Original Fish Market - Westin PittsburghA lot of food for a big price.A lot of food for a big price. Every thing was fresh and correctly prepared. You can get equal or better quality at a better price a short walk outside the hotel.6/16/2013 12:00:00 AMHad not been to this seafoodHad not been to this seafood spot in the Westin Convention Center Hotel in quite a while. The menu is fairly limited, focusing on fresh seafood with interesting accompaniments. There are also several steaks and other dishes. Most entree prices are $30 and up, so not inexpensive. Had a very good Martha's Vineyard salad and diver scallops entree with leeks and turnips. The teriyaki swordfish was also an attractive, popular dish. This spot is popular with folks heading to Penguins games and concerts, so it is likely to be pretty empty after 7 pm. Starwood card members can earn nice discount and points.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a nice Mother's DayWe had a nice Mother's Day dinner. We started with sushi which was excellent. Entrays were also very good. Two of our party ordered the special, chippino, which unfortunately was underseasoned and were both missing the root vegitables listed on the menu. Everyone else expressed that their food was excellent.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMgoodThe food was good and the sushi was great! Certain itemed seemed a bit overpriced, but I understand that you are paying mostly for the area.
I don't know if I'll go back in the immediate future, but I was satisfied.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe place for fresh seafoodWhether you want oysters, Scottish salmon, Hawaiian waloo or sushi, the Fish Market is your best bet. Something for everyone. I suggest sharing appetizers, sushi & entrees unless you want the others at the table ogling your dish! This restaurant is just a block away from the rest, so you can usually get a table on a crowded night.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time VisitThis was our first visit to Original Fish Market and we were not disappointed. I only wish we could have gone back for dinner, but due to the short time we were in Pittsburgh we could not. Our lunch was delicious and the service was excellent. The lunch menu was extensive and varied.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMQuiet and DifferentThe atmosphere was very pleasant, service was excellent and the food was superb. There were a variety of choices, both meat and seafood. Dessert was over the top! I especially liked the warm goat cheese and roasted beet salad. The $$ was too low. I would change this restaurant to $$$ to give a more accurate description of menu prices. There were a couple of entrees at just under $30 each, but most were between $30 and $40. I will definitely go back.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe organic salmon with redThe organic salmon with red quinoa was outstanding!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFriday night dinnerSushi was amazing - had the calamari salad and sushi sampler.
