  • "This is about the fourth time dining at Ophelia"s and as usual the food, service and atmosphere was outstanding...and reasonable for what you get !!!!"

  • "So happy we were told of this restaurant while we were in town! The food was outstanding. It was not only delicious, but beautifully presented. The service was excellent and the location couldn't have been much better. We ate inside, but the views were serene. I will make sure we visit this restaurant every trip!"

  • "We just love this place. Excellent food. Impeccable service. Beautiful views. It's not cheap by any means but it's worth every penny."

  • "Made a 5'o clock reservation for dinner and sine the place opens at 5, expected to get a good table , there being at least 6 at the window overlooking the bay. We were the first ppl there yet were told all those tables were taken. What? Told us we needed to call by phone for that reservation, yet at the website it takes you right to open table for the reservation and no mention of needing to call. When we left by 6:30 there where still tables available at the window. Food was just ok. But the wine list is outrageous. Can't get a decent bottle for less than $45. This is the second time we had issues with this restaurant...if you want a good experience go to Mattison 41."

  • "Our table was ready upon our arrival, the waitstaff was attentive, the waitress knowledgeable, a diversified wine list and the food superb. Our party of six thoroughly enjoyed their experience."

  • "Been going to Ophelia's for year and never had a bad meal. Great place and the only negative is the parking situation."
    Dined on 4/3/2014
  • "I love this restaurant. It is a little pricey, but the food is amazing and the outdoor seating right on the bay is so pretty. I take all my quests there."

  • "We've been going here for years when in the area it's one of our must go to spots for one of the finest dinners we have when visiting this parts for spring break."

  • "We were seated by the window so a great view but still inside as it was a bit chilly. My daughter ordered the lobster bisque. I wish I would have ordered it. It was delicious! I had the scallops. They were incredible. The rest of the group had the flounder. They loved their meal as well. We had great service and would highly recommend this restaurant!"

  • "We go to Ophelia's usually for our anniversary or some other special occasion and last night was our 5 year anniversary and our expectations were again met! Service from our greeting to our drinks to paying the bill were all superior. Love the outdoor atmosphere and its serenity. Be back soon!"

  • "Food was very high quality. Service was excellent. Great place! Slightly expensive. Two issues: 1) We couldn't get seated outdoors although there were empty tables and one of the tables was empty the entire time we were there. 2) inside was very chilly. We spoke to staff and they said the AC runs like that and they didn't do anything about it. Wear a sweater or jacket."

  • "6 of us had a wonderful evening. So I don't forget, the ability to make a reservation, indoors by a window with free valet parking was a big plus. Food was delicious except one guest had leg of lamb that had a tough part to it. This was quickly and politely rectified. Waiter was excellent and very knowledgeable about the food and its preparation. A little pricey but no one complained and everyone was very happy with the choice of restaurant. "it only costs a little bit extra to go first class" Everything was truly first class. Will definitely be back next season."

  • "Brunch was fair at best and service was average to bad......needs improvement....."

  • "Superb as always. Had the Savor Sarasota Special: Soup of salad, entree, dessert. The portions are somewhat smaller, but ample and the selections are limited, but it is an excellent value for outstanding food and experience. It's our go to restaurant."

  • "Thi s restaurant was always one of our special event restaurants - birthdays, anniversary, etc. This time was very disappointing...appetizers were wonderful, but main courses were skimpy at best. I had flounder which if 3" long was a lot. We expected better size portions at over $30 a pop. A Mediterranean fish was supposed to have a Jamaican twang. The chef probably never was in Jamaica and shouldn't promise that kind of spicey flavor if he never had it before. They used to have really delicious bread, now ordinary little rolls. All in all, if I spend over $100 for 2 people I expect something special."

  • "Great Sarasota restaurant. Food and service were great. Highly recommend."

  • "This was our visit to Ophelia's. We were pleased with the entire experience, the food was wonderful. Our server Janelle's recommendations were spot on for the the cocktails, appetizers and main courses. We were very pleased with our table and view of the water. Will return on our next visit to Sarasota."

