Diner Reviews
  • "Great local place for fresh sushi. We will be back. Only down side to the restaurant is not having a full bar."

  • "I had been to Osetra with a ladies' group for lunch; this was the first dinner there for both me and my husband. I've never been a caviar fan, but at both visits have really enjoyed the caviar appetizers. My husband had assorted sushi for dinner, I had the veal bolognese. Both were superb; I make my own pasta and this pasta was as good as my homemade. Will definitely go again."

  • "We have been to Osetra many times and have not been disappointed. Great sushi, good value, excellent service. It is one of our go to restaurants."

  • "Know for champagne & xavier which we did not have. We only had a seaweed salad which was goo & spicy. We had two specialty sushi rolls. Enjoyed them particularly because they had different ingredients that made them interesting & yummy."
    Dined on 5/17/2014
  • "We had a Groupon at Osetra that is a pretty good deal. We had an edamame and a very good salad to start. Then two sushi rolls and 2 pieces of nigiri sushi, and then a dessert to share. The food was all good."
    Dined on 5/12/2014
  • "Tried sushi, for the first time in Turks and Caicos Islands by a "world renown sushi chef", so the bar was set HIGH....this place was just as good! Might seem quite and quant, but it's great! TRY IT"
    Dined on 4/15/2014
  • "We've been here several times. Love the owner and his team. The food quality this last visit was average. Usually it's excellent. We might have just caught them on an off night. This is a great spot, must check it out."
    Dined on 4/11/2014
  • "We had this preconceived notion that Osetra was all about EXPENSIVE caviar. We found out we were wrong. Can you get expensive caviar? Yes. Can you have an outstanding meal on 5th ave for a reasonable price at Osetra? Yes! My wife ordered the "Lobster Two Way" and commented that it was the best roll she had ever enjoyed! I was in the mood for "comfort food" so I ordered the Chicken Picatta.....excellent choice! So the end of this review is to recommend Osetra! I can not end this review without a comment about service. The owner/manager can to our table no less than 3 times!! our server was very pleasant!! We will go back. We recommend you visit this restaurant while in Naples FL!"

  • "Trouble again with them honoring the reservation as specified. Restaurant inside was closed for an event. Manager was non responsive,"
    Dined on 3/25/2014
  • "This restaurant was overpriced for what I had. Take another spot for your dinner."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "Loungy decor, strange mix of food but good. Sushi, italian, and caviar."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "Ambience and service is great but limited sushi options and almost all the rolls have cream cheese in them,"
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "My wife and I went to Osetra on our 6 month anniversary trip and it was great. Very nice and eclectic little place with pretty good sushi. Our server was fantastic and we found out that he had just gotten engaged to his girlfriend so that was a nice connection. We did not try any caviar, but a few folks near us did and were raving about it."
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "This is one of our go to restaurants. You can always depend on great food and excellent service. The sushi is so good I have not tried other menu items but we will go back and I hope to try something new."
    Dined on 2/25/2014
  • "A special menu of items we would have never tried . Thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying. The owner took time with us despite the busy evening. The price was very reasonable for the value. We will visit again!"

  • "We had a wonderful evening at Osetra on Valentines Day. We had a caviar appetizer, our first ever taste, and it was very good. We then had sashimi. Excellent! Then a main course of sushi. Again, excellent! The desert was truly sublime. A wonderful night!"

  • "Fresh and well presented - one of the few good sushi places."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "This may not be an entirely fair review because we went on Valentine's Day and they were offering one fixed price menu and nothing else. While they were extremely nice and tried to be somewhat accommodating, that was unexpected and disappointing. After we went through our concerns and received apologies we could hear the same conversation going on at each subsequent table. Maybe this was an experiment gone awry that they learned from but a warning ahead of time would have been nice. If it wasn't Valentine's Day we would have gone elsewhere. What was served was good but not what we wanted and at the price we paid we want what we want, not what they want us to have."

  • "We were delighted to learn that Osetra is now open for lunch and offers the full menu. We decided on the caviar blinis followed by the most wonderful champagne poached lobster tail scattered with caviar and a side of asparagus. Service was excellent. We chose to sit outside and the lack of umbrellas is our only complaint."

  • "Great food! Unbelievable service. The owner makes sure to talk to everyone and make sure all is perfect."

  • "Our first visit to this restaurant, and we will definitely be back! We sat on the out front patio, and had fun people watching on 5th Ave. Our party of 4 all had sushi, which was terrific, along with crab cakes which were also very tasty. The restaurant has an upscale elegance, but the owner, Milos is friendly and welcoming. All in all, a great experience."

  • "Service was very slow. The waitress did not check our table other than to serve our food. She did not allow us to taste the wine before pouring. Never refilled our wine or water glasses. After waiting for our meal someone else came out to let us know he served the last of the sushi I ordered earlier that day. They allowed me to order another type and we waited again. Apparently my husbands meal was ready the entire time because his vegetables were ice cold when finally served. Overall, not a good experience."

  • "Everything was good to excellent. The affordable caviar bites had no accompaniments and too little caviar to support the oversized blini which was too thick. The sushi was fresh and tasty as well as creative. Minimal rice options are available. Service was too slow but our server was attentive and told us the kitchen was overwhelmed. He picked up on the fact that we loved the Maryland crab cake appetizer and brought us a free extra to pass the time while the kitchen caught up. The patio seating was perfect for my son and wife. The interior has a European flair and just seemed to support the marketing which suggests this a place to be seen. Pretentious and silly just like the 1200 dollar premium Ossetra caviar. Ambiance excellent outside."

