I would call it meat and potatoes food or country food. The restaurant has a nice scenic view atop a big hill looking down. The best views are probably at sunset and at night. The interior is very interesting. It has an old mine look and slightly country feel. Drinks are served in glass jars. The prices are a little more expensive than a Chili's type restaurant but still reasonable. This a great place for special occasions. I took my mother there for Mother's Day and she loved it. All without suffocating your wallet. I went here with my girlfriend and it was a great spot. Reservation was honored on time. View is great at sunset. This is a classic, rustic steak house with a salad bar. Everyone is extremely friendly. Service is very good but not great. The wait staff is very helpful and courteous, they are there when you need but don't hover. I love the seafood since I'm not much of a steak-eater, but my date and friends have all enjoyed theirs! I did try the ribs which were perfectly cooked, and not too fatty or saucy, but I have to go with the shrimp scampi/scallop combo, the sauce with their mashed potatoes is DELICIOUS! Actually, everything we've tried has been amazing!

I know if I visit during the week the feeling is much quieter and peaceful compared to the weekend. Now that the sun is going down later and later, I find the late night visit really shows off the view. People with small children & babies should either get a babysitter or go where their noise will not bother the other patrons. Most people who are there don't want to put up with their noise, exspecially when your spending that much money. It ruins the dining experience.
