A traditional Italian Osteria, where you can choose from our homemade pastas, thin crust pizzas, or wood grilled meats and fish.
Inspired by Osteria Philadelphia, our Moorestown Mall location is classically designed to have a warm, evocative feel in an industrial setting. With wine-red-stained concrete floors, a gleaming vintage Faema coffee machine, solid antique pine country tables and a wall of beautifully stained wine boxes. Additionally, the menu changes seasonally, to go with our 100 bottle Italian wine list featuring grapes from Trentino to Sicily and all stops in between.Continued

  • "We dined at Osteria during Restaurant Week - 3 courses for $35. We really enjoyed the margherita and parma pizzas. The entrees were well prepared. We noticed that all the other tables had metal buckets that contained bread and breadsticks and a metal olive oil pitcher. As a result of poor service, we did not receive the bread or the oil which was disappointing. Overall it was a good experience."

  • "By chance we were there on restaurant week. With no soft surfaces in the room, it was very noisy that evening. Not great for conversation but the food was excellent. Our only complaint was that we are not "foodies" and could have used an explanation of what some of the menu items were. Be sure to try some of the great desserts."

I was really hoping for something creative and fun from them. But they simply labelled the left side of the menu as Course 1 and the right side of the menu as Course 2. So huge pizza and steak :/"

  • "We snuck in last minute for an early dinner celebrating my Mother's 70th Birthday. It was restaurant week and the menu was terrific. I asked the sommelier to suggest something to go with my fusilli with fava beans and mint and she quickly offered an excellent sparking lumbrusco rose. It was perfect. They even had a few fitting dishes for my 5 year old. Everyone loved their meal and my 86 year old Italian Father said, "this is the best meal I've had out in a long time." That's actually the only review you need! A great time for us all!"

  • "Great dinner at Osteria during PREIT Restaurant Week. Would love to be able to say we will be back often, because the food was phenomenal. But normal cost of dinner for two plus drinks will certainly be over $100, and that puts Osteria in the "special treat" category rather than being our "go-to" place every other week. You get what you pay for!!! It is fabulous."

  • "A bit noisy, but a great staff. The restaurant is located in a mall, and has both indoor and some outdoor seating. The pancetta wrapped snails with spinach potato purée was fantastic. The snapper with escarole, cannelloni beans and olives was very good. Not quite sure how to attack the pis skin. Good portions and unfortunately no room for dessert. The coffee and cappuccino were very tasty."

  • "Once we were seated we totally forgot that we were eating in a mall. Osteria was so charming, the food so beautifully served and delicious that we felt we were in downtown Philadelphia. You can spend a lot, which we did, eating appetizer's, main courses and dessert, or a little sharing a pizza and 1 dessert, which the couple next to us did. The service was superb from the busboy to the servers to the waitress who took the order."

  • "I expected more from Marc Vetri. I ordered the rabbit. It was so over-spiced with rosemary that the taste of rosemary dominated the dish, like eating a rosemary plant. Worse yet, there were small shards of bone throughout the dish, making it nearly impossible to eat. I have NEVER complained at a restaurant - I generally just live and learn and not go back - but this time I mentioned the issue to my waitress, which I did very quietly so others did not hear me. The waitress asked if I was OK and then left the table. The manager came over, asked the same question, and then told me the beer I had ordered was on the house. Huh? My beer was fine. It was my dinner that was terrible. Will never go back to this restaurant."

  • "We decided to bring the kids along for a "nice" dinner to Osteria at the Moorestown Mall. Even with happy hour ($5 wine and great $7 cocktail), one shared appetizer and two shared desserts--we still were looking at $200 with tip (two adults and two kids). We remarked to ourselves how the Osteria option provided a high end alternative to chains at the Cherry Hill Mall (along now with Distrito next door). And that is a good thing. The food is excellent; the service improved (from our last visit). It is a worthwhile spend when looking for a quality dining experience in South Jersey."

  • "Don't let the mall location deceive you...this is great food....even if you do have to walk through the mall! We chose the Moorestown location because we felt the traffic & parking would be less of a hassle. The menu is fantastic! Cocktails fabulous! I enjoyed the Cotechino & the roasted suckling pig (they had me at "crispy skin"!). My fiance ordered the pig trotter cavatelli & the chicken liver rigatoni & then the skirt steak which was the only thing he was kinda disappointed about. The menu said it came with ramps, but his was served with green onions. We realize July is past prime ramp season, but it was the whole reason he chose that dish. For dessert, the budino & salted caramel butterscotch zuppa...both yummy! Would return!"

