At the last moment one member of our party was unable to make it, and two others were running late. They were more than accomodating, and made us feel totally ok about it. The service was wonderful, and the food was tasty. It was nice to have gluten free options, although I was disappointed to find out that they use wonton wrappers with gluten in them, which left me with only fried mushrooms as an option for an appetizer. Only thing that took away from the great experience was our waiter
Took 30 minutes for a glass of water. Had to ask for a refill and when that came it had no ice and was very warm. Reservation said we had table for 2 hours however we had only just got our appetizers after an hour and he hadn't yet even taken our dinner order. Plates were never cleared until we asked for them to be and we had to wave another staff member down to try and get our bill.
31/2 hours later we finally were out of there.

We had 11 people meeting from 6 to 9:30 PM and we could listen to each other without the interference of television or loud speakers. The service was outstanding and prompt. We all had an excellent time and enjoyment throughout our dinner. It's good for young couples on a budget ("Hey dad, can I borrow the car?") or families who are tired of Montana's or BP's as their only choices. It's great for birthdays or anniversaries, or just that quick date you realize the babysitter is ACTUALLY going to pull through for you, but you don't want to go to the Keg. Again. Open Sesame is a restaurant full of textures and tactile stimuli. The staff is always happy and not gossipy. I have never felt judged or under/over dressed walking into this place. We only just heard about it and came in for the first time on April 22 and we have been in every week since. I am a very picky eater so I love being able to choose what goes into my bowl. Being a vegan, it's hard to go out and enjoy a restaurant but with Open Sesame, I'm able to stay true to my dietary restrictions without any problem :) It's also very romantic, which I love.
Our server (I can't remember his name!) was fantastic.
I have, would and will recommend Open Sesame to my friends, family and now even strangers.
Becky5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGoodPretty tasty, always happy. Our server was pretty brutal this visit though. We put the stick thing in that means we want the Mu Shu wraps. They never showed, and the server was extremely rude and argued that if we didn't receive them it means we didn't put the stick in. I'm pretty sure we didn't both imagine putting them into our bowls.
Other than that one incident though, it has been pretty good! Pretty much the same as Mongolie Grill but half the price. The only thing missing is cashews!
