  • Special Events & Promotions: We are serving a 4-course pre fix menu for Monday February 13th and Tuesday February 14th in recognition of Valentine's Day. It is $75 per person with a choice of appetizer, pasta, entree, and dessert from our regular dinner menu. We will also be offering specials that can also be included in the price-fixed menu. We will not be offering an a la carte dinner menu on these dates.

  • "I am very discerning when it comes to Italian food, and have eaten great pastas throughout NYC. The food at Moroni is spectacular. The pastas were cooked to perfection. The vongole was one of the best I ever tasted. The calamari appetizer was executed perfectly, dusted with breadcrumbs and parmesam, then pan seared. The waiter was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The veal cutlet was perfect. I cannot recommend this restaurant strongly enoigh."

  • "We hadn't been here for some time and were very pleasantly surprised. The chairs though are still excruciatingly uncomfortable..ask for a cushion right away-especially if you are a little old. Great seafood salad. Big chucks of shrimp, scallops and other stuff that was sparkling fresh and lemony. It just needed a shot of freshly ground pepper and a pepper mill is actually on the table! The pastas are as good as Italy. Not too saucy-just perfect. The spaghetti with vongole was lovely! There is a reason Michael White is successful!"

  • "We had 600pm reservations and when 2 of 4 showed up at 610 we were told they can only hold the resv for 15 mins. Nice start Our other 2 made it by 615 and an argument was avoided. Wedged into our table, we tried to order an antipasti course, but were told "chef prefers the entire order be put in at one time" chef prefers?- is he buying? - strike 2 Cheese and meat plate was amazing, really. Entrees were all well received but no one was raving. My fried lamp chop was strange, I wont say it wasn't good, i will say it wasn't great. At 8, while we were enjoying good conversation, we were interrupted and told "we do have a later reservation if you'd like to go to the bar" This was BEFORE we were served the check. Strike 3 I'm afraid. Wont be back"

  • "I would highly recommend this Italian restaurant in SoHo! The service was a little slow, but friendly. Decor is nice and the restaurant is a good size but feels cozy. The chairs were a little low for the table we sat at, but they provided us with cushions which helped. We enjoyed a meat and cheese board as an appetizer, which was delicious. One meat and two cheeses was a perfect amount for four of us. The portion sizes of the entrees were pleasingly reasonable. Most Italian restaurants serve far too much pasta, whereas this restaurant chooses quality over quantity. The portions were the perfect amount of food. We even had room for lively little deserts."

  • "For 1,000 OT dining points, this place was really good; food was super yummy, albeit not in the largest of portions (appetizer split between two will help). The service was alright, nothing terrible, nothing great - the restaurant was pretty empty and they tried to take my girlfriend's plate twice while she was still eating (although she was talking to me). Atmosphere is warm and romantic, neighborhood gem for sure. Saw a couple of real Italian-American families eating here, so that always makes you feel like the food is good. I had the pork sausage macaroni pasta, my girlfriend had the squid ink pasta (can't remember either menu name), but we both really liked. 3.5 / 5 for me - the food is the best part."

  • "We can't remember ever finding ravioli this good since Buca Giovanni's closed in San Francisco. These are even better. The elegant and delicate pasta pillows oozing with buratta in a butter, sage sauce were out of this world. The main courses were good, and the wine list was good and fairly priced, given the Manhattan location. Without any hesitation, one of the best genuine Italian restaurants featuring the cooking of Emilia Romagna ever, surpassing many we've tried in the old country."

  • "Michael White has created a reasonably-priced informal space on the eastern edge of Soho where the food is invariably excellent, the service is fine and the atmosphere is friendly. You simply couldn't ask for a better place to have lunch with a good friend with whom you enjoy talking without needing to shout, and the tables are large enough and reasonably spaced so that you never feel cramped. While I've never been to dinner here, I can imagine it could get noisy because of the bar but other reviewers will speak to that. My favorite pasta is the gramigna--it's taste never gets old no matter how often I eat it, and that's fairly often, every three weeks or so!"

  • "For a friend's birthday, we decided to go to Osteria Morini. We had an 8:30 reservation but we weren't seated until closer to 9:30. It was one of the longest waits I've ever had for a reserved table. The hostess and manager were very apologetic and brought us glasses of sparkling wine. When we finally sat, the service and food were fantastic. Overall, the food was the highlight of the meal. I would definitely like to go back for the food, but hopefully there will be better turn over of the tables and therefore not such a long wait for a reservation."

  • "My friend and I started off with the prosciutto and a few cheeses, not good. The prosciutto tasted funny and the cheeses were not great. I had the linguine with clams and my friend had the lasagna. My dish was extremely bland and the presentation was awful. My roommate did not like the lasagna, very bland and the presentation was sloppy. The service was strange, our waitor disappeared half way through dinner and we ended up with someone else, who wasn't particularly interested in waiting on us. Also, it's expensive for not great food, I would say there are way better restaurants in that neighborhood."
