Osteria Morini, first introduced in 2010 to New York’s Soho neighborhood, was conceived from Chef Michael White’s dream to bring the same soulful cuisine and convivial spirit of Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region to the United States. After making our original home in Soho, in downtown Manhattan we thought it was time to share the love with the Garden State. Chef Michael White and the Altamarea Group have always made a commitment to bring top quality food from New York to New Jersey.   • "Next to a CVS, you would never know that they had a great wine list and yummy food. We had a cheese/meat/veg app and I had pasta for dinner. Took my team out to a nice dinner and we had a lovely time. The service took a little time. While we ordered bottled still water, they refilled us with tap w/o asking. Not a big deal, but it's the little things. Like I said - very nice place and good food. I like little surprises like that in odd locations. This place met that."

  • "Dinner for two - opted to split a pasta as the appetizer. Ordered the Garganelli, based on another reviewer's comments. It was fantastic - truffle butter, mushrooms, and prosciutto really jazz up the penne pasta. For the main course, chose the Branzino and the Salmone. Both were prepared and presented exceptionally well, tasty, and the accompanying sides perfecty matched the fish. We will be back."

The chicken sandwich (can't remember the exact name) was way too creamy with chicken that was over cooked. I was very disappointed and will likely not go back."

  • "My husband and I dined here for the first time on NYE and it was an excellent choice. They had a special menu for the night and there were many choices. Standout items of the night: meatball appetizer (probably the best meatball I've ever had in my life) and the Garganelli, which was outstanding - fresh and homemade. The inside is very nice and has a romantic feel. I would definitely recommend this place for a romantic night out. But I do have one criticism - the chairs were really uncomfortable. They cut right into the middle of your leg and they're too high - I'm a pretty average height at 5'5" and only my toes touched the floor!"

  • "My husband and I decided to take day off from our busy photography business and chose Bernardsville. I read about about the Osteria and decided to give it a try. It was a little difficult to find, tucked behind a CVS., but worth the effort. We were heartily greeted by the owner, promptly seated and given attentive service by our waiter. He was quite knowledgeable, too. The draft beer was great,Chianti, great, too. I ordered a ragu with tagliatelle, typical of the Emiglia-Romagna region. It was scrumptious. My husband ordered a panini-salad combo. The salad was good, but he said the panini was a little dry. We topped off our meal with capuccinos which tasted like the ones in Italy. All in all a great restaurant find!"

  • "Fairly empty on a weekend evening. The renovated space has lost its charm. Chairs are singularly uncomfortable. Greeting was prefuntory. Only the server seemed to speak reasonable english. Pizzaette appetizer has the same consistency as a chain outlet pizza. Agnolotti was flavorless. Branzino was well prepared (needed salt), but bread "crumbs" were odd and the accompanying arugula sald was too salty to eat (and I love salty food). No starch? Due Terre (once in this space) was my favorite local restaurant. The makeover, both the room and menu, is a disappointment. Visited twice with similar experience."

  • "Experienced brunch at OM for the first time and was very disappointed. The service was slow and inattentive water refills were scarce and it took over 40 minutes to get our food. After being told the branzino was a whole fish I received only the tail end. OM's Branzino description:oven baked sea bass, salsa verde, arugula, lemon...the last time I checked salsa verde is either a tomatillo sauce or an Italian sauce made with olive oil, garlic, capers, anchovies, vinegar or lemon juice, and parsley but not overly seasoned panko breadcrumbs. this is a light fish and therefore impossible to taste the fish as a result of the over-seasoning. I was also expecting it on a bed of arugula not an undressed arugula salad with 5 whole chili peppers."
