Otto Enoteca PizzeriaVery enjoyable!Girls weekend for shows, shopping and food! Otto did not disappoint. We shared appetizers, pizza, salads, pasta dishes, wine and everything was delicious. Very reasonably priced. I would gladly return!6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMYummy, yummy!Otto was a great recommendation from a friend and I am so glad we took the time to book it and go. The food was amazing and I can't wait to return. The bar side was lively and great for people watching. You will not be disappointed if you go!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMario really does it.Excellent Food. Have to have the Caprese. But be warned ... It is VERY noisy. Will definitely go back.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMdining out loudMy friends and I had dinner on a Monday night and could not believe how busy the restaurant was. Yes, this is New York, but it was a really rainy Monday night and it was still packed -- and extremely loud. We had to yell throughout dinner as if we were at a club, so that was annoying. The food was good, though. We shared the always trustworthy Margherita pizza, and three veggies: asparagus with pecorino, eggplant caponata, and mixed mushrooms, all very yummy. The wines are affordable and our waitress was very nice.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGirls weekend in NYCHad a fabulous time at Otto!! This was our first stop on ours girls weekend and it set the perfect tone...Great food & Service was fabulous!!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat FoodCame to Otto's on a recommendation from a friend on our last night on a week long holiday in New York, and it proved a great end to a great week. If you are visiting or live in New York I would heartily recommend eating here. Quality ingredients and good honest cooking of simple recipes, except for the dessert which was quality ingredients, amazing combinations of flavours and imaginative recipes - I had the olive oil gelato and am coming back for more. If I lived in New York I would be here regularly. Thanks for a great meal.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGo ear;y to avoid the sceneWe enjoyed Otto very much and can't wait to go back. Things were really starting to heat up as we were leaving. Go early to avoid the "see and be seen" crowd.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect PIzza and moreWe love this place, for business lunch and also showing friends and visitors a good lively time.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food and WineWe have dining at Otto for years and really enjoy the food and the wine list is superb.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner w the kidsWe dined at Otto as we always do when we are in NYC with the kids and as always they delivered. They are always consistent and the quality is always outstanding. I always recommend Otto to ours friends because we can go there with our kids and get great food and ambiance and fit right into the scene. There is always a great crowd that seems to be in the know. A nice mix between travelers and locals. I never fail to order the olive oil ice cream and I'm am having cravings for it right now as I write this.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMtres bonne atmosphererespect de l'heure de ma réservation, pizza au truffle est exceptionnel, carte des vins très élaborer mais dispendieux, beaucoup beaucoup de monde, pas pour un souper romantique, atmosphere électrisante. J'ai bien aimer.
Very nice restaurent.
sorry i'm a french people from Canada.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMOtto's never disappoints.Otto's never disappoints. The prosciutto and arugula pizza is particularly amazing. The only downside is the noise level and our waiter this time was a little unattentative, but NYU's graduation was going on so that may have been the cause. Overall, one of the best places in the city that is also affordable!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat antipasti, pizza and gelato!Otto never disappoints and so happy we always make a rez in advance. The place was packed to the brim and we were walked right to our table. Heard a two-some in front of us being told it would be a 45 min to one hour wait for their table (on a Tuesday night, 7:30pm). New Yorkers know where to come for a good bite and great place.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingAlthough noisy, the outstanding food and wine, as well as the excellent bar service makes this restaurant topnotch. We will visit again5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMy dad loves their homemadeMy dad loves their homemade limoncello, and all he wanted was a way to bottle it and take it home! Too bad they don't sell it that way.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food...but noisy..Do not go here if you want to talk to anyone at a table for more than two people....ridiculously noisy...5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Value, amazing wineGreat Value, amazing wine list. Unique dishes with fresh, quality ingredients. Bold high quality flavors in their anitpasti, pastas and pizzas. Want to come back and methodically go through the menu.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of My favorite NYC spotsThis has been one of my favorite restaurants since I lived close enough for delivery almost every night, 8 years ago. The marinara pizza is stellar, and don't even get me started on the olive oil gelato. YUM!5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA gem!My favorite italian joint. The ambiance is versatie, great for date night, groups AND families. The food is phenomenal and super reasonably priced, PLUS the gelato is amaaazing.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMOtto is always extremely solidOtto is always extremely solid service and food for exceptional prices. Between two of us, we split an eggplant bruschetta, peppers, a marinara pizza, primavera pasta and the black and white dessert -- all for $22 each, not bad at all. Food is always outstanding too, so definitely worth it. If you go on a night than Friday or Saturday, it's also a lot easier to get a table, though still quite busy, even on a Monday.