  • "I come here mostly every sunday and every time I do come staff is wonderful. The food is excellent all the time. The manager is so friendly and nice. I always sit up at the bar and the bartender is always pleasant and nice! He is just wonderful. I will be back actually this sunday for Easter."

  • "My partner and I were very excited to come to OTD for date night dinner. But overall, we had a pretty negative experience. We didn't get our entrees until abut 55 minutes after being seated. Furthermore, this didn't seem to be an issue to any of the staff, including our waitress, who never apologized for the delay or even acknowledged it. The noise level was so loud it was it was distracting. My companion and I we were literally SHOUTING at each other, but I still had to ask "WHAT?" every time he said something. The food was...fine. Nothing special, didn't really feel worth the price. Due to the above issues, we passed on dessert and hit up the frozen yogurt place on Fillmore instead."

  • "The food at OTD continues to be fantastic. I love the flavors and freshness - yum. But acoustics certainly were not a consideration when they built this place, MUCH to the detriment of the enjoyment of their guests. This was my first trip to OTD for dinner in years, and now I know why (lunch is a bit less deafening). If anyone in your group is at all sensitive to noise or hard of hearing, I'd have to recommend a pass - would be unfortunate to miss the food, but it would be too unpleasant for them. This is not a place to have an enjoyable dinner where you can talk to your companions. Service remains spotty - very dependent upon your server. Ours was friendly and knowledgeable but a bit slow and inattentive. But oh the food!"

  • "Even though majority of the patrons of this restaurant are not Asian, this restaurant does churn out good Vietnamese food. Prices are higher than your typical Vietnamese restaurant but you also get the ambience and better ingredients. The service was very nice and quality of food is good. The only thing lacking is a full bar - they only offer wine and beer for alcohol."

Interesting pancakes, french toast, bread pudding, and the usual Vietnamese lunch favorites. I had egg white scramble with kale and mushrooms and sunchokes. So much fun. Wait staff is friendly and informative. We will return."

The cellophane crab dish was great but the pappaya salad needed more dressing or flavor. Desserts were better when Slanted Door was on Valencia. The ambience and service is great. We went on a Sunday, not sure if it makes a difference."
