Since 1998, our philosophy has been an unyielding commitment to quality and authenticity. Chef Sabrina Tinsley prepares all items from scratch, using whole foods and house-made stocks. You will never find artificial or chemical food enhancers in our kitchen…ever. What you will find is the highest quality olive oil, delectable cheeses and cured meats, seasonal vegetables, flavorful sauces, handmade pastas and more. We believe in local, organic, and sustainable, and our meats are hormone and antibiotic free.We also offer several vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free items to those with dietary restrictions.

You'll love our atmosphere as much as the food! We are located in the artfully renovated Piston & Ring building; its rustic-elegant design is warm enough for family, yet cool enough for a date.

  • "I have been to La Spiga five or six times. I chose to bring out of town business guests this time. The first two wines we requested off the wine list they no longer had. Our food came at different times (although the staff was very apologetic). Even with that, a couple of the pasta dishes were almost cold. The food was good, but not as impressive as I have experienced in previous times. Nonetheless, I would still recommend La Spiga and hope that my next experience is back at the level I have come to expect."

  • "While the fritto misto & roasted turnips were good, they paled in comparison to the tortelli erbe (stuffed with ricotta & spinach in a delicious sage butter sauce). A small ramekin of freshly grated parmesan was placed at the table, so I could add as much as I wanted without judgement. Usually, I enjoy a healthy amount of parmesan on my pasta, but this is the only time I have ever forgotten that it existed. The tortelli and the sage butter were so perfect that nothing else was needed. Half way through, I realized that I had not added any cheese to my plate and grudgingly added a small amount to my next tortelli. Completely unnecessary. The little ramekin remained in the middle of the table untouched for the rest of the meal. Divine."

  • "I have visited La Spiga three times and each time, it was SO worth it. The staff was friendly and helpful, no matter how many times we asked for something (i mean a different thing each time). Each dish ordered by each individual was delish (we shared bites) and a couple people changed their mind about how they liked (had not before) something. I highly recommend the gnocchi and the lasagne. On Thursday the 17th, the salads were so fresh you would think they had just picked the lettuce. We will be back on our next annual visit to Seattle."

  • "My mom and I enjoyed dinner here last Saturday when we were visiting Seattle. The food was fantastic. We had an heirloom tomato salad to start and we both ordered pasta for our entree. We cleaned our plates and it was truly delicious. We had the hazelnut meringue with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert. I thought it was good but nothing over the top. Would definitely go back again next time we are in town. Wonderful and attentive service."

  • "This was my second meal at Spiga, my first was excellent. However this time several of the dishes were disappointing. The lasagna was very flavorful but the pasta was a bit soggy. I also ordered the veal and was served the pork sausage and did realize I had been served the wrong dish until days later when I reviewed the menu. I thought it was unusual to serve the veal ground. My bad for not paying enough attention and sending it back. the two pasta dishes we ordered were very good (Strozzapreti and Tagliatelle al Burro di Tartufo ).Waiter also recommended a very nice wine as well. Not sure if I will go back or not."

You know you have someone who knows what they're doing when, despite it being highly probable Italian isn't their native tongue, the pronunciation of each dish and drink is flawless. Beautiful."

  • "This was our first time at La Spiga. The atmosphere is interesting, pleasant and inviting. The wines offered were superior. The cheese plate was excellent. My lamb rack was good to very good. My wife's veal dish was unacceptable. Taste being as subjective as it is, both of us found the combination of ground veal and thin slices of veal odd to begin with, but the true problem was the taste - it was bad. We had been told it is hit or miss at La Spiga, and one of our entrees was a complete whiff. It s important for us to say that our waitperson, Chester was truly outstanding. We'll give La Spiga another chance, but with all of the wonderful other choices in area restaurants, La Spiga has no room for more misses like we experienced."

  • "Our service, appetizers, salad, and wine were all fantastic until the main meal arrived. My father ordered a medium-rare steak that arrived more medium-well. Unfortunately our waitress never came back to our table during the whole meal, so we had no chance to tell her that meat wasn't cooked correctly. He waited to get her attention for 10 minutes but eventually decided to just eat. She came back as we finished to offer us dessert and we told her about the meat. She was very polite, but only offered us dessert comped...really not sufficient in my opinion. I would have just preferred she came back sometime during our actual meal to ask how things were tasting."

