"First time and will definitely be back. Teh steaks were a little overdone, but everything else was fabulous and we really had a very pleasurable experience. Our waitress, Heather was a real treat and made the experience one of our best in KC."

"Made Easter bruch reservations 2 weeks in advance for the time that they opened:10:30 a.m. We, a party of 7, were automatically escorted through the restaurant to the banquet room. I objected to being seated in a banquet room when the restaurant was empty & asked the hostess to seat us in the restaurant. We were told that all large parties were being seated in the banquet room & that all tables in the restaurant were already scheduled & that they didn't have any tables to accommodate us. I insisted that we be seated in the restaurant. Eventually we were seated in the restaurant but not without being made to feel that we were asking for the unexpected. The restaurant was not full, there were open tables everywhere & they could seat 7 easily."

"Ophelia's is our favorite restaurant in Independence. That Independence has few notable restaurants does not take away at all from all the good things I have checked above about Ophelia's. It is a classy restaurant that serves excellent food artistically. Had I been there for lunch or dinner, most of my ratings above would have been five stars. However, we were there for Easter brunch in the banquet room which is not pretty like the main part of the restaurant. However, the family had a great time along with dozens of other families having a wonderful time."

"We had a wonderful time. This was for a baby shower and Ophelia's had us located where we had privacy and plenty of space. They were all exceptionally friendly and professional. The brunch menu includes breakfast items and lunch items so everyone could be happy. And they were. Thank you so much for making this occasion a special day."

"Ophelia's is one of our personal favorites. Stopping by for Sunday brunch, the food was excellent - especially enjoying the accompaniment bar (fresh fruit, salad, soup, cinnamon rolls); entres - even for brunch, are very well presented. The feeling was very leisurely and relaxed, with soft jazz playing in the background. Highly recommended."

"The food was delicious. I had pork loin and my husband had pistachio encrusted salmon. Both were enhanced with light, fruity sauces. Everything from beginning to end was fresh, hot, and wonderful."

"I was so disappointed with our meal! We ate here in the summer and had an awesome dinner. We raved about it to our friends and came with them after seeing Riverdance. Thought we would cap off a great entertainment experience with a great dining experience. Our steaks were overcooked and dry. Honestly they were maybe one half to two thirds the size of the ribeye I had in the summer. The creme brulee managed to salvage it a bit."
