This was our first time here for dinner. Totally blown away. We had been there for brunch once before and that was wonderful as well. Amazing food, wine, atmosphere and service. Absolutely loved it. I must pay special tribute to our waiter, Rob. He was so helpful about the menu and he really knew what he was talking about. Every single recommendation that he made was fabulous. If you go, try and get his station. It was apparent that he really loves his job. The pastas are insanely good; highly recommend.

Very lively spot! Staff very friendly. Food very good but limited to meat dishes. Lobster good though. We went for the wine dinner which was very good value with good wines and generous servings. Stuffed to the gills with all the food. Go hungry! Bit on the noisey side and very big and crowded so don't go for a quite night! Worth a go for the experience.

Reminded us of when we were in Italy. Everything was delicious. We did the 4 course experience and so glad we did! The cheese/meat platter (prosciutto and pecorino), ravioli in truffle cream sauce, sea bass were perfect. Enjoy!

Love the squid ink pasta. It looked bland but every bite www a burst of flavor. Shares the grilled seafood plate - the scallop sausage is a pleasant surprise. Stuffed squid was very good too. Chocolate tart dessert was so good I kept stuffing it in even though I was full to the brim.

  • The pasta made my melt mouth & Spacious Tables

The first thing you notice when you sit down here is how spacious the tables are. In New York, a land where you're supposed to eat on top of each other without eavesdropping, an appropriate amount of table space is hard to come by. The second thing you notice is the fact that EVERYTHING you eat melts in your mouth. It was the kind of pasta that you wanted to savor, but physically couldn't stop yourself from devouring. The wait staff is incredibly attentive, the bread is fabulous, and I simply don't have a single bad thing to say about my time there.

My husband and I dined here recently. The food was really good, especially the crostini and my pasta dish was fabulous. I was really disappointed towards the end of our meal though when the restaurant, or possibly just our section of it, got very cold. When we questioned this with the staff, the response was a dismissive "but was your food ok?" I was very disappointed by this as it was so uncomfortably cold, we spotted a number of other tables where diners were also putting on jackets and scarves to warm up. We were also given our bill before we had asked for it, and were not asked if we wanted any coffees or anything else. It felt like the staff were trying to get rid of us. Overall, good food but poor experience.

I was blown away by the food and service at this little gem in Soho. I was expecting the restaurant to have a funkier design and it felt family friendly rather than edgy SoHo but once the food started coming, it didn't matter. The squid ink calamari on a bed of polenta to start was amazing as well as a selection of meats and cheeses. I had the capaletti (sp?) with black truffle and it was to die for. Wine was from Piemonte region of Italy and our server Madelina was excellent, and made two great recommendations in the sixty dollar range.

Food was mediocre and pricey. Drinks were expensive for manhattan and were half the size of any cocktail or glass of wine. Wine comes in a tiny cruet that they pour into your glass and its embarassing. waiter apologized. nine dollars for three thin triangles of cheese you would find in an oscar meyer lunch. really.

I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. The food was incredible, ordered the bomba di riso to start and it was amazing. The oxtail just melts in your mouth and the fried egg to top it is perfect. For the mains, had the garganelli and cappelletti and they were amongst the pastas I've ever had. Finished off with zabaglione mousse due to a great recommendation from our server and it was divine. Must try!

One of the better quality Italian restaurants in the city. Place was still crowded and lively at 10pm on a Saturday night. The calamari and meat/cheese appetizers were simply done and incredibly fresh and flavorful. The handmade pasta dishes were also well done - except the vongole which fell slightly short of expectations. The cocktails were also simple yet done really well. Very extensive wine list from various parts of Italy. Great place for a special occasion or intimate gathering. Highly recommend!

I've eaten at many of Michael White's restaurants before and have always had a really good meal and a pleasant dining experience. In fact, I ate at Osteria Morini when it first opened and thought the food was really good [although the noise level made conversation a challenge.] This time food was really bad--the pasta Vongole was pretty tasteless [the pasta itself reminded me of ramen noodles.] The pork chop has huge globs of fat and little meat.

The Petroniana (veal cutlets ) was large portion of veal perfectly prepared. The three dishes and two bourbons cost $98, a bargain for such a great meal wherever you are and a miracle in NYC

Atmosphere and decor are a recreation of old time Italian restaurants. But the cooking is modern and excellent. We stuck to apps and pastas as our main courses due to a late lunch elsewhere so se did not sample the main courses but the house-made pastas were uniformly excellent and creative. Our server was well-informed and very helpful. We will be back to delve deeper into the menu.

I recently came to Osteria Morini for dinner with my boyfriend. Upon entering, we were greeted and brought to our table. The table unfortunately was placed in front of the kitchen door.. We didn't exactly like the loudness and the people running in and out, so we asked a passing waitress if it was possible to be seated at another table. She went to ask the maitre d' who came over and told us we could be moved over to a quieter table. We thanked her and tried to explain the loudness and she kind of just responded with, "Okay." I thought that was a little rude, but regardless we liked our new table and, more importantly, the food was excellent. Our waitress could have been a little friendlier though. Like the maitre d', she was rude.
