  • "We enjoyed this restaurant's food and service so much that we visited it twice during our four day stay in Wrightsville Beach. This is not your ordinary Italian restaurant. You will NOT have mundane, over-sauced, chain-restaurant food. Instead, every dish has a true Italian touch. We began one night with the appetizer special of chorizo (oh so wonderful and smokey) and umbria (sharp cheese). On our other visit we enjoyed meatballs - WOW. They are hand formed and delightfully spiced. From the pasta to the seafood entrees - each was obviously freshly prepared and had a chef's special touch. And then there is the white chocolate bread pudding with glazed bananas - Oh My!!!! If you are looking for real Italian while at the beach, this is it!"

  • "As always, our meal was exceptional, the portions huge, the prices very good for quality and portion of food, service was very attentive."

  • "We had a simply fabulous meal. I had the Shrimp Franchese; it was superb. My husband and son had veal and chicken Parm. They had huge portions, and both couldn't resist eating the entire portion. Our service was better than our previous visit. Our only suggestion would be to find ways to lower the noise level. Energetic is such a polite way to describe it. We love to go when @ Wrightsville Beach. This time we set outside and enjoyed this frat food with conversation."

  • "All was great! Wine was good, appetizers too. The restaurant has very good kitchen and the food is very close the the real Italian cousine."

  • "I dined with three other people and we all enjoyed the appetizers, main courses and deserts. The noise level made it hard to converse at times. I would like to return at a less busy time to see if that helps with the noise issue."

  • "We come once a year when at the beach. Inviting atmosphere. Creative appetizers. Delicious food. Super friendly staff. Wish we could bring it home with us!"

  • "The food was good, our waitress was not very attentative- she offered extra cheese, went to get the cheese, but then stopped to chit chat with another waitress while I sat there waiting. The room lighting was too low, several folks were using their smart phone flashlights to read the menu. Aside from these concerns, my wife and I would eat there again."

  • "I have eaten at this restaurant many times and it is always consistent with excellent food and wine. Service is always top-notch! Obviously, others feel the same since it is always busy with diners. Will continue to dine with this restaurant when I am in Wilmington."

  • "Osteria Cicchetti consistently delivers great food and great service ~ their specials are excellent and beautifully prepared! Love going with a group (8-12) ~ share appetizers and desserts! Don't have to worry if you're a little loud ~ restaurant is casual!"

  • "great food ! good service . VERY LOUD ! for an old geezer it was just too loud to carry on a conversation with my meal mate . The Tiramisu rivels the best I have ever had . Maybe better than Trump castle in New Jersey . I would go back just for the Lobster Ravioli ."

  • "We've celebrated graduations, birthdays, and just fun family weekends at The OC! Bread is great, salads scrumptious, pasta handmade, sauces unctuous, & veal, seafood, steaks properly prepared. Servers are always attentive, helpful, & professional. Not a bit stuffy - FUN place for a delicious meal when in Wilmington!"

  • "Food was plentiful; veal was soggy buy tasty(shld be crispier); noise got so bad we couldn't talk in a group of 6, so we left. Waitress was charming and efficient. Best part of the meal. Dessert was out if this world strawberry Napoleon - 6 of us munched one order and were amazed."

  • "OC's is a good spot to go for lunch or dinner. The service was very good. The spaghetti with meat balls (3" dia.) was especially good as was the pizza. We all particularly like that you can order wine by the full bottle, half bottle or quarter bottle. This worked very well for our party. I would recommend because all of the food came to the table hot!"

  • "Finally tried something new - wild mushroom risotto - delicious. Service was great - food was piping hot!"

  • "The food was good as per usual. Reasonably priced would have liked an extra veggie or pasta side with main entrée, not asking for big portions, but the veal only came with spinach, I asked for a side of pasta and when it arrived it came with pasta only no spinach would have been prepared to pay extra for pasta side, perhaps I didn't convey my request properly. Also our guests had to ask three times for butter to be brought to the table"

  • "My favorite place! Just the perfect atmosphere & the most flavorful food! I get something different every time & I have yet to be disappointed!"

  • "Since we were there as a family of 10, with 4 kids, it was disappointing that they didn't have a kids menu. It would have been any easy thing to provide. The food was quite good. However, everyone who got a salad comment that it was very salty. Our server was very good."