  • "We have dined at Ophelia's each time friends visit ( which as been frequent this winter) and each time has been most satisfying. The menu changes daily with the sea food available and has never disappointed. We have no house guests this weekend and just might go ourselves."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "We had a great time at a Sunday brunch. The food and service were excellent, and the music was very fine."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "We visited Ophelia's for the second time since we moved to Florida in December 2013. This time we went with friends to the Sunday jazz brunch. The food was excellent...prime rib, snow crab legs, oysters, lots of breakfast items and great desserts. The view is gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "for the price, i expected a better class of food. The prime rib was chewy, snow crab legs and peel/eat shrimp were the highlights, typical eggs, waffles, sausage. everything I would have expected from golden corral for 10 bucks, not $27.00. oysters were terrible, you couldn't hear the music outside, and traffic flow was not well designed. A lot of items were empty, and not well cared for, again, based on price, not well managed, and not the quality I would have expected."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "Sunday Brunch at Ophelia's is reasonably priced - $27 including one Mimosa or Bloody Mary. The restaurant is small to accommodate the three buffet sections - breakfast, lunch, and desserts - and that led to some long lines to get food. The food was excellent, but the staff had difficulty keeping the food trays filled, again causing lines and waits. Identifying food signs were late in being placed by the foods - one sign never appeared, causing every diner to ask what it was. Service was good, but we were initially taken to a broken table by the carving station, which our server tried unsuccessfully to level, so she simply moved us. The view is excellent, the food was delicious, so we are able to recommend Ophelia's with above notes."

  • "We were very disappointed to find out that we did not have an outside table as we assumed when our Open Table reservation request including for outdoor seating for our family was accepted. I didn't read the "fine print" at the bottom of the confirmation stating that we has to call the restaurant to confirm seating locale. We would have chosen another day if we had known. Lesson - Don't bother with Open Table if seating is important. You'll have to phone the restaurant anyway."

  • "Always a great place to bring friends. We sat on the outdoor dining deck and it was great weather and the food, service and atmosphere was perfect."

  • "When I made my reservation, I was asked if it was a special occasion and I told them my daughter was celebrating her birthday. Besides the delicious food, beautiful views and great service, the mean ended with champagne being brought to our table for the birthday girl......with a strawberry on the glass with a candle in it (in the absence of ordering desert). It made for a great ending to a wonderful evening."

  • "Waterfront restaurant with a view on the bay. One of Sarasota's finest! Food was superb and the service was excellent! Can't beat the view, sit outside if you can!"
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "Had brunch for the first time last Sunday, with a group of six. Had asked for an outside table, but there was a big party going on, so they did sit us by the window. We have been here before for dinner, but this was the first time for brunch. The food was very good, but with all the seasonal people in town now, won't be going back for brunch until everyone heads back North, and it's a little less crowned."
    Dined on 3/16/2014
  • "Great setting, good food, attentive service but they do rush you through somewhat"
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "The restaurant is located on the bay. Try to be seated outside. The inside isn't anything to look at. Some food good, some very so-so. Service is just standard."
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "Our party of 3 loved the food. Especially the house-specialty eggplant crepes and the burrata salad. My scallop entree was wonderful. Luckily we were not in a hurry or feeling uptight, because we started off the evening being told by the hostess that our table was not ready and we would not have our special request honored because we made our reservations through Open Table rather than calling directly. This was irksome since the restaurant web site routes you to Open Table and I love using Open Table. We were happy enough to sit and have a drink, and then we got a table by the window anyway, so she needn't have been so passive-agressive. Quite shame because it was a fantastic evening under the full moon on the bay."

  • "I have always loved dining at Ophelia's and have never had a bad experience until this time. The menu was uninspired and the choices were both unconventional and unappealing. The service was incredibly slow and unattentive, although that might not have been the harried server's fault (it appears that his other assigned tables were in a different part of the restaurant). Finally, the food was only mediocre and one order was cooked completely the opposite of the requested doneness. I might go back again to see if this was just an abberation but it was extremely disappointing and embarrassing to take our out-of-town friends."

  • "This was such a great dining experience! Perfect off the beaten track, with a gorgeous view of the water and wonderful menue."
    Dined on 3/13/2014
  • "While the food, when we finally received it, was as good as before, the service we received on a recent Sunday evening was not. A missing place setting, water glasses that were never refilled, and uncleared dirty plates were the least of our problems. My husband finally went to the bar to get 2 glasses of wine after waiting 20 minutes for our waitress to return with them. But the final blow came when she announced (90 minutes after being seated ) that our dinners would be out shortly, but since she had forgotten to enter them promptly into the computer, one dinner order was no longer available! I don't expect this anywhere, least of all in such an expensive "fine dining" establishment! We left stunned and disappointed."

  • "We both had a fabulous meal and appetizer. We dined on the dock with the Sarasota bay view . An osprey nest was in sight. It was just an easy, elegant, eating experience."
    Dined on 3/10/2014
  • "The wonderfully romantic setting was only matched by the exceptional cuisine and impeccable service."

  • "Come here for special occasions! Aren't many restaurants where food, service & ambiance are perfect! Ophelia's has it ALL!"
