The food is outstanding, the restaurant attractive, spacious and comfortable, with tables not too close together so you can have easy conversation at your table. I ordered the same thing I had the last time I was there a couple of months ago: lasagna with eggplant. The pasta and the eggplant slices are very thin, covered with a very tasty sauce. I'm not a foodie so I don't remember what was in it but, even though the menu has many other attractive things on it, I'm likely to have that eggplant lasagna again the next time I'm there. It is so good!

Excellent find. Food and cocktails were fabulous. Antipasti plate were amazingly delicious and the steak perfectly prepared. We will be back when we are in town next. My ownly complaint would be that the lighting over the tables is very harsh.

I had not eaten at this restaurant in a couple of years, but had dinner with friends recently on a Thursday night. The food and drinks took a very long time eventhough the restaurant wasn't very crowded. Finally, the food came. The pasta special that I ordered was under seasoned and my friend's braised pork paperdelle was barely warm, noodles stuck together, gummy to chew and had only one bite of braised pork in it. We sent it back. Our server commented that the dish had looked different than it usually did and asked if my friend wanted something else. Because everything took so long my friend declined. The server also stated that she brought the dish knowing it looked different than how that plate is supposed to be. Stay away from here.

Upon a out-of-town friend's recommendation I returned to La Spiga for my birthday dinner with a group of friends, and was not disappointed--the staff was friendly and the food was delicious. We started off with a few antipasti for the table, and I got the salmon special for the evening with a side house salad. The antipasti portions were average, but the entree portion was definitely on the lighter side. The server was even able to recommend a decent wine pairing with dinner which I appreciated. My only disappointment was that we had reservations for 8:15PM, but were not seated until about 8:40PM. However, I would return to the restaurant for the food, and would be curious to try their other entree offerings.

We had a delightful lunch here - the eggplant lasagna is really special. It was pretty quiet at lunch time, very pleasant. But I've been here at night when it was packed, and the noise bounces off all the hard services. The have an excellent list of wines by the glass, and the proprietor really knows his Italian wines. His advice was much appreciated. Our server was superb - attentive without being intrusive.

We brought a guest from Japan to dinner here and had a wonderful meal. The specials were fresh, interesting and generously-sized portions. The gnocchi was delicate and melt in your mouth luscious. The risotto was creamy and sauced/seasoned with restraint. The wine list was great -- things you don't often see on restaurant menus, a white from Terlaner in the Alto Adige region of Northern Italy and a lovely Barbera from La Spinetta in Piemonte. The desserts were tasty and the espresso well-made and rich. Service was attentive but not overly/annoying. All in all a delightful evening of memorable food. We will return!

My husband had good memories of previous dinners at La Spiga and so offered it as a choice for our anniversary dinner recently. Good one! Food was excellent--we skipped pastas. Wine advice was good and waiter friendly and professional. Noise level on a Thu eve was lower than on previous occasions. Deck was booked for a private event or we would have enjoyed trying it. Tiramisu was a lovely dessert--owner's mother's recipe, I think.

We celebrated my birthday at La Spiga and ordered 1 wine, 5 different entrees and 3 different desserts with some fantastic suggestions from our very helpful server/waitress. Everything was delicious! We shared our entrees and desserts and loved the varied tastes and preparations. The server made it very easy to share our food by providing plates. The wait staff also found and lit a candle for our birthday dessert. A very satisfactory birthday dinner!

I've dined at La Spiga numerous times, in small groups and in large groups, and it has always been great; however, Sunday night was a major disappointment. My uncle and his 80 year old brother were visiting, and we took them here for the final evening's dinner. The table wasn't ready, and I asked to be moved as we weren't going to squeeze into a booth and have someone sticking out on the end. There was much confusion and we were led to another table; however, no one acknowledged us for several minutes, and I had to ask for menus. I also had to move drapes to keep the sun out of our guests' eyes. We all generally felt that the staff was slow, we sat with dirty plates in front of us for quite some time, etc. No longer my "go-to" place.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. They've been around for about 15 years now so they don't have as much buzz as some places but they are very consistent in providing a great dinner. Our waiter was knowledgeable and fun to work with. The restaurant is big and spacious and had live trumpet music. The food is the best part. Everything tastes very authentic and both the primis and secondis are rich in flavor and tender in texture.