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place! It's not New York pizza. It's Italian pizza. Paper thin. Saucy. Fresh (never canned) ingredients. No slices only large personal pies that you'll finish and want more.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMbetter than expected! We went to Otto Enoteca as part of a birthday weekend celebration. We chose the restaurant because the birthday person loves to watch Mario Batali on various cooking shows. The food was excellent, service was very good, and the atmosphere was good but very noisy.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is probably my 20th timeThis is probably my 20th time eating at Otto's. I've never been disappointed in either the food, wine or service. It is always fun and the food is delicious. It's why I keep going back. The wait staff is always gracious and accommodating. This was the first time I sat at the bar and the bartender couldn't have been more attentive. I love going there with my family and I love going there with my friends. It always delivers.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, great priceI'm not sure why Otto gets such a bad rap in some reviews. We had a reservation on a Friday night, were seated right away, and had attentive service throughout the evening. We shared the eggplant appetizer--a generous serving more than enough for two, and delicious. We then split a pizza and a pasta, and concluded with the gelato sampler, including the olive oil gelato. Yes, there were large groups near us and several tables with children, but we could still hear each other. Just because a restaurant is popular with tourists doesn't mean you shouldn't go. Besides, the prices are so reasonable you owe it to your wallet to give it a try.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AM100% awesomeliterally not 1 negative word to say about this place. fabulous place with great prices, great wine, and great food. may be my new favorite NYC restaurant!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMExciting experience. DifferentExciting experience. Different idea for dining out. And reasonably priced.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful DennisAs a single lady of a certain age it is always nice to arrive at the bar at Otto and be greeted by Dennis, the friendly bartender who remembers my favorites and always has a smile. The food is delicious, but the gelato is superb.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Otto for lunch. PizzaLove Otto for lunch. Pizza is great and winter caprese salad is wicked.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAs two foodies but on a (prettyAs two foodies but on a (pretty tight) student budget in NYC for a long weekend, the quality of the food and wine that we got for what we paid was incredible. We both got starters, main course, shared a dessert and had a bottle of wine for $50 each including tax and a reasonable tip. The fresh pasta on the menu was delicious and the olive oil corbetta was so tart, fresh and flavoursome that we were "ooh-ing" and "aah-ing" at every bite. I'd also recommend without a moment's hesitation the spinach and ricotta salad with truffle honey; I couldn't get it into my mouth fast enough. On a different note, we arrived pretty late, just after 10.45pm as we had been at a show, and the place was still hopping with people and we were not rushed out.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMhave been there many timeshave been there many times and never had a bad experience. it can get very noisy at times but that is part of the energy of the scene. food comes out exceptionally fast and is excellent. this is a cant go wrong for just about any occasion.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMOtto Magnifico! Our Friday night dinner in NYC at Otto Enoteca Pizzeria, was a memorable evening for sure. From the helpful friendly staff, the incredible food and the vibrant ambience, our eating experience was a success. We chose the pizza "Funghi & Taleggio" which had the best stone oven thin crust I have ever eaten and the pasta Taccozette con Stracotto, came highly recommended via Tripadvisor, and did not dissapoint. The olive oil gelati was to die for. The wine list is extensive and caters to all price levels. Noise levels are high and are not for faint of heart. Reminded me of being in Italy, once again. Thanks Otto Enoteca Pizzeria, we will be back one day.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Place for DinnerWent here for dinner on a weeknight and I wasn't disappointed. Grabbed a reservation through Open Table, and was happy that I did because it definitely seemed like you needed one or would be waiting a while. That aside the food was good, we got a pizza and pasta to share and it did the job quite well. Had an awesome ice cream (made of the flavors we picked). Was satisfied and would recommend it, just under $100 for 2 so I recommend it for a nice dinner.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat but gratingLoud and packed are the two words that spring to mind. Great food, but I wouldn't suffer thru the tourists and secretaries again for it. It was like eating dinner with a crowd of people waiting to go up to the top of the Empire State Building. That said, the truly excellent pizza is worth considering a late-night revisit when hopefully the hordes clear out. Huge wine list that you will order your usual pino grigio from.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything we had was goodEverything we had was good but nothing was outstanding. It was a fine meal but I would not go back. It is a large space and would be good for a large group. The location is great and the bar is fantastic.