunch experience at The Oxford Exchange. We were able to have wonderful conversation surrounded by the low buzz of other dynamic diners. Kale chips appetizer, fantastic steak sandwich and their sweet potato fries were the best/crispest I've ever had. Loved the fun menu of teas hot/cold too. It is a relaxing, urban chic environment. When we finished lunching we stepped into their home shoppe to peruse, then into the lovely bookstore where I bought two Caldecott prize winning books for our children. Lovely afternoon with my ladies who lunch.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful!Tea bar, coffee bar, book store, and great food under one roof. Gorgeous architecture5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a fabulous job the CasperWhat a fabulous job the Casper family did! I only wish Tampa would step up and do more of the same thing all over town. Atlanta has done a wonderful job of renewal in industrial areas (West End) and we have such a rich history here,it's a shame we don't do more of the same thing! Great food/service/ambience, and in such a cool environment, and I'm 53!! It was so nice to go to such a unique place; our server was outstanding.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMsensory overloadBeautiful decor, fun shopping and ambiance undeniable. Food could be touched up a notch but coffee and real maple syrup with pancakes worth the trip. Gaspacho woud not reorder, salads ordinary, teas and as I said, coffees are best in Tampa - far better than Starbucks and the Barista's know what they are doing.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBest ambiance in the regionThe food at Oxford is excellent. Simple and fresh are the two words that come to mind. The coffees and teas are from Buddy Brew and Tebella which are very good in their own right. i've been a number of times and the key element to Oxford Exchange is the ambiance and the company with you. The atmosphere invites great discussion and every time I've been with a group it's been an amazing experience. Go with friends and invite people you would like to become new friends. You'll never want to leave.
One thing that is worth noting they offer lunch/brunch mainly. I've heard they also have "afternoon tea". I wish they offered a dinner service. I'd definitely try it.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMy teenage daughter and aMy teenage daughter and a group of her friends celebrated a birthday by having afternoon tea at the Oxford Exchange. They had a wonderful time and loved the food, especially the scones. My daughter commented that it is as if someone took a piece of New York City and relocated it to Tampa. I gave the service only three stars because it took the server about half an hour to get them their tea - not just the beverage but the accompanying food.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMMidday Lunch DateI went to Oxford Exchange for the first time with my two girlfriends. We were all pleased with the food and although service was a little slow, the waiters and waitresses were all very nice and accommodating. The teas and coffee are to die for and the food portions were huge!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMI had been before but broughtI had been before but brought my parents for Mother's Day and they loved it! They came from Orlando so it was a real treat. The atmosphere is like no other in Tampa and we love it.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSouth Tampa GemI have been to Oxford Exchange several times and decided to make reservations for Mother's Day. Our table was ready on time, we were greeted with a complimentary Mimosa and the service and food were wonderful!! The other 5 people in my party had never been before and they all loved it. We spent time in the gift shop and book store afterwards, it was a wonderful brunch.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOxford Exchange Stand Out...Amongst most other breakfast, lunch, brunch type of eateries. Its eclectic atmosphere makes it so much more than a restaurant. It can be turned into a few hours of eating, browsing books, looking through their unusual store, and just generally taking in the beautiful taste that turned this into a work of art in all respects. Don't miss the experience.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBrilliant!Even though I'm not a mother, I really wanted to take my mom out for lunch, and sadly, she didn't want to go! So I went by myself. The staff made me feel like I was royalty, the food was to die for (I had the Halibut), the Tea was Amazing, and there was definitely a nice buzz throughout the whole place! Now my mom is jealous, so I'll take her to the Oxford Exchange for her Birthday. Everything about this restaurant is fabulous, including the price! This is my new favorite place to have some awesome and fresh food in a gorgeous atmosphere.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere!Loved the decor, the service was great, the menu is limited and needs some additional choices. I ordered the Club, the cheese was to thick and it needed a special pesto/mayo. It wasn't great. I will try something else on my next visit. T-Dog5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat good and ambianceThis restaurant is a gem. The food was wonderful and the design of the space was incredible. Make a reservation then arrive early to browse the shop.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMYummyBreakfast was delicious and love the outdoorish area and the special coffees and teas are a treat5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food, Service didn't matchStopped by for lunch for the 1st time. Food was great, but the service was not. Once our food was received we were forgotten. The server took 15 mins just to get our check back to us after handing him my credit card. Lobster BLT was perfect though... Outside seating is nice just sit in an area with shade, the roof acts like a greenhouse.