The food was delicious and well-prepared and the service was excellent. They even gave moms a free glass of prosecco. They had a kid's menu with too much food (and few choices) for little ones - french toast and eggs and bacon and fruit. We will make this a special occasion place as the pre fixe was $35 for adults and $14.95 for kids. Loved the smoked trout salad with beets, the halibut with dungeness crab and a light lemon sauce for main and tiramisu for dessert. All menu items are larger enough to share, including salads and pizzas.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food, service & ambienceAnother wonderful evening at Osteria Coppa - I missed seeing the smoked trout salad on the menu and our fabulous server requested it and I got lucky, the chef had it available and made it for me, much appreciated and delicious. My companion had the beet salad and really enjoyed it as well. We both had the skirt steak - it was possibly the most tender cut of this meat I've ever eaten, and was great, served with creamy polenta and greens. We added an order of brussel sprouts to share, it was a wonderful meal and evening, at one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. We stayed late to talk and was never rushed, never felt we overstayed our welcome which was nice since they are so heavily booked. My only qualm is that is can feel somewhat crowded on a busy night due to the table's close proximity to each other. But that said, the service was spot on. The waiter brought us the pizza stand only to say "oops, too early" and took it back but did bring it back when the time was right. This was a good touch. Halibut tartare (awesome), House cured bacon pizza (wow, this is a treat), Pappardelle pasta (somewhat salty but tasty just the same) and squid salad (not on website menu, squid is grilled and is awesome!). Wine list is mostly Italian wines so ask for recommendations for the correct pairing. Corkage is available but their wine list seems substantial enough. Food was wonderful and love the ambiance. There's a rustic charm to the place.
