  • "We have eaten here numerous times as we live withn 6 blocks...always misses the mark. Brunches have been full of great food and spotty or downright awful service and restaurant manager seems not to REALLY care or follow up. Last visit a waitress brought more tea when we specifically said not to and dropped the tea, glass and all on the table, covering the food and us in broken glass and tea. This time (been 3+ mo since that last visit) server was OK but took multiple tries to get more drink refills, dishes never cleared, etc. Manager greeted us and recalled last time, said he'd stop and see how they did this time and I'm still waiting for that to happen! We come for the food and try to ignore the staff as they are truly mediocre every time!"

  • "I was staying at the JW MArriott while attending a professional conference. I had breakfast here two days, lunch one day and dinner one day. Every time, i was seated promptly, service was attentive and informed, and the food was high quality. It was a great place to meet with colleagues and friends in between hectic conference activities. Quiet, convenient, and a good value. A friend with food allergies loved this place."

  • "I ate two lunches and one breakfast at Osteria Pronto. The lunch menu is excellent and the service was very good. At breakfast, the entire staff was grumpy and the breakfast buffet was very average. The omelette chef made an above average omelette. The price point was good for all meals."

  • "I grew up in Italy and go back often. I was raised on Italian food and Osteria Pronto delivered! Very good food and Chef Angelo is a warm and charming gentleman."

  • "My theory is that the restaurant staff don't expect repeat customers. They assume customers are from the hotel and treat everyone as though it doesn't matter if it is a good experience. We live nearby and have been several times just because of at location to other events. The food is consistently cold and poor quality. The service is always horrible. No sense of manners and table settings, no checking in to see if everything is ok. Just really bad."

  • "The starter, entrees, wine, and dessert were all excellent. We'll definitely return to sample more menu offerings. A special note on the service. Our server was ideal: efficient, polite, knowledgable, accessible, and timed each course perfectly. He was confident, not condescending. The superb service was greatly appreciated."

  • "Wait staff at lobby bar and Osteria Pronto were friendly and attentive, atmosphere comfortable and lively, and food delicious. Overall, a memorable late evening dinner experience."

  • "Although one in my party claimed the food was not quite up to the caliber of the "real" Little Italy, no one left the table unsatisfied. The appetizers were delicious, and I nearly ruined my appetite gorging on their scrumptious bread. The wine list is extensive, although they do not offer any ice wines, which is disappointing, especially in winter. However, the outstanding service more than made up for it! The food was very good, and I would definitely recommend the lasagna to anyone. They use a white cream sauce that lights up the taste buds in the most amazing way. Well done! A word to the vegetarians and vegans: this place takes special care to have options available for you. I will visit again for sure."

  • "We went on a Saturday evening around 6 and the place was lightly seated. We had very professional service that kept the water glasses filled, brought out all our requests in a short time, and informed us of the specials of the evening. (a little reserved, but some guests may prefer that.) The food was really tasty. I recommend the crab cake appetizer to start. I ordered one of the specials and was pleasantly satisfied (lemon pepper risotto with scallops.) The highlight of the evening was the dessert. I had the tiramisu while my guests split the chocolate lava cake. Both were excellent. I recommend this restaurant. Be sure to have them validate your parking if you use the garage beneath the hotel."

  • "Overall food was good. Salmon a 5 out of 5. Chicken Lemon was 3 out of 5 - overdone and a bit strong on toppings. Wine list was a nice surprise - found a great Pinot - Ertho"

  • "My husband and I were celebrating his birthday. I have eaten at Osteria Pronto on several occasions, but this was his first time. Every course was wonderful (calimari, meatballs, salad, sea bass, surf & turf daily special). They brought him a complimentary dessert because it was his birthday. They didn't rush our courses and we were allowed to relax and thoroughly enjoy the experience. Thank-you many times over. We will be returning soon and bringing friends."

  • "If you want to experience excellent, friendly service, topped with OUTSTANDING food and wine...then this is your place to go! The service is friendly, engaging, personal and very warm. The food is fresh and prepared with excellence and passion. Ambiance is modern, but personal. The wine list is very good. If you love Sea Bass..you won't taste any better than what is prepared here! This is a MUST GO TO restaurant!"

  • "This was a good place to eat. It was a but noisy, but that didn't bother me much. We inky ordered entrées because we had come from a conference with free drinks and appetizers. Really enjoyed the meal, and our service was outstanding."

