"Trust the crowd! We were visiting So Florida for the tennis tournament and were looking for someplace different for an early dinner and came across Otentic. We made our reservations based on on line reviews however when we arrived it was different than expected (don't judge a book by the cover). It is decidedly small, I believe 16 seats at tables and 5 at the bar in a strip of stores heavy on tattoo parlors and head shops.
Once you walk in to the casual setting you are magically transported to France.Wonderful service, a warm greeting, a pleasant welcome of a small portion of chardonnay with olive spread and toasted baguettes. A very reasonably priced menu from this family run restaurant and very delicious food.We had a terrific meal."

"We are in Miami at least once a month for a week or so....try to include Otentic every time. We're a senior couple (68)....and our adult children love it also....they're in their late 30's...everything we've had has been great...."

"We (four adults) arrived a few minutes early and our table wasn't ready. The owner asked us to sit at the bar and poured each of us a glass of white wine, compliments of the house. What a pleasant surprise! He was very gracious and, without wincing, let us practice our limited French. The food was excellent, from the starter, Escargots Bourguignonne, through the dessert (Creme Brulee). We ordered two bottles of wine with dinner since wine was so reasonably priced. It cost about $80 per couple for dinner with tip. The restaurant is very tiny but this lends to its ambience."

"The food was ok, not great. We had a chicken and fish dish, and they were cooked well. The portions are rather big. Beware though, the food is very heavy and greasy, so we left feeling very full."

"Right around the corner from me, but took me two years to go inside - not disappointed. Fish duo with the ratatouille turned into two meals for me. I'm iffy with ratatouille, but this was very good. The sauce on the fish duo made the dish. The ribeye the guy next to me was eating looked really delicious and he confirmed it was. Really wanted to indulge in creme brule or a crepe for dessert as other neighborhood diners sitting at the bar with me suggested, but I was too full. Will plan better next time."

Every single person I have taken there has loved the dining experience from beginning to end.
Of all the plethora of restaurants in Miami Beach, Otentic is the one I recommend above and beyond any other.

"I really loved this restaurant. It was a recommendation from our hotel concierge at Dream Hotel Miami (Thomas English), and it was amazing. the steak and fries was under $15, and the chocolate mousse was amazing as well! highly recommended!"