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMroast vegetable saladIt was tasty however i think there could have been less green beans. I was expecting sliced eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash and some sweet bell peppers. It could have been roasted a little more. The dressing was good. I probably would not order it again.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMCool vibeThe location is an eclectic mix of shops with a cool ambiance. The sweet potato fries and matcha lemonade are a must try! It was a little on the noisy side in the conservatory but the beautiful natural light made up for it!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is good but needs someFood is good but needs some improvement. The selection is a little small with similar items. Our server was slow and made lunch too long. That seems to be standard. Friendly atmosphere. Fair prices but not enough entrees. Some items priced high, particularly for lunch. We have been a few times, and will go more with improvement5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasant SurpriseThe Oxford Exchange was chosen as a convenient location to meet for lunch . . . We knew nothing about the restaurant, and were pleasantly surprised!! Our meals were outstanding, the server and all support staff were cordial and prompt with all requests. When finished with our meal, we thoroughly enjoyed strolling thru the building and admired the variety of items for sale We LOVED the ambiance, particularly in the bookstore. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience15/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was unbelievable! The Oxford Exchange is just special!
This is a beautiful restaurant and the food was amazing!
This is a place that you expect to see Who's Who!
Definately check out the Tea menu (hot or cold)
DEVINE!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful placeMy food rating wasn't really fair to Oxford Exchange because I think I just ordered something from the menu that I personally did not like and should have sent it back and had them fix it. The hummus wrap just has TOO MUCH HUMMUS! It is prepared similar to bean burrito and had to dig the hummus out as I was eating it. Anything more then a smear of hummus, for me, upsets my stomach and it way too much. Also, my sister thought she was ordering a salad and ended up with a flatbread item. It was not a good day for ordering for us, but could have sent items back, but felt bad in doing so. Therefore, I left unsatisfied with the dining experience. Coffee was delicious!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful New PlaceGreat food and atmosphere .We went to celebrate a friends birthday and I cannot wait to bring my entire family,
Our Witer was excellent and our special tea's wonderful .the spinach salad very good.We decided on a berry tart for
dessert .Over all a great experience .5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAMAZING!Took my family for brunch and they absolutely loved it! The food, the atmosphere, the service, everything!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNoiseI love the OE. Have dinned there 5 times now the only thing I think needs work is sound proofing. It is always so loud at times to a point one can't hear the conversation at the table Not side how it could be accomplished without hurting the atmosphere but maybe someone could think of a solution5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGirls Lunch OutingI met my BFF at the Oxford Exchange and had a great celebrating her birthday.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Place to BeWe took our team here for lunch, and the food was very good. It was a little difficult to carry on steady conversation due to the noise level; but our service and food made up for it. The place was very busy; and unless you want to wait, you need a reservation for lunch! DEFINITELY give their coffees and teas a try! I had their salted caramel latte tea, and it was a delicious dessert substitute!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGood time had by allOn my second visit, I took three friends who had not been to OE before. They loved the character of the building, and we checked out the nooks and crannies. Love what owners have taken such care in the details and what they've done to preserve a Tampa treasure.
We had a reservation and were seated on the second in a comfy booth. The booth did buffer some of the noise, but there can't be a really quiet conversation. We did, however, have a really great lunch--all had tea (yummy) and sandwich (lobster BLT IS great).
We enjoyed the experience and the food. Can't wait until our kids come back to town so we can show them the OE.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMOxford Exchange... boo yah!I really like Oxford Exchange, and it's a wonderful space with lots of beautiful decor. The food is excellent too, and I really liked my chicken burger. The only downside to the visit this time was the waiter was only so-so. He was slow to service our table and to get us our bill. Also, we asked him a couple of times about the Mother's Day brunch menu, but he didn't seem to know it. The second time we asked him, he just walked away, which was kind of rude. Otherwise, we are big fans of Oxford Exchange. I am impressed that the Caspers family has taken on this initiative. Blake Casper and Allison Adams are the bomb!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
