Bad timing.We chose to go to ONE due to the fact that it was the weekend of the much music video awards and we were hoping to see some celebrities. However, what we did not realize wad that one celebrity can essentially have the power to take the whole kitchen hostage. Thanks to Taylor swift, we had to wait 3 hrs to get out meal. Sat down at 9, got out meal at midnight. Our server did however try to make up for it by filling up our glasses with sangria after sangria on the house, as well as bring us unlimited bread. Luckily, the ambiance and alcohol tied us over and actuallyade it into quite an enjoyable dining experience. I would recommend but I is quite noisy & the tables are close together so it's not the most relaxing meal you'll ever have.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA Delight!I went there for dinner with my friend a girls night out. The food was wonder right from the beginning through dessert. Each course was perfectly portioned and did not leave you feeling bloated just after the entrees. Each dish featured perfectly balanced flavours, and was very light and not greasy at all. Our server was wonderful! She was knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. Overall, we had an amazing dining experience and would definitely come back again.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, attentive serviceThe food at One is outstanding. Appetizers were the beet salad, a delightful collection served on a slate tablet, and the surprising fried chicken tacos, delicious on a wooden plank. Mains were chicken schnitzel, which sounds pedestrian but tasted anything but. Black cod was delightfully light. All the dishes had wonderful additions and sauces.
The side dishes were adequate. Oriental greens were tasty, but the frites were disappointingly ordinary.
Service was attentive, efficient and friendly. Desserts were sublime. My only criticism is that this is a very noisy restaurant, at least during the early evening when full of the after-work office crowd.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