  • "Service was outstanding. Not too solicitous, not too aloof. Just right and very knowledgeable about the wine list. The food was..eh..okay I'm sorry to say. We woofed down the several antipasti - nicely done and satisfying. I had the special pasta of the day - handmade pappardelle. Sounded promising but came to the table a little too long after leaving the pot...the pasta stuck together having absorbed all the sauce turning it grey. Another had the special ravioli stuffed with lamb. Tasted great, but way too many 'caramelized shallot', which were really sautéed to to the point of mush and far too much for the plate. Nonetheless, the tastes were really good, just not executed to the high standard I'd hoped for."

  • "We went it for an early Mother's Day dinner, a 5:00 reservation. The atmosphere is ok. It has the trendy modern look common to urban restaurants these days. The doors opened at 5 so we were seated right away but at the back of the restaurant overlooking construction of an expansion along with another building going up. The waiter acknowleged us promptly but after that things slowed down dramatically. It was an hour before we got our appetizer and main course came 45 minutes after that. We weren't in a huge rush but expected a quicker dinner considering how early we arrived. The food was good but was somewhat overshadowed by how long we had to wait."

  • "Usually La Spiga is great all around. The night we ate there, however, most of the regular staff were off. Our server was quite busy, but nonetheless, the service we got was disappointing. The server could also use some training. We got a bottle of wine and asked for it to be decanted to help it open. She opened the bottle, allowed a taste to approve, and then up-ended the bottle vertically to glug-glug into the decanter. It was a younger wine, so sediment wasn't the issue (thankfully), but breathing. I guess the technique helped in that regard, but it was still unsettling to have wine treated that way in a nice restaurant. The food was great; we sampled a few appetizers, pastas, mains, and desserts."

  • "First and Foremost, the food was AMAZING! We had a delicious meal and tasty cocktails. This is one of the best meals I have had in Seattle! Now, if you are looking for good service, we did not have it. The drinks took forever and we were not check on till we were almost done eating......that being said, it was busy! Also, be warned the wine pour by the glass is REALLY SMALL, so go with the bottle and you will get more wine for your buck. Overall this restaurant was fabulous and it is worth it for the food and the cool atmosphere! "

  • "I have heard such good things of the retsaurant and so was excited to try it. Unfortunately, eating for Restaurant week week last night was very different. The food was so bland and unnappetising. The selection options lacked variety in the mains and the best part was a sorbet! Super disappointed. I believe restaurant week should showcase your best .. this I hope was not it:("

  • "My partner and I enjoyed dinner here for Seattle Restaurant Week. I was impressed with the menu selections available for the promotion, and I was satisfied with my own selection. I had the beet salad to start, which was a pretty generic beet salad, but definitely a good-sized portion. My partner had a polenta, sausage, mushroom starter that was also very good and hearty. My entree was milk-braised pork cheeks which were definitely good! My date had a wild board pasta with peas that was also delicious. Dessert was great, and so were the cocktails we ordered to accompany our meal. I would reccommend this for a nice date spot before a night on the town."

  • "Tried it during R-Week & were disappointed. Not as good as others we tried during DineAroundSeattle. STARTERS: Beet, orange & olive salad was good. Fried polenta w/ mushrooms & sausage - drowned in grease & tiny compared to the salad - Mushrooms were good. MAINS: Tagliatelle w/ wild boar was boring - noodles barely linguini wide, meat while tender was bland, the sauce non-existent (take a lesson from R-Zoe - your meat in their sauce). Gnocchi, beans & pork belly was good - not special. Fresh grated cheese outstanding. DESERT: Panna cotta - OK. Mango sorbet Good - would be great w/ shortbread cookie on the side. Buss/water boy better than waiter. With so many other great places near by - we not likely to go back any time soon."

  • "Went to La Spiga years ago but didn't feel the meal was memorable. Decided to try it again for the 3 for $28 Restaurant Week. The portions were generous and tasty. My beet salad was excellent as was the Tagliatelle and panna cotta. Will definitely go again."

  • "We came back for the pasta with truffle butter and the beautiful space. Used to love the food when it first opened. Since then , it has been a little inconsistent. Our pasta was not as warm as i would have liked (and not as fresh tasting as i remember) but crostini was delicious. They need to get it back to how it was and then it will be worth the price."

  • "I've been to OLaS a few times, but it really isn't anything special. The portion sizes are small and the food is unremarkable. I foolishly ordered something without examining it and ended up pay $15 for a very lack luster bowl of chicken broth. My fellow diners had similar feelings about their menu choices. The setting at OLaS is nice. There is a ton of open space that I didn't know existed. It would be a great spot to host a party (assuming you could choose the food). They also had live jazz the night I visited, which was a treat."
