  • "Hadn't been to O'Neils in years - wow the facelift made a difference! Food is good as always. Love the great pasta section of the menu. If you haven't been in a while (or ever) you really should go!"

  • "I was very impressed with O'Neil's. The food was delicious, the presentation beautiful, and the overall experience wonderful. I would definitely recommend it to everyone and return for another great meal."

  • "My wife and I visited with our daughter on a Friday evening. It was our first visit since the restaurant was remodeled and the menu revised. We were all impressed. Our entrees were very good and their presentations excellent. The kitchen was very accommodating with a couple special requests while our server was exceptionally attentive despite a fairly busy night. We'll definitely return, especially to take advantage of the outdoor dining."

  • "We have eaten at O'Neil's several times over many years. It had been over a year since we had been there last and were surprised to find that the dining room had been extensively remodeled since our last visit. This visit was on a Saturday evening. Most tables were filled and the noise level was much higher than we had experienced on previous visits. The food, however, was still well prepared and the service was very attentive. O'Neil's seemed to have a high ratio of service personnel to diners. Over-all, we would recommend this spot for people who enjoy a vibrant ambiance where they dine."

  • "Food is fresh and delicious. The restaurant is beautiful and the seating area so comfortable. We celebrated a friends birthday and enjoyed a great raspberry covered scoop of ice cream, enough for five of us to share. We look forward to returning soon!"

  • "Haven't been there in a while. The new decor looks nice but some of the couch seats in the middle of the room are awkward for seating. The food is still great. Everyone loved the salmon and the duck."

  • "Sunday night at 7:30 was uncrowded, so we got a choice banquette. Comfy seating, very attentive staff. Beet salad was big enough for two but I ate the whole thing. Grilled salmon was good, too, though the sauce was so so. Wish I had ordered it with the sauce on the side. Pomegranite martini was delicious, too!"

  • "I have been here several times now and enjoy the food but this was the first time that my friends were there. We were there on a Thursday night and when we got there it was fairly empty. It was puzzling why it took so long for someone to ask us if we would like a drink. The rest of the evening the service was ok, not outstanding, but passable. However, we were asked if we'd like coffee but we had to ask for a dessert menu. Strange....you think they would want to sell as much product as possible....I think the server was more interested in watching the Olympics. I would give it another try, but I think some additional management of the staff might improve the service."

  • "Made reservations for Valentine's Day/My Birthday and had a marvelous dinner. Fabulous rolls, followed by a nice sized portion house salad. The salmon was amazing. Two of us had it and talked about how good it was the rest of the meal. Duck, veal other items eaten at our table. Grand reviews. Split the chocolate cake for my birthday and it was delicious, decadent and delightful. A wonderful evening. Make reservations as the place fills up into the evening. Thanks, O'Neil's for a great birthday."

  • "Always reliable well prepared fresh foods, attractively presented. Liked the new appetizer of artichokes on bed of lentils and Would like to see more similar vegetarian additions to the menu."

  • "a fine diverse interesting dinner menu at affordable prices. We enjoyed the lamb osso buco and the scallops. Portions were just right and service right on time for both beverage and food, no hovering or pushing. You can schedule your evening around a comfortable dinner here. There was a capacity clientele on a Friday evening however conversation was at a normal level and there was no sense of staff rushing around. Ambiance is functional. This is not for your cozy romantic getaway - just have a very nice dinner experience and move on."

  • "The new decor at O'Neil's is terrific; it is bright, young and trendy, much like a Chicago restaurant. The menu hasn't really changed except for the gradually rising prices, although not unreasonable. The wine list is very limited but adequate and moderately priced. Our meal consisted of an excellent New England clam chowder, and entrees of skirt steak (which my wife loved and couldn't finish) and my not-fresh-tasting huge macadamia crusted sole that was just ok. Both our veggie sides were fresh and tasty. The pretzel rolls were great. It is worth going to O'Neil's, we will return on a regular basis, but it will always be 4/5 stars."

  • "We have been to O'Neils several times since the remodeling was completed. The good, really good, news is that the menu and the staff have remained the same. The food never disappoints and the friendliness of the service doesn't either. We have dined by ourselves and with different friends with whom we have dined prior to the remodeling of the restaurant. Each and every time, despite the food and service, we all miss the ambience and the intimacy of the "old" O'Neils. There was a true neighborhood feel then, replaced by a white and black color scheme, uncomfotable chairs and benches too wide for the average person. The great French bread also has been replaced wtih boring white rolls. Too bad. We'll focus on take-out now."

  • "My wife and I went to O'Neils for the first time on Saturday. The food was very good and we enjoyed our meal. However, there are just too many tables for the room available. We had a small table for two and felt like we were on top of the people next to us. It was also difficult for the servers to get around us. I would urge the management to remove a couple of tables - it is a shame that this let down a restaurant that serves great food."

  • "We went to O'Neil's on the most blustery night of autumn. Since we had an early booking we had pretty much our choice of seating. We each ordered something different out of the 4 of us. We hadn't been back to O'Neil's in awhile and so was hoping the salmon was as good as ever and it was. Others enjoyed the baked chicken, the osso buco and the red snapper. The desserts were high on the delicious scale as well. We enjoyed the praline basket (shared), the chocolate cake and the bread pudding! We can't wait to return."

  • "This is the second time I have been to O'Neils since it reopened and it was fabulous once again. This time we had the duck, the salmon, and the tilapia. All were excellent. The portion sizes are generous which I appreciate. We had the chocolate cake for dessert and it was delicious. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. Looking forward to my next visit!"

  • "Our waitress was great! She took pictures of us and knew how to use all of our phones and adjust the pictures! The complementary birthday dessert was not only delicious but beautifully presented and way more than enough! We will be returning!"

  • "The food was very good. Excellent service. Good wine list. The only issue is the noise level. It is very loud and makes conversation difficult."

  • "We hadn't been to O'Neil's in a while and were pleasantly surprised by the ambience. The remodeling has opened the place up quite a bit and it now has a thoroughly modern feel. Food is not spectacular but reliable good. It's a nice spot to meet friends as it has a varied menu that is not overpriced."

  • "We are regular visitors to O'Neil's and this was the best meal yet, as proclaimed by all four members of our dining party! Don't underestimate the fact that soup or salad is included in the entree price! The Caesar salad is as good or better than many upscale places! Our entrees included steak, chicken, scallops, and rigatoni carbonara; every single one was excellent and in portions large enough to bring some home. Service was friendly and efficient as always. The drink list is almost as big as the limited but sufficient wine list. A sure thing every time."