  • "Unfortunately not the best when it came to the temperature of the food. We went there after the football game and they werent very busy right at the time. The food tasted great but luke warm at best."

  • "Good not Great. We had heard of others' experience being better. We went on New Year's Eve and may have not gotten the correct impression. Will try again on a more typical night."

  • "For the most part the food was very good as was the service. The restaurant lost some points on the appetizers. The appetizers were overdressed and they seemed like they were pre-plated. The main course and desserts were all very good. Kid friendly and great server."

  • "I was there with a group of give for lunch on December 20th. The service was very slow. We had a hard time getting the attention of waiter for basic refills, etc. This exemplifies the whole meal: we ordered coffee/tea with dessert. Those drinks came after dessert as served, almost when we were done! I don't know if the waiter was new, or just had too much going on with some other tables. I complained to the manager who offered a discount if we returned. For the money we spent (business holiday lunch), I would have expected a much more attentive level of service. Very overpriced for the service provided."

  • "We waited at the bar until our reservation time. It was quiet and the service was good. Neither of us had ever dined at Osteria Pronto before. Our waitress Sarah asked us had we dined there before and when we responded No she gave us some great history on the restaurant and the Chef. The appetizers were fresh and tasted great. Our dinner came out in a reasonable amount of time. It was fresh and very inviting. I will dine there again in the future."

  • "My hubs and I went to OP recently. He got the lamb chops, and I got the "seafood stew." not the actual name, but I forget the actual name. He loved his chops, but not the sauce they came in so much. My entree was very light, which was great. Tomato-based "sauce," that was more like a soup, full of yummy seafood: shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels, clams. Good stuff. Neither entree was very "Italian-y," but it was great nonetheless."

  • "Osteria Pronto continues to deliver authentic Cucina Italiana in a warm and comfortable setting. This visit included the antipasti plate and osso bucco, a chef's special. And in deed it was. Fork tender and yet still moist, it was straight from the Tuscan hillside. If you are in Indy and in search of a great meal, go straight to OP!"

  • "We dined with friends. The reservation was early so the restaurant was not busy, however, the service was slow, the server totally ignored one diner at the table when taking drink orders, we actually had to flag him down to get drinks. I found the food to be average and the menu selection to be limited. I would not recommend the restaurant to friends or family."

  • "In Indy for the Big Ten Championship game and the Green and White prevailed. JW was packed and looked like Christmas (all Green and Red team colors.) We had made a reservation which was a good thing and we were promptly seated. We were in a slight hurry to get to the game and they accommodated us well. Food was served promptly and was "hot" with the exception of my lasagna but they quickly remedy to my satisfaction with a fresh hot serving and it was very tasty. It is in a big hotel so keep that in mind (high ceilings and loud atmosphere) but perfect for "game day." We didn't realize it but we were told we could walk inside the entire way thru the labyrinth of the tunnel system and the convention center from the JW to the Stadium."

  • "We have gone to Chef Rino's cooking classes & eaten at Osteria Pronto a couple of times but this instance was disappointing. The caprese salad tomatoes were thin and not particularly tasty. The mozzarella was disappointing. The Caesar salad was so lightly dressed it was hard to tell there was dressing and where were the anchovies? My sea bass was fine but the risotto was too wet. My husband said his cioppino was ok but not as good as the last time he had ordered it. It was my daughter's 18th birthday and we told the waitress that as we sat down. It would have been nice for the restaurant to have stuck a candle in the chocolate cake dessert she ordered. I also didn't appreciate being asked for a review so the waitress could get $20."

  • "I was very pleased to hear the front desk agent say that Osteria Pronto "is the best Italian restaurant in Indianapolis." Osteria Pronto is OK. For a restaurant that claims to be "the best", I expect service, presentation, and flavors to match. I didn't have that experience at Pronto.Pros:the olive tapenade and salads. Cons:all hot dishes were cold:soup, pizza, pasta. My mom ordered the bison entrée with poached asparagus, cauliflower puree, &persimmon sauce-without the meat because she is vegetarian She received five small asparagus spears on top of cubed undressed carrots, and no sauce. When she questioned the server we were told "we are out":it was 6pm! The mgr.happened to stop by and helped us.The veggies were $20-ridiculous."