We really love the food at La Spiga. Every dish we had there was wonderful. The pasta is delicious and the cauliflower was too. I can't remember ever having a better tasting Caprese either. We were a party of four - two older teenagers and two adults - and everyone enjoyed the meal tremendously. They also have very good cocktails.

My wife and I went there on the recommendation of our hotel Cocierge. Well prepared food with reasonable sized portions. We each had salad with a pasta course, both were delicious, my bolonaise was excellent. The dessert gelato was a spicey pepper and didn't work. But it was made up for by a great cherry port. A very nice find for a neighborhood restaurant. Joevet

I have been to La Spiga five or six times. I chose to bring out of town business guests this time. The first two wines we requested off the wine list they no longer had. Our food came at different times (although the staff was very apologetic). Even with that, a couple of the pasta dishes were almost cold. The food was good, but not as impressive as I have experienced in previous times. Nonetheless, I would still recommend La Spiga and hope that my next experience is back at the level I have come to expect.

While the fritto misto & roasted turnips were good, they paled in comparison to the tortelli erbe (stuffed with ricotta & spinach in a delicious sage butter sauce). A small ramekin of freshly grated parmesan was placed at the table, so I could add as much as I wanted without judgement. Usually, I enjoy a healthy amount of parmesan on my pasta, but this is the only time I have ever forgotten that it existed. The tortelli and the sage butter were so perfect that nothing else was needed. Half way through, I realized that I had not added any cheese to my plate and grudgingly added a small amount to my next tortelli. Completely unnecessary. The little ramekin remained in the middle of the table untouched for the rest of the meal. Divine.

I have visited La Spiga three times and each time, it was SO worth it. The staff was friendly and helpful, no matter how many times we asked for something (i mean a different thing each time). Each dish ordered by each individual was delish (we shared bites) and a couple people changed their mind about how they liked (had not before) something. I highly recommend the gnocchi and the lasagne. On Thursday the 17th, the salads were so fresh you would think they had just picked the lettuce. We will be back on our next annual visit to Seattle.

My mom and I enjoyed dinner here last Saturday when we were visiting Seattle. The food was fantastic. We had an heirloom tomato salad to start and we both ordered pasta for our entree. We cleaned our plates and it was truly delicious. We had the hazelnut meringue with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert. I thought it was good but nothing over the top. Would definitely go back again next time we are in town. Wonderful and attentive service.

This was my second meal at Spiga, my first was excellent. However this time several of the dishes were disappointing. The lasagna was very flavorful but the pasta was a bit soggy. I also ordered the veal and was served the pork sausage and did realize I had been served the wrong dish until days later when I reviewed the menu. I thought it was unusual to serve the veal ground. My bad for not paying enough attention and sending it back. the two pasta dishes we ordered were very good (Strozzapreti and Tagliatelle al Burro di Tartufo ).Waiter also recommended a very nice wine as well. Not sure if I will go back or not.

This was our first time at La Spiga. The atmosphere is interesting, pleasant and inviting. The wines offered were superior. The cheese plate was excellent. My lamb rack was good to very good. My wife's veal dish was unacceptable. Taste being as subjective as it is, both of us found the combination of ground veal and thin slices of veal odd to begin with, but the true problem was the taste - it was bad. We had been told it is hit or miss at La Spiga, and one of our entrees was a complete whiff. It s important for us to say that our waitperson, Chester was truly outstanding. We'll give La Spiga another chance, but with all of the wonderful other choices in area restaurants, La Spiga has no room for more misses like we experienced.

Our service, appetizers, salad, and wine were all fantastic until the main meal arrived. My father ordered a medium-rare steak that arrived more medium-well. Unfortunately our waitress never came back to our table during the whole meal, so we had no chance to tell her that meat wasn't cooked correctly. He waited to get her attention for 10 minutes but eventually decided to just eat. She came back as we finished to offer us dessert and we told her about the meat. She was very polite, but only offered us dessert comped...really not sufficient in my opinion. I would have just preferred she came back sometime during our actual meal to ask how things were tasting.
