Orleans Restaurant and BarGreat foodReally good food, I would recommend to make reservations unless you don't mind waiting5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSo wonderful for my birthday!Greta mix of a sit down but laid back restaurant for those who arrived on the early side and a vibrant karaoke showdown for those who arrived on the later side. Our server, Linda, accommodated every request -- including roughly 8 separate checks for the group. She was so nice!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMVery pleasant, vibrant locale...nicVery pleasant, vibrant locale...nice to have windows open in front. Went for brunch. Omelette options very tasty and varied. Service pleasant and considerate...there was a large party while we were there, so the service was a bit slow and staff a bit pre-occupied, but all in all, quite nice. They also did excellent service recovery--removed charge for an item that needed to be re-heated--which was appreciated.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMNo onions please!!!This was on the Phantom Gourmet gift card list. We decided to use it here. I loved the place but it was a zig zag ride using the GPS. Not their fault.First table we sat in was right next to the hostess table which was buzzing with gossip so we moved ourselves 4 tables down. We ordered the duck tacos and said "no onions please" and it came out swarming with onions. The waitress was very apoligetic and brought out a duplicate with no onions. I had the Frenchman burger (Brie, spinach, carmelized onions)with a side of chicken noodle soup and he had the steak tips with mashed and string beans. The mashed were cold. The soup was like Grandma's...very hearty. The have an excellent selection of beers and drinks. We'd go again. No onions please. :)4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing, Affordalble, and FriendlyExcellent food at more than reasonable prices.
The ambiance and noise levels are better than other options in Davis Sq.
Our server was Emma, who was great.
She has just the right combination of friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing.
I had the Blackened Chicken w/mushrooms and tortellini in a light Alfredo sauce.
It was the perfect combo of spice and slightly sweet from the sauce.
I've also had the amazing Salmon with prosciutto and peas risotto.
I've lived in Davis Sq for 7 yrs, and I still consider Orleans to be a hidden gem.
The dining room-while steady-rarely is packed-which is a huge plus for me.
It's my go to place in the Square.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