  • "Love the pizza (shared as an appetizer.) Calamari was a bit bland, though. Salmon is always delicious and generally cooked properly to order. A bit noisy when crowded but overall a nice evening."

  • "A neighborhood gem that has never disappointed us with any dinning experience. Service is excellent, quality of food excellent. If it is not a pleasure in any way, any issue or problem would be quickly resolved by the staff. Recommend to all. Lunch reasonable and as always a pleasure. Dinner won't disappoint anyone, choices are for all."

  • "First this is a great restaurant. I am sure we caught a server on a bad night, however, for the cost I expected more busy or not. Missed a soup order, long time between table visits and a lack of familiarity with menu items. I have been here before, a good experiences, but missed the mark this time. "

  • "I order the white clam linguini. When I received it it had 3 or 4 fresh clams and a pile of tasteless rubbery chopped up clams. I could have gotten this at Red Lobster. I then exchanged it for a chicken dish. The chicken was very good. I was dissapointed when I received my bill, they upcharged me 3 bucks for the chicken. Very cheesy on their part. I paid the bill and then complained to the manager. He offered to take it off, but it should have been done before I received the bill. Left a very bad taste in my mouth, to say the least. My companions dinners were very good."

  • "First time to the OC and we were not disappointed. OUr server brought us water and our drinks and was kind enough to realize we were too busy chitchatting to even look at the menu yet, so left us alone for a bit. That was greatly appreciated. Two of us had soup, Tomato Basil and the soup of the day, Zucchini with farro. Both were excellent. The Zucchini was served very hot and once it cooled down about was quite flavorful. Our entrees were quite tasty and quite large. I had the lasagna, my wife the pasta special - salmon, shrimp over angel hair, and our guest sausage, chicken with marina over angel hair. We all had to have leftovers boxed. My wife highly recommends the bread pudding. We willl be returning to the OC in the near future."

  • "At the last minute decided to go to Osteria Cicchetti via Open Table. Table was ready before our reservation at 7:30pm on May 24th. Pasta, steak and wine were excellent. My wife commented that her steak was cooked exactly how she likes it, med rare. She enjoyed her risotto too! My gnocchi and sausage entree was great. Make sure to ask for crackers with your complementary bread! Will be back! Always enjoy this restaurant when in Wilmington!"

I had the spaghetti carbonara with added shrimp and again it was beautifully cooked. The service was very pleasant and attentive and this was a great experience."

  • "This was the 2nd time I had gone to this restaurant for dinner, as I was at a conference at the Holiday day at Wrightsville Beach and looking for an alternative that was a close drive. Each time, I have had wonderful food and they have a pretty extensive wine list. I will definitely go back to eat there the next time I am staying at Wrightsville Beach. "

  • "Went to the OC for the 5th year in a row to celebrate twin daughters' birthdays (turning 8 this year) and the food and service was terrific. A really busy night (as always) and we didn't seem to have a server at first, but as soon as the manager noticed, we were super well taken care of, including lots of nice attention for the girls and candles in the desserts, which he made complimentary. We're big fans of this place and this night made us love it even more. (And the special shrimp, potato, spinach pizza was fantastic!) Oh, and no rush out the door - we were able to spend the evening and take our time."

  • "A nice restaurant with good food. For the Wilmington area, this place provides good food for a good price. Not everything is perfect or exceptional, but there is enough to like about the place and the food."

  • "This may very well be my favorite restaurant in Wilmington. I don't eat out much but my wife and I frequently dine at OC when we do. Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty and plentiful. I've only had three entrees there but all were great. The lasagna is wonderful. The pizza is not my favorite dish there, but it's very good. I most recently had the Spaghetti Cicchetti and loved it. I took about half home and ate it for lunch the next day. It actually tasted better on the second day. I also took the unused bread home with me and had it the next day. It too seemed to taste better on the second day. I not sure why but maybe I was just hungrier on the following day. "

  • "Mothers day brunch was outstanding. Well worth the price. They need to have some of those desserts/pastries for sale during the year."

  • "This is a special occasion place, but we visit whenever we are in Wilmington. The White Anchovies, mixed olives, and all the other appetizers are amazing! We have tried several of the pasta dishes, the fish soup, and the baked fish entrees and have not gone wrong yet. There are real Italian flavors and spices so do not expect typical, bland Italian-American fare. We look forward to our next visit!"