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMgood food, good valueMy friend and I both had pasta with a side of broccoii rabe to share. The portions were generous and the price very reasonable. And the food was delicious. I had a taste of my friend's sausage pasta, really al dente and you could tell that the sausage was home-made. I had a roast pork pasta which was also delicious, and a very generous portion (quartino) of wine. The only disappointment , which was good for my waistline, was that there was no dark chocolate dessert, so we skipped dessert. I would definitely go back for dinner. I understand that they have the same menu for dinner as for lunch, in which case the pasta at $10 each is a steal. Oh, one other thing: like many restaurants, they don't serve end pieces of bread. I like crust!!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a superb meal withWe had a superb meal with excellent wine recommended by our server. It's a trendy spot right off Washington Square, so it was packed with young families. (kids love pizza!) But we had reservations and were seated almost immediately. My only negative was the noise level.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was good exceptEverything was good except it was SO NOISY it was all but impossible to have a normal conversation at the table. I would only come here with close friends 'cause you have get up into people's faces to be heard4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGoodLove the food. Shared pizzas. Has an insane wine list. Our waiter was a little snobby good thing there was someone else always looking how our drinks were. I would always go back4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMPolite, enthusiastic service.Polite, enthusiastic service. Food is always good here and noise level is acceptable.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is delicious and consistentFood is delicious and consistent every time. The service is always super helpful and very friendly. Solid restaurant to go with a group of friends! Always on my list to return!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMawesome food. great placeawesome food. great place to take your kids for lunch and still feel like a grown-up4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGood for parties of 4 or 6Good for parties of 4 or 6 folks. I suggest going early because the place tend to get packed on Saturdays.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMPolitely RushedFood is always fresh and simply delicious! Great for a big group and sharing. Went on a Friday night and the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was that things felt rushed at times, but in a politely-rushed way, if that makes sense. I hate nothing more then eating course after course right after each other with no time to just relax and talk in between or when the minute you put your fork down someone is standing by to grab your plate. Our group wanted dessert but wanted a "breather" so we ordered a bottle of wine between dinner and dessert to slow things down a bit. Other then that the staff was very nice and accommodating.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI was part of a group of graduateI was part of a group of graduate students that took a visiting scholar here for lunch. The pasta dishes were delicious and so were the pizzas. Definitely recommend trying the olive oil gelato.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMLively, fun "pizza parlour" PLUSOtto is fun - we lucked out and got seats at the bar - one of the bar staff was a little arrogant and obviously wasn't having a good night however overall I thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine and ambience - noisy but fun.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMbe patient. it's worth the wait. This was our second visit. We made Open Table reservations for 8:30 and we still waited about an hour on a Tuesday evening. We didn't have anywhere to be after dinner so although mildly annoying it didn't ruin our evening. The service was excellent. The food was very good. We opted for the 2 meats, 3 cheeses and 2 vegetable options. Between the 2 of us we felt satiated but not overly stuffed and were able to get dessert. Gelati was excellent (chocolate, Caramel and coffee)...hazelnut was tempting but we were happy with these 3. Our waitress was very helpful with the wine list. It is very loud but manageable. Overall we'd recommend a visit. Expect to wait so be patient.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat meal!Visiting NYC from Boston and had dinner with my family there on a Saturday night. Every item we ate was excellent, from the antipasti through the main courses to the desert. Great service as well. I wish that they would open a sister restaurant at home!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMUnbelievable Margarita pizzaUnbelievable Margarita pizza (the best ever?), plus really fresh contemporary takes on pizza and pasta. Big fresh salads. Enormous and excellent Italian wine list.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways Reliable and DELICIOUS!Otto never disappoints and this recent visit was no exception! Everything is done perfectly there from the service to the food! Typically, there is a bit of a wait even with a reservation, but I don't usually mind since the wine bar is so nice and their wine menu is part of the experience there. However, this time I went on the earlier side (7p) and was seated immediately. Our waiter was prompt, friendly and very helpful. The food, as always, stole the show. Pizza (try the cacio pepe pizza), pasta and a cheese sampling is the perfect combo, topped off by AMAZING gelato in a unique selection of flavors (be sure to try the olive oil gelato as crazy as it sounds and the caramel). I will be back, as always!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMgood food at good prices forgood food at good prices for NY standards. a bit chaotic inside due to the popularity of the place and the relatively tight seating.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
