  • "This is a pop up in Venice on Abbot Kinney that serves mostly seafood and some pizzas. The wife and I headed there on a Friday night before their official open. Yes, there were some some typical "soft launch" problems (if you've ever done that, you know what they are), but they didn't distract from the enjoyment of our meal. The food was very tasty, descently priced (IMHO) and the over-all attitude was very friendly. I recommend!"

  • "When I started chatting with Mario about Italian at the Saturday Santa Monica farmer's market, my ears perked up when he told me that some of my favorite Italian places didn't follow Italian tradition cooking. Hmmm. As we were parting, I discovered he was a partner at Barbershop. What an experience! It was one of the best meals I have had in a while. Mario remembered me and was an amazing host. The presentation of each plate was just in the online photos. The taste even more exquisite. The six course menu was unbelievable from the sweet shrimp to zitti with lamb ragu to a short rib with a sublime chocolate sauce finishing with a molecular meyer lemon sorbet. And yes, there is plenty to eat and drink! I am a big guy and left happ"

  • "A few dishes were good but everything was too precious. Left completely unsatisfied as we never thought we got a full bite of anything. Wine pairing is only drink option and was a joke. Tiniest pours ever, came at odd times (not with a new dish necessarily) and were so small they couldn't even be enjoyed fully even with the tiny bites."

  • "A very decent Pop Up concept only available for several more weeks at this location The chef and Front of House man Mario were both fantastic the food was delicious although tough to see since it was so dark in the dining room I was happy with everything I ate and would recommend it whole heartdly"
