Thankfully could not find reservations for Mother's day so went here. Glad we did. Service vastly improved and food was excellent. The Mokara Hotel & Spa advertises "complimentary" valet parking if you dine at Ostra, but don't let them see you take a walk on the riverwalk after dinner. We did, and when we returned we were told that since we left the property we would have to pay the $15.00 valet parking fee even though we spent $300.00 in their restauarnt. It's not about the $15.00, but the deceptive advertising. There are many other downtown SA restauarnts who validate your parking for the entire night in exchage for having dinner with them.
I'll dine elsewhere on my next trip to the riverwalk.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONEven though we live in San Antonio we had not been here before, it is a very nice spot on the river walk. The service was excelent, my wife tried the red snapper which she enjoyed a lot; the beef filet and lobster was outstanding. We got there early in the evening and enjoyed the serenity of ambiance. My expections of the evening were not only met but, far exceded. For dinner, had the grouper special. It was tasty. I will have it again. I will say the most exceptional part of the evening was the service. I feel that everyone went above and beyond, and always seemed to know what I needed before I did.