  • "I have always loved caviar and as my Birthday neared I looked for a place that might satisfy my taste. Osetra was selected, sight unseen, and we hit the place at 6:15. We were warmly greeted and given a table for two. The menu featured only Champagne and Wine(possibly Beer) which was fine as we were after Caviar. And Caviar we had...a multiple choice of varying grades of Caviar..we selected and were grandly served a nice platter of Caviar, Blinis, toast points, chopped egg, onion, capers, and creme fraiche. It was delightful and peaked our appetitie for the excellent Sushi that followed. Perhaps the best in town. All this while being served by Milos, an expert at his craft."

  • "We ordered Veuve Cliquot (Champagne selection was limited and they were out of three varieties of what was listed on the menu) and Ossetra President Caviar. The young lady was attentive but could not pronounce the names of the Champagnes, did not seem comfortable with any of the high end items on the menu, nor with dealing with that type clientele. The presentation of the Caviar was nice & it was good, we had more. The ambiance left a lot to be desired After spending a very large sum of money at the restaurant the manager never came back to say good night or even offered after dinner drink or desert. If you are into Champagne and Caviar think twice about this, it is definitely not for foodies or the most elegant place in Naples to dine"

  • "The food was excellent. Our Waitress Jessica was wonderful. My only issue was the length of time it took for the food to be served. Everything was freshly made and tasted fabulous, but you really can't be in a hurry and go to this restaurant. It would also be too long of a wait in between courses to have small kids there."
    Dined on 4/5/2013
  • "Our server, Jessica, was perfect. Very knowledgeable, engaging and attentive. Everyone remarked on the lovely decor and criendly waitstaff. I came for the caviar, so I was very happy. My husband got the miso soup which was served cold. His Pasta Bolognese was lackluster and lukewarm. The salad he got was uninspired. I got to taste 2 other dishes, the California Roll and the Lobster Bisque (warm to hot) which were both excellent. I would advise diners to stick with caviar and sushi/ sashimi."

  • "This is my second time at Osetra and I decided to take my family for Easter because of the great service I experienced on my first visit. The staff is amazingly friendly and just awesome. The owner always comes out and greats the guest. The food was amazing! They just added a sushi chef and extensive sushi to the menu it was really a delight and a wonderful dining experience."

  • "all of the other restaurants on Fifth Avenue were busy busy and busting with customers. Especially those with outdoor seating. We walked in 20 cetera and we were the only people in the restaurant. The menu had changed from the 1 that has been posted on the Internet. they had to pasta dishes which were good. 4 main courses and a new sushi bar menu. This restaurant seemed lost, it seemed to not know who or what it was all about. It actually made us sad."

  • "I took my Mother and daughter there for dinner. We waited for our food for over an hour and the order was incorrect. The asparagus and potatoes were over cooked. They were hosting some VIPs on the night we were there. They treated them like kings and we were ignored. The menu listed in the site was different than what was being offered. We won't be returning."
    Dined on 3/26/2013
  • "Defintely not a family restaurant. Restaurant was changing to new menu and hasn't gotten new menus prepared. Selections were limited. When we finally were served food was very good. Waiter was attentive the table but wait for food was entirely too long -- over an hr after taking the order. Would probably need to check out menu before dining there again. This place is a wine and champagne bar -- therefore no other liqueur available."

  • "We dined with out-of-town guests on Sunday evening - fabulous meals and Jessica is an outstanding server -- gracious and efficient!!Chicken picata, chicken milanese and grilled salmon all cooked to perfection and were just delicious! It's a favorite Naple's dining venue for us. Anthony and Milos do a great job!"

  • "Excellent food. My wife has tuna tartar and crab cakes which were incredibly fresh and delicious. The lobster bisque was rich and creamy, I wanted to swim in it. My chicken piccata was very tasty and I'm not a big lemony kind of guy. Jessica is a great waitress and beautiful person. Ask her about "The Giving Tree". The meal took awhile to be served but it was cooked to order and definitely worth the wait. As a real bonus the musical entertainment at the restaurant next door was great! Sit outside and take it all in."

  • "Was there in march 2012 and had the very best lobster bisque with whole 6 oz lobster tail floating on top. Flash forward to march 2013. Soup served with a couple of pieces of lobster in bottom and soup barely warm. We returned with guests specifically for this fab soup. Extremely disappointed. The filet mignon with asparagus and potatoes was tasty as was the goat cheese salad"
    Dined on 3/6/2013
  • "The restaurant ambiance was fair. The prices were expensive for the quality of food. Because it avertised champagne and caviar bar allowed them to be a high price restaurant. The lobster boullabaise was $17.00 with almost no lobster. I would not return."

  • "My wife and I were there on 2/24/12 and had a great experience. The attention by the owner and the wait staff was very attentive. The food was very good. My wife and I will be going back to this restaurant again."

  • "Excellent service, great food. To have champaign and caviar is a really nice, unique change. However, it's not all about that. Many great appetizers and entrees."
    Dined on 2/21/2013
  • "Kitchen could not support the business. The wait staff tried very hard to compensate. Food was good but not worth the wait. All of our party was not served at the same time making it awkward to eat. Since we were only four people this was not excusable. We were served at the very last even though we were seated earlier than others."
    Dined on 2/14/2013
  • "Last minute Valentines reservation and we were treated great.Table was added to seat us and the waitress couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. Will certainly come back!"

  • "Made reservations to this 'wrong' restaurant. Actually wanted Tulia's 'Osteria' Surprised when our name was not on the list at Tulia's PACKED restaurant. Was 'steered' directly across street to 'Osetra,' to where only 2 others were dining. At this point, i had realized my 'Valentine Day error.' I would have NOT gone to a Champagne & Caviar Bar. Pricey, Pricey, from apps. entree and desserts. Most memorable . . . niece had baby boy in Chicago while we dined. with that said, nothing else mattered. Rocco"
