Onotria Wine Country CuisineExcellent ChefOnotria Wine Country Cusine is rather "rustic" in appearance both outside and inside. The hard interior surfaces make the environment somewhat "noisy". The service was prompt, friendly and professional. The food was savory, refreshingly unique in flavor, and served in reasonable portions. A good dining experience primarily because of the creativity of the chef; will likely return.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMCelebration!First timer and very impressed. Celebrating birthdays for two special friends and they loved it! Wonderful food and service. Planning to return soon.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMRepeat diners/have alwaysRepeat diners/have always enjoyed. Especially love the sustainable garden & spying the sous chef tip toeing around harvesting fresh herbs & veggies. Appetizers presented table side tempting. All looked scrumptious! Had my dining companion have bigger appetite, would have indulged. Shared tomato & avocado salad, a nice split size portion, REFRESHING! My companion ordered the pork medallions & enjoyed the sauce & flavors tremendously although was a bit disappointed w/the toughness of the pork. I opted for the penne w/wild boar ragu as it sounded so promisingly full of flavor. Was good, though not as anticipated, really nothing special. Did not really seem like an Onotria entrée. For the cost of our meal, this visit fell a little short.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply amazing foodWe had the Family special for Mother's Day and everything was spectacular! From the home made salad dressings and super fresh arugula to the mouth watering tiramisu!!! MUST go.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMeverything was delicious, exceptfor the vegetable soup. The fresh poached fish was delicious and properly cooked. The calamari appetizer was so good we had two orders.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMClassy and SophsticatedMost enjoyable. Food is amazing. Wine list outstanding. Very expensive but worth the price!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant was very quietThe restaurant was very quiet as only a few people dined during the lunch hour. For us this was perfect as we could have a conversation. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly staff. The food is good and is a bit on the high end for lunch time dining. For an Italian restaurant I was expecting more pasta dishes and I don't remember any on the menu. The menu is different but that is what makes this restaurant quaint and different.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ambiance and feel. ReallyGreat ambiance and feel. Really good food. If you love wine pairings with the right food; this is your place. We went with another couple and had a great time sharing and tasting the different dishes. The wait staff was very friendly and fun. Wines are pricey, food is reasonable.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFun dinner before the theater.Fun dinner before the theater. I had the octopus (with fennel and artichoke) - tender and good. My wife chose the scallop special, with pasta and saffron. Everything was delicious!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFast tasty pre show dinner. We both had the filet delicious sides of veggies included fennel roasted potatoes with garlic cloves delish our server was knowledgable & accommodating. My wife can't eat lactose or gluten so at an Italian restaurant that's wonderful.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMA-Ma-Zing!!!!I have been to Onotria for several work and charitable events but never as a casual diner. My husband had read some previous reviews as he had never been there before and was skeptical. He said we were either going to love it or hate it! I knew it would be the former and it certainly was! The menu is simple but pleasing to everyone! We had the stuffed zucchini blossoms that took us back to our recent trip to Sorrento! The wine list was extensive and reasonable. We had an amazing bottle which complemented the wonderful rib eye and filet that we each had. Their bread is amazing too! We will certainly be back and bring our friends!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my first visit andThis was my first visit and I will definitely return.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFoody-licious! luncheon....LOVE THIS! Suggested pairings for each foood item on menu. That was a nice touch. We had Sergio for waiter. Very Italian! I intend to go back when I am next in Orange County. PS, the front of the restaurant looks very unkempt, until you realize they have their orange herb and vegetable garden.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food. Good service.Good food. Good service. I have been back to this restaurant twice this week.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe ambiance was cozy, warmThe ambiance was cozy, warm and inviting. Food was good but I was expecting better. Burratta - exceptional
Branzino - the best this side of the Med (fresh lavender to rub on your hands to eliminate any fishy odor - what class)
Zabaglione - OMG, please leave room for this
We'll be back - A LOT!1/21/2013 12:00:00 AM