  • "This was my first time for brunch at Osteria and I'll definitely be going back because there were so many other things I wanted to try. The lemon pancakes filled with ricotta and topped with strawberry maple syrup were amazing. So was the cotechino sausage with fried egg on polenta. Definitely not your typical buffet brunch experience."

We brought my in-laws and my wife's grandmother with us this time around - a tough crowd, to be sure! My in-laws are foodies, but my wife's grandmother is a very picky (and simple) eater. Everyone was able to find something on this menu that they LOVED!"

  • "The service was appallingly slow, and our server seemed completely uninterested in us. We waited lengthy intervals to order and receive each course. Despite a discussion of "medium rare," one of the two "medium rare" skirt steaks that we ordered was extremely overcooked. A manager arranged to have us share one while a second was prepared, but after such a delay, it was too little, too late. It was ages before we were offered coffee and dessert; when we had finished coffee with no sign of dessert, we canceled dessert and had another long wait for the check. The bright spot was the wine steward and the excellent wine he helped us choose. If I ever return I will choose a nice bottle of wine and a pizza, and eschew the more complicated dishes."

  • "Most of our party complained about the noise level, but the dishes I tried were up to expectations, for the most part. Grilled vegetable salad was just as tasty as our server promised, the veal ragu and beet/chèvre ravioli delicious, but the favorite at the table was the rabbit and polenta. SO tasty, and nothing I'd ever make at home! The salmon/spring pea cannelloni were not what I was hoping for... Peas did not seem like fresh spring peas, and the pasta was crispy and dry... Not the traditional presentation. Overall, an enjoyable evening and would go back for a special occasion."

Nevertheless, we were greeted promptly and shown to our corner table, which was perfect for just the two of us. Our server, Aimee, was very attentive and answered all of our questions (she definitely knew the menu - for me, a very important trait in wait staff). Having dined at Osteria in Philly, my expectations were already set and then met. The special cold grilled vegetable antipasto hit the spot on a hot day and the octopus pizza was a nice complement - the chile makes the pizza."

  • "All of the food was really great; well prepared, attractively plated and served well. We recommend that you strongly consider the specials; the cold vegetable salad antipasto gave everyone at the table something they really liked. The suckling pig special was really outstanding as well. The portions were not so immense that you couldn't leave room for dessert - and dessert was definitely worth saving space for. All in all it was an excellent dining experience."

  • "For a high class restaurant I don't want to sit on wooden benches or chairs. Squirmin' and wormin' all night long. And the prices are way too high! That said, the food was very good albeit super Sicilian! At my age just give me the biggest bang for the buck - we spent $142 for two and I would say it was worth about $92. Sometimes (every once in a while) you get what you pay for, because most of the time you pay too much!"

  • "Our first visit to this restaurant was a few weeks ago. The food and service were outstanding. We were seated in the very front of the restaurant, looking out onto the mall parking lot. Frankly, for a restaurant at this price point, ambiance (including the view) is a significant part of the dining experience, With a view like that, they should have blinds on the windows and keep them closed. On our return visit, on 6/7, we were seated in a small, almost private room off of the bar. There were no windows, so there was no issue of the view. The decor, however, does not convey the impression that dinner at Osteria is a "special occasion". Fortunately, Chef Vetri's artfully created and prepared food makes up for any other shortcomings."

  • "8 of us tried this new restaurant at the Moorestown Mall. With the tip, we were close to $700.00!!! Wow, a little on the high side, but that included 2 really good bottles of wine, 1 cocktail, 4 beers and 2 grappas!! The food was amazing. Looked beautiful and tasted even better. We tried a raw tuna app, large roasted vegetable app that came served family style, 2 different pizzas, ravioli, salmon, pasta and a roast pork dish with chunks of pork, ribs and crackling. The sides, desserts and coffee were great, as well. Our Server, Shyama, was on top of everything! I can't wait to go back!!"

Being Saturday night it was crowded but the space is very tight and we almost had to shout to make ourselves heard. Were it not for the bright setting sun we would have asked to be seated outside.
