Now the menu. I found it limited and average. I ordered their signature appetizer, as well as their signature entree and it did not meet my expectations. Crab cakes had no fillers as advertised, but lacked flavor. The veal entree had too much breading and the veal was well hidden.

From the bar, to the table and the characters walking around - all were friendly and seemed to want to be there and make the dining experience great. We tried the bone-in ribeye, flank steak, crab legs and their version of weiner schnitzel (done with a veal chop). All were excellent. The wine list was small, but adequate. After seeing Fremont Street Experience from our table, we finished the night with a walk down through there. What a fun,crazy zoo of people just having a good time. The service, view, and atmosphere was outstanding and the food was delicious. I treated myself to a prime rib and it was the best I've ever had. Also, if macaroni and cheese is on the menu, I try it everywhere. The macaroni and cheese at Oscar's was phenomenal; all white cheeses and delicious! We really enjoyed the lively piano player and singer - they added a lot of fun to the atmosphere. The steak tartar was perfect; as was the seafood appetizer plate. Given all of the options in Vegas, Oscar's naturally shines as the most consistent, impressive, classy, and quintessential dining experience we've found. We made sure to be there for Mr. Goodman's book event and were, once again, treated like the star himself. Easy-on-the-eyes Ignacio provided superior and patient service as we lingered over each savory course. The charming Bobby also remembered us from a previous visit and took the time to come over and chat, also making sure we had everything we needed. Likewise, we were tickled to have engaged in conversation and the thoughtfulness of debonair General Manager, Mr. Bruno. As always, a delightful affair. I knew this would be a great place to take my boyfriend for his birthday. He was pleasantly surprised. We both thought the food was excellent. Last year we discovered Oscar's while walking downtown. We absolutely loved it. We recommended it to anyone going to Las Vegas. So needless to say this year we could not wait to take our whole group there once again and were not disappointed. The food was excellent and reasonable for Las Vegas and the service was above and beyond great. It was a perect ending to a lovely day. The waiter was wonderful. Very helpful and did not hover. The food was great and much more than we could eat. But the dog got none of that "Doggie Bag". We had a table at the window and could watch all the action on Fremont Street. We will go again. The food was delicious, sad part is plentiful but wasteful since we had no means for left overs.
I had the Spilatro steak and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD!
It would be nice to have smaller portions and a cheaper price so you don't feel guilty about wasting delicious food.

I love Las Vegas & always been a big fan of our past & present mayors, I thought having a restaurant was a bit egocentric but like so many other great endeavors,this one is great.
location is at the Newly renovated Plaza, the dome really is a perfect venue for it. view of down town and the light show is perfect.

We walked in to not only the best table in the house, but everyone we walked past congratulated the honoree. The food was amazing, the service impeccable. The hostess then tried to sit me at a table as far away from the area is she could find and when I asked her about the reservation for near the table, she said they were all reserved. Guess I should have made the reservation a year in advance !! Well when I got the manager involved, he gave me a table right where I had asked to reserve earlier and made the experience a great one. If you are entertaining customers, as most sales reps do in Vegas - Oscar's is the place. I often frequent Vic and Anthonys, Del Frisco's, Mortons, The Steakhouse at Circus Circus, as well as the overpriced Craft Steakhouse at MGM. I can honestly say, that even if the was the most expensive - it would have been the best. But, better yet - it is the least expensive of all of the finer dining establishments. I took two sets of clients to Oscars this week and both were amazed. Sadly, on my third night - out of convenience - I entertained at Craft at MGM.
